This is a must hangout spot during the evenings for many guests before they hike back up to the campsite to retire for the night. There is also a portable toilet at the barn for guest convenience.
Moon Crest Valley Ranch is located less than 10 minutes from the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and 15 minutes from scenic Main Street Half Moon Bay.
We are also only 1/2 mile away from the Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve Trailhead that has an additional 30+ miles of gorgeous trails to explore. Bring your hiking shoes or bike!

Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization established in 1970, becoming one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. In 1969, 134 acres of this fertile coastline were rescued from commercial development. Slide Ranch camping fees directly fund scholarships for youth programs throughout the year.
Slide Ranch is an unpaved ranch environment. Our trails and garden paths all consist of uneven, sloping terrain, often muddy or soft ground during the winter season, and may be challenging to access for visitors with significant mobility restrictions.
Minors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
No pets allowed; service animals are permitted.
We do not have showering facilities or flush toilets. Water in all Slide Ranch taps is potable for refilling water bottles/jugs. Soap is provided for hand washing.

Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. Our 6+ acre ranch Misthaven sits in the redwood forest at Gilroy, just 20min from Gilroy downtown and 45min from San Jose. This ranch has huge space, lots of ranch amenities and many ranch related activities. If you are planning a short trip that you do not have to drive several hours to the busy lake Tahoe, Misthaven would be an ideal destination for family retreat, team building, or even a birthday party.
The ranch includes a 2,000 sq ft large barn with spacious indoor space, a 400 sq ft woodworking and crafts workshop, a 1,000 sq ft ranch center with microwave, oven and refrigerator, an amazing zipline, a shooting range for archery and BB gun under our staff guidance and supervision, a fenced petting zoo with goats, chicken, bunny and guinea pig, hammocks in the redwood forest and plenty of beautiful redwood trees.
With the ranch booking, you will have the access to:

Amazing symphony of nature and animals. 100% recommend this place if you want to reset your circadian rhythms. Me and my daughters slept like a log among many trees and orchestra of owls and turkey and birds singing in the night. Thanks Shelly for sharing such a nice glamping site with us!!

Weekend Trip to Santa Cruz Mountain Camping
The sunset looked so beautiful and once it got dark, the stars were so nice to look at. The bed was comfortable and we were able to stay warm throughout the night. It was a plus for me that there was already lanterns lighting up the area + a picnic table.

This is a great site to relax- beautiful sunsets, quiet and not too far from a super cool general store with live music! This is basically a meadow where there are a couple other longer-term sets ups along the edge but they’re a good distance away and we didn’t really notice them except the occasional car coming/going. Art was great and very helpful showing us our site. We’ll be back for sure!

This site is very private, beautifully situated in a gnarly oak forest. We loved camping there, as did our golden retrievers. Art was very hospitable, friendly and helpful. If you like primitive camping, no toilets, showers, fire rings, picnic benches, etc., just you and natural beauty, I'd highly recommend this site!

Weekend Trip to Camp Westy Wine Country
We really enjoyed camping in the Westy. It was super cute and comfortable. The fire pit and chairs were perfect. There was quite a bit of noise from the chickens, but it didn’t keep us from sleeping. Great short hikes with beautiful views in the hills around the ranch.

We stayed two nights at the Ridge campsite, and it was heavenly. It was just as advertised: gorgeous views in all directions including sunsets over the Pacific, total privacy, quiet and dark at night. This time of year (March), everything is so green and the cows dot the nearby hillsides. Art was a delightful host, and our dog loved sniffing and exploring the grounds. We'll be back!
