Due to a high risk fire zone, no open fires. Due to the proximity of the tents right next to Vega Rd, sounds from vehicles can be heard. We are situated in a rural neighborhood setting, with sounds of sheep, goats, chickens, wild turkeys, dogs and many birds nestled between both counties. For enhanced protection we ask that a waiver be signed. Security cameras are on site. While respecting your privacy, we can be seen improving the property. The terrain is hilly and staying on paths limits poison oak exposure. Vega Vortex has been called a Park and Machu Picchu due to the amphitheater landscaping of terracing. Practicing permaculture, a diversity of pollinating plants/ flowers, organic garden and art features exist. Minutes away from National Parks, the Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz Beach Board Walk, Roaring Camp Train, Monterey Bay Aquarium, National Steinbeck Center, Moss Landing, Elkhorn Slough/Canoe/Kayak, Estuaries (bird watching), golfing and multiple beaches. Beautiful! Veronica was a wonderful host. Very welcoming and gracious. There is no service in the area and Veronica was kind enough to let us use her phone to get in touch with the rest of our group to give some updated instructions/directions. The grounds are well-maintained and the sites were big enough to accommodate big groups with multiple cars. Our group had a mix of car and tent campers and it was big enough to accommodate us all comfortably. Also, the sunset view is absolutely stunning! Looking forward to our next trip back here. John was a wonderful host! The campsite was clean, quiet, and the bathrooms were clean! The site also had a lovely Baba Temple on it that I went to and meditated at. Next time, I’ll remember my yoga mat. There’s a great little winery/cidery on site too. We didn’t get a chance to go because we had a busy weekend, but will be sure to next time. Also, their winery dog is super sweet and joined us on some walks around the property!

We had an awesome time at camp rewilding ! We had booked skid camp but unfortunately high clearance 4x4 was needed. My suv was too low for my comfort to keep going ! Haha but we messaged Jessica and she accommodated us with out any questions. Cams place was a nice spot with plenty of space for our family, our pup was able to run around and had the time of his life. We would definitely recommend. Jessica is a great host, we can’t wait to go back !

Worth the drive!! What an amazing hidden gem, just outside of town you feel like you've escaped to a private island -- amenities galore (fancy fire pits with cozy seating, a playground, pool, sauna, and gorgeous views, all included). We only had one night to stay, and it was "off season" December, but still a fantastic stay and we'll definitely be back.

This was an incredibly peaceful, beautiful site. Had a good experience with Art's friend Stas showing us how to get to the site. There is a picnic table and a bench at the site that were handy. The views of the sunset on one side and the sun rise on the other were amazing. There was good bird-watching and coyote-listening, and we enjoyed watching some kind of cute mole thing excavating tunnels right next to us at the site. Our dog really enjoyed staying there too. The general store/cafe/bar 5 minutes down the road was had fun vibes and amazing pastries in the morning.

Wow! What a treat. The Creek Site is private, quiet, and so peaceful. We travel with a little one, and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The short hike from the site to the creek was the perfect challenge for the kiddo's little legs. We were immersed in nature and lulled to sleep by the sound of the creek below, but the property was also just a short drive to nearby amenities and attractions. (We couldn't miss the steam train in Felton.) Doug was very communicative and friendly. We will definitely come back.

Really lovely site and very kind host. It took us an hour to get to Pinnacles, so not quite as close as we thought - but a really beautiful stay. Fair warning - the directions are a little tricky and there isn’t any cell coverage. Would recommend taking a peak at you map before you lose coverage :)

Great secluded spot in the redwoods! You’ll have the nice cleared wooded area to yourselves. We stayed at campsite 1 up top. Campsite 2 is about a mile down the dirt road closer to the creek. It’s a nice hike down and gets pretty steep at the end. There are no toilets, but well water. We had no problem driving our 2 wheel drive camper van there. Just the camping we like. Beautiful woodsy area and just us! Nice hosts, we’ll be back!

What an amazing place!! Super clean, great views of the strawberry fields, clean Porto potty to use (was serviced day before we arrived), and the hosts were super friendly. Robin made us cookies and gave us fresh eggs from their chickens. Lots of privacy between the 3 camp sites available. Couldn’t have been happier! The beach is only an 8 min walk away and what a phenomenal beach. Dog friendly and super quiet, perfect spot to go surfing and/or watch the surfers. Soft sand and people are friendly. Would definitely recommend to a friend and will be back soon.

We had a fantastic time staying at Robin and Rays property. They were both very personable and gracious hosts. Robins farm fresh eggs were delicious too.
