Nature lovers will enjoy nearby hiking spots like Newell Open Space, Wetlands Edge Park ( both just an 8-minute drive away), and Lynch Canyon Open Space, all offering cool views and plenty of trails to explore. With a warm and welcoming vibe, Ginger is fully equipped with sleeping space, a compact stove, sink, and a set of essentials including cookware, spices, oils, and an ice chest (just BYO ice!) to keep your favorite snacks and drinks cool. Outdoors, relax under the stars in a hammock, toast s’mores by the fire pit, or make use of the privacy pop-up toilet tent (clean bags included for easy disposal). Escape to the golden hills of wine country with Goldie the Westy, a bright yellow 1983 VW camper van tucked away on a working ranch in American Canyon—just 20 minutes from Napa and 15 minutes from the SF ferry. Goldie is your Mellow Yellow getaway—a cozy retro van with beds, a stove, a sink, and everything you need to keep it simple: cooking utensils, basic spices & oils, and a provided ice chest (ice not included) to chill your favorite finds. Outside, unwind in a hammock under the stars, cook s’mores by the fire pit, or use the pop-up toilet tent with privacy (bags provided for clean disposal). It’s a true glamping-meets-vintage-roadtrip experience—rooted in nature, but with a splash of sunshine-colored charm. We provide basic bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets), but we recommend packing extra warm layers or blankets during colder months, as it can get very cold at night – so be sure to bundle up! We strive to be eco-friendly and provide as many zero-waste options as we can to help care for the environment. This means you'll find many reusable and carefully cleaned products in our rentals, ensuring both sustainability and hygiene. Our goal is to minimize waste while offering a fresh, clean experience for you. Overall, cute set up but doesn’t necessarily feel like you are glamping. The noise from the cars/highway really disturbed our sleep. Wouldn’t recommend if you are a light sleeper

Glamping in the Westfalia

We loved glamping in the Westfalia. Everything was set up for us. Had a wonderful time making smores at the campfire 🔥 (bring a fire starter) and watching the stars. Out toddler loved it too. It was a wonderful quick getaway . There was another Westfalia Nextdoor to us that we made friends with & enjoyed hearing the roosters in the morning . Great location Close to Napa, & Sonoma with great places to eat and many wineries. Check out Traintown in Sonoma if looking for a family friendly place to go.

The setup was perfect! Very clean inside the van, and super neat little outdoor area. Grace is responsive, accommodating, and made our stay easy and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend for a nice weekend getaway!

First Van Camping Experience 💯
Ginger the Westy - Van Glamping
Our stay at Grace’s camper van was such a wonderful experience! 🏕️✨ This was our very first time staying in a van, so we were really excited and it definitely did not disappoint! The weather was beautiful, and the whole experience felt peaceful, cozy, and memorable. ❤️ The van was clean, smelled nice, and had everything we needed for a unique camping experience. Even the portable toilet was manageable (you do need to remove the plastic liner afterward), but honestly, it was no big deal and part of the van-camping adventure! 😄 One little tip from me, definitely bring a comforter or extra blanket if you want a cozier sleep. The host actually mentioned this, and I should have listened! 😂 Overall, we had such a lovely time and truly enjoyed our stay. For our first van-camping experience, Grace’s camper van was a 5-star experience for us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We would absolutely recommend it to future Hipcampers and would love to come back again! ❤️🏕️

We really enjoyed camping in the Westy. It was super cute and comfortable. The fire pit and chairs were perfect. There was quite a bit of noise from the chickens, but it didn’t keep us from sleeping. Great short hikes with beautiful views in the hills around the ranch.

It was a nice experience camping here. No issues and everything was hassle free. Try to arrive while there is still some sunlight, I arrived a bit late so someone around the area kindly helped me to locate the place. There were two cute cats when I arrived there, I wished I had something to feed them

Visited this gorgeous campsite – the scenery is breathtaking, and every detail shows real care for guests. But our one-night escape turned into a nightmare. The owner threw a party right on site: screaming kids until 10 PM, then blasting music so loud it echoed inside our car until 3 AM! As a working person, this was my only weekly chance to unwind in nature. Instead, I got zero sleep and zero respect. If you’re seeking peace, steer clear – this place has zero regard for quiet hours. 1/5 stars

Cozy and we truly enjoyed our stay! I definitely recommend it—it’s a unique experience. The van is super comfortable and clean If you’re going on a sunny day I suggest bringing a canopy or umbrella, as the sun can get quite strong and there’s no shaded area. At night, the temperature can drop significantly, so it’s best to bring an extra blanket and warm clothes, including gloves and a hat. It’s incredibly pleasant to sit by the fire while stargazing, but without enough layers, the cold can be intense. Other than that, it’s a one-of-a-kind place! 🚐🔥⛺️

Great vintage RV! So fun!

It was super cute. The RV is very clean and the host drove down to help us with some issues which was fixed quickly. We did camp fire too. There were roosters in the morning so FYI. We brought our own blankets too and that was useful cuz it was cold at night.

Cool and unique stay. We brought extra blankets because we read that the sleeping pads weren't great, glad we brought them. It made the stay much more comfortable. Great place to get away, there are some neighbor RV's next to the camper van as well as another camper van. There was some noise from neighbors but it was also a holiday weekend, so to be expected in my opinion. We brought our 2 year old and the noise didn't disrupt us at all, but some who expect true silence, you may not get that. We would definitely come stay again and hope to in the future.

We had a great stay in Graces westy!! The property is gorgeous and the van is so so cozy. The portable charger was super helpful and the brita in the fridge was a lifesaver. Playing cornhole in the morning and reading on the chairs out front was quite relaxing :) Great stay!
