The Sanctuary Treehouse
Stars in the trees
The treehouse is thoughtfully-designed and the creek gurgling below and stars above make for a restful (though rustic) experience. The bathrooms are some ways from the treehouse, especially in the dark, but they are private/coded door with a nice shower head and room to move around.
The spring pool was definitely cold in late September but remained a highlight of “cold plunge” goodness.
The general store half mile down the street is well stocked and high quality and the pizza parlor surprised us with an excellent crust!
Overall a delightful experience.

Group Forest Tent Camping
Plenty of calm space for big group
This is my first time doing hip camp, and I was a little surprised at how expensive it was to book this site; however, we couldn't find a campground large enough to accommodate our group elsewhere (booking only a month out), and this was the only option I found that met our criteria (swimming, in woods, not too far from home). There were nice features in this campground that I haven't found elsewhere-- because there were not that many people there (off season and private campground), it was relatively quiet, we slept better, it was easy to spread our group out, our kids ran around a ton on their own, and we didn't worry for anyone's safety. The facilities (bathroom, showers, wash sink) are cleaner than at my own house, and we practically had both pools to ourselves. Being off season, the main pool was unheated and very cold -- luckily it was hot enough outside for us to enjoy lounging and taking quick dips. The communal firepit is sweet, they leave wood out, and there's a hose there to put the fire out after. The site manager was friendly and very responsive to the few questions and issues that came up. I would like to experience this campground again in the summer months and take advantage of the heated pool!

Furnished Glamping tent
Glamping above Napa Valley
The clamping tent was a nice experience, and in my opinion the land/area is best enjoyed in either this tent or one of the permanent/semi-permanent structures. I feel that tent camping would be better enjoyed in a more outdoorsy/remote location. Joe's land is comfortable and feels more like a getaway in a very small mountain village, which I find to be a good thing! There is a clean pool, a clean and very nice private bathroom (next to others, but you get a code for yours), a clean bed and plenty of privacy. We were able to take care of some lingering work on our laptops the first night thanks to the free and strong wifi. There is a large wood-fire pizza oven that we took advantage of that made the large group of campers nearby very jealous. We also went on a very nice hike up nearby the cal fire station. Joe himself is very kind and attentive to the needs of the entire camp. I will definitely consider this place again when I need a few days to decompress but still maintain a certain level of home-like comfort.

Beautiful shade cover with trees, very clean bathrooms and showers. Pool access is amazing, and poolside grill had good food, specifically an awesome veggie option that was delicious!! Camping in the dispersed site more similar to traditional camping with several people around, but still great experience overall!

Relaxing weekend getaway
I loved camping in the cabin. Joe was great and was busy the entire time running around but would stop to help you. We liked how everyone was friendly but still respected your privacy. Even the people using the pool for the day were nice. We packed way more than we needed for the cabin but we were surprised how much attention went into running the camp. I would definitely go back.

The Sanctuary Treehouse
I really enjoyed my time in the treehouse! It is a great space for some solid R&R. I brought my own large pitcher of water, but there is fresh water there too. The bathrooms are new and beautiful. It was wonderful to hear the creek flowing down below.

Furnished Glamping tent
The glamping tent is spacious and comfortable, the campgrounds are gorgeous, and Joe’s a terrific host! We stayed with our 4 year old and our baby (there was plenty of room for a travel crib), and it was a perfect setup for us. Can’t wait for our next stay!

Glamping becomes us
I'd come back to this gorgeously appointed glamping experience in a heartbeat. Even came with access to our own private and luxurious bathroom and private Weber grill/charcoal. The best part by far was the spring fed pool. The other pool is great too, but there is nothing like the pure waters of a cold plunge! Our trip coincided with an Ecstatic Dance night event. Lovely getaway all around. Bring friends, we wish we had.

The Sanctuary Treehouse
My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Treehouse. It is perfect for relaxing and feeling disconnected. It is right above a creek so the sound of water just made the experience even better. It is not too far from the rest of the camp, a very easy walk. There is no water or electricity at the tree house but the bathhouse at the camp have the nicest showers and bathrooms we've seen on a campsite: better than some hotel.
The staff is very friendly and we enjoyed the little DJ set on Saturday night. We recommend the tree house without hesitation!

Mooncat Tiny Home
The tiny home was great! It had pretty much everything you need for a short stay - awesome to have a full bath despite the small space, beds and linens were very comfortable, and the deck was great to hang out on. It gets pretty hot in Cobb in the summer but the tiny home stays cool during the day if you follow the instructions :) I also appreciated the community Joe and Noah built there. So many families in the area come to hang at the pool on the weekends, GREAT soundtrack playing all day long that gave the atmosphere a festive feel. There was a drumming circle one night, which was also nice to listen to in the background. The ceiling for the upper section is a little low and the stairs are steep, something to consider if you have someone with mobility limitations in your party. Other than that, it's a great say!

Our Youth Group Loved the Cabin!
This cabin is well maintained and equipped for an awesome experience! It was clean when we arrived and the kitchen is awesome! We used this cabin to cook food for our group that was tent camping in the group site. Couldn't have been happier with the arrangement. We stayed in the heat of July and the A/C worked great!

Maple Rustic Creekside Cabin
I had a great stay at the cabin! It had everything you need for cooking, which was really convenient. Though there were a lot of neighbors, the cabin was cozy and quiet. The porch was right next to the creek, which was great! There are two pools at the resort - one chlorinated and one smaller spring fed pool. The bigger pool was pretty popular throughout the day, but the smaller pool was quieter, which was super nice!

Camping in the Forest Event
We hosted a musical gathering of friends and family at the Pine Grove Cobb resort, and the experience was AMAZING. The host Joe was especially accommodating with our request to host a musical showcase of DJs, musicians, and performance artists at the pool area. We were provided electrical, mood lighting, and such a beautiful venue poolside for our event. The vibe was really magical. The camping experience itself was amazing as well. We had many electrical outlets, water, new facility for showers, bathrooms very accessible to our camping area. We had a cobb oven available for our use. Unlimited firewood for cooking. Our campsite was very large and can accommodate many people. We all had an amazing experience enjoying the beauty of the forest, as well as the pools and the surrounding areas. I would recommend this space for large groups, and events. I hope to recreate this experience again. Thank you Joe for welcoming us use your space. What a lovely place you have.

The treehouse is an exceptional getaway. It's located at the far end of the property away from other guests. You have complete privacy and the setting is serene with forest on every side and the sounds of the stream below. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to live in a tree for a few days!

Great little stay at Joe's tiny home. It's close to the pool, the pizza oven and the main bathrooms. But it has it's own full bath and tub/shower with nice looking fixtures and piping hot water. There's a huge fridge and it came stocked with 6 eggs from Joe's hens.
There's a river to explore, a nearby pizza place & market, everything you could ask for while still being in a forest.

The Sanctuary Treehouse
The treehouse was beautiful. The problems I have weren’t with the place at all, which is just lovely, but with Hipcamp and the pine grove resort website. It was very hard to tell what to expect and therefore what to bring to the treehouse. I’ll tell you- there ARE linens, including very warm blankets and the pillows were fine, so you don’t need to bring any bedding. So as far as sleeping goes, this is like a hotel.
There is no electricity, water or gas, at the treehouse, although there is water at the center of camp. That’s a 5 minute walk away, and, it’s nicer at the treehouse, so if I went again, I would just bring like 4 gallons of water, so I didn’t have to go to main camp.
Foodwise, this is like camping. If you want to make coffee, you should bring a camping stove. In general, you have to bring camping food - needs neither refrigeration nor cooking, unless you want to bring a camping stove and gas. There are grills at main camp, but it seems like it would be annoying to have to negotiate all that. Like I said, main camp is a 5 minute walk.
There is a path from the treehouse to the creek but there is poison oak everywhere so bring your long pants and long sleeves, and some poison oak remover.

Serene
We slept 25 hours in 2 days. This. Bed. Is. Bliss. The birds and creek sounds! Rain on the tin roof. Such a calming place to be.
Now— there’s no fire, no way to boil water, no interior bathroom (its a 5 minute walk away, so we peed in the forest), and no insulation so check the weather and bring a bunch of layers. If that sounds like your jam, then you’re about to be in heaven.
Other tip: We brought a cooler and grabbed charcuterie from the store 2 mins away in town. The cafe next to it is adorable, as is the pizza joint.

Amazing treehouse!
Beautiful treehouse! Rustic but very comfortable. Short walk from the treehouse to the communal camping area where you can get water, use the pizza oven or cook over a charcoal grill. There are little trails down to a nice creek. Perfect for a weekend getaway!
