Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. The driveway spot is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. It's a great place to hang your hammock and bring a good book or birdwatch. Frolic has been an adventure for me in Saying Yes to life and the rewarding challenges it brings. I fell in love with the huge grama oaks, the pristine pond and the feral overgrown everything. It has been a workin' progress and lots of time to sweat, craft, pause and listen. The property is shaped like a pint glass, running north to south, with a lovely bowl the pond sits in and an ancient meadow up behind the cabin full of apples 🍎 & pears 🍐. Up the hill, a hotter zone, more exposed with its own beauty, where we live. On the occasion, one of us may come down to the pond for a swim, especially when it's too hot up top. What an amazing place to stay! We did a spontaneous honeymoon getaway trip right after our wedding (no plans just spontaneous decision making) so we decided on staying at the foxes getaway and it did not disappoint. The apple turnovers are to DIE for and the house was adorable. We did have our two little doxies with us and they loved being able to graze the yard. The cute little town of galt was nearby and we explored the area (great ice cream). Otherwise, it was a beautiful place to stay and the couple who lives there was welcoming as well as kind. I couldn’t have been happier with the decision. Tips for those who want to visit: fridge space is small so be considerate of that and it’s a tiny home so don’t bring too much luggage.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our 9-month-old, and it was such a wonderful experience. We loved that we could upgrade provisions, we used the propane tank for the fire pit and the pour-over coffee setup, which came with freshly roasted beans (amazing!). The whole place has this relaxing, no-nonsense vibe that we really appreciated. We went during the fall, and it was so beautiful seeing the vines changing color. The electric blanket made our night cozy and comfortable even when it got chilly. Aaron was outstanding. His hospitality, knowledge, and genuine passion for his craft really stood out. We enjoyed wine tasting, hanging out in the “vincade,” and my husband watched a bit of Monday Night Football! The wine was fantastic, and we were so impressed we ended up joining the wine club. The yurt was spacious and comfy, the bed was great, and there was plenty of room for our daughter to crawl around. The portapotty was clean, and everything felt thoughtfully maintained. Just an overall relaxing, memorable trip. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect spot to get away for the weekend! The cabin area was clean and the owners friendly. To get down to the cabin is a little steep but if you don’t feel confident getting down or out of there the owner kindly offered to help out. Great for animal lovers as the horses, chickens, goats, and more are always nearby. The fresh eggs in the morning were the cherry on top. There’s only a porta potty on site but it was in A1 condition. Definitely recommending to friends and family.

Jeremy's "Super View Cabin" is a fun getaway with amazing view of the lake and accompanied by friendly animals. The cabin is comfortable with a queen size bed and an amazing view for sunrise and sunset. Amenities: Next to the cabin, Jeremy provides a picnic table with umbrella, chairs, propane fire pit, trash bin, BBQ stove and an outdoor shower powered by solar. While there is a water hose next to the BBQ, you may also use the outdoor kitchen area a short walk down the hill next to the chicken coop. Activities: Enjoy the view for sure! But if you're looking for other activities, there are plenty of friendly farm animals where you can get fresh eggs from the hen, say hello to the sheep/goats, and walk by the horses grazing on the grass. Like what others have said, the lake is a steep 20 min walk down and it will be challenging for little ones or elderly. If you do get to the lake, Jeremy provides kayak for you to bring down to the lake. There isn't quite an easy to hang out "beach area" of sort because it's quite rocky as the water has receded considerably for central CA agricultural needs. The super view cabin is fairly private unless you have people who camping further down driving back and forth often. Otherwise, it's a relaxing getaway for Hipcampers looking for a great lake view, fresh eggs daily and a friendly host.

I booked the lake view cabin to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The cabin itself was super cute, cozy, and had large windows perfect for stargazing at night. The view from the cabin was absolutely epic — both sunrise and sunset were breathtaking, and the lake was stunningly beautiful. The property has a lovely rustic charm with friendly animals like dogs, hens, sheep, goats, lambs, and a horse. There’s even a kayak available if you want to explore the lake, which we really enjoyed. Jeremy was an amazing host — friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond by arranging a beautiful bouquet for my wife at my request. He patiently answered all my questions since it was my first glamping experience, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. One small note for first-time campers: the portable toilet is a bit away from the cabin and doesn’t have a traditional flush, so it might be an adjustment at first. Overall, we had an incredible stay and would definitely love to come back again — next time with our friends! ⭐ Rating: 5/5 — Highly recommended!

Dustin and Om's land, farm, Glampgalore retreat was perfect for our 4 month old's first camping experience. The tent was so cozy, thoughtfully decorated and organized with string lights, a comfortable bed, dresser, side table, and cooking wares. Our dogs had a blast walking the beautiful trails all around and we had the best time feeding acorns to the goats and the cutest pigs you will ever meet. Being followed around by a gaggle of chickens, guinea hens, ducks, and one curious turkey made our trip all the more sweet. Dustin and Om are the best hosts we have ever had on Hipcamp and we will definitely be back in the spring!
