Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Early and late check-out available on tent/rv sites, free of charge. Just message me if you need an earlier check in! Free firewood! We are 30 minutes to the main gate of Yosemite National Park. A great place to stay just outside of the park. Be near the park, but feel that complete privacy. These sites are very spaced out from each other and are large. No need to cram together! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch!
We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite.
We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite.
There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour.
We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport.
When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful!
This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.
Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds.
Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite.
A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

The River Electric is a camp resort and swim club featuring 40 furnished tents, two pools, a full-service restaurant and cocktail bar, and multiple event spaces. It’s available for daytime visits, overnights, and full event buy outs.
The River Electric is not a traditional campground - we do not allow guests to bring in stoves or outside food. We have a full bar and restaurant, communal fire pit and well-stocked camp store.
Our tented rooms have both king and double bed options with luxury bedding, lounge furnishings, and all the amenities of a boutique hotel. A centrally located bathhouse offers a variety of facilities including indoor and outdoor showers, single stall restrooms, and a dedicated area for getting ready.
Please note our tents share one main pathway and noise travels easily. We do not recommend overnights for families with children who do not sleep through the night or have difficulty adhering to quiet hours as this is disruptive for other guests. Similarly if you are looking for a silent retreat and require an early bedtime we may not be the right fit.
Quiet hours in the campground are 10pm-7am.
The River Electric offers two unique pool areas – the Main Pool, which is a 60-foot round pool at the heart of the property, and The Little Dipper Pool, our smaller rectangular pool that is available for private rental, and serves as our adult-only swimming area. Both pools are located at the center of the property, with easy access to The Pool Bar, restrooms and other amenities.
Access to the facilities begins at 4pm on the day of arrival and continues till the pool closes on your day of departure (6 pm or later depending on the day of the week).
The River Electric is nestled in the woods and walking distance from downtown Guerneville, a hidden gem in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, where towering redwoods meet riverfront charm. From kayaking and wine tasting to quirky shops, lively bars, and award-winning dining, it’s the perfect spot for adventure and relaxation.

Surrounded by redwoods, river access, and quiet coastal beauty, Terwer RV Park is a simple, old-fashioned place to camp. We are not a luxury resort, and that is part of the charm. You will find open space, scattered trees, RV sites, tent camping, fresh air, and a slower pace.
The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, or sit by the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river.
We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough for easy access but far enough away to enjoy a quieter stay. Wildlife is common in the area, so please secure your food and trash at night.
There is plenty to explore nearby, including Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods.
A few things to know before you book:
-Firewood is available on site.
-Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground.
-Electric vehicle charging is $10 per charge and must be arranged ahead of time. 50 amp service is limited, and guests must provide their own adapters.
-Well-behaved pets are welcome.
-Kids and laughter are always welcome.
-We offer dry camping, 30 amp sites, and 50 amp pull-through sites.
-Late arrivals are okay. If you plan to arrive after 10:00 p.m., please text us before 9:00 p.m. so we can send you check-in instructions.

Welcome to Finnon Lake Recreation Area!
The night skies above Finnon Lake will reveal stars unseen in California. Enjoy searching for bullfrogs, and watch the flock of Canadian Geese fly in right at sunset as the horizon blends into the watercolor sky.
This private lake supports the fire protection efforts of the Mosquito Fire Protection District and the firefighters of this community. Community volunteers manage the lake for the residents and the Fire Station.
The primary funding source for the Finnon Lake Restoration is the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, which was signed into law in 2004 with a mission to support “efforts that improve the environmental, economic and social well-being of the Sierra Nevada Region, its communities and the residents of California,” according to its Website. Finnon Lake is also home to a popular 18-hole disc golf course and Mosquito’s only restaurant, Smoke on the Water Diner, which is open on weekends only. 530-622-1060.

Firewood is not provided, though there are several roadside stands nearby where it is available for purchase.
You'll be pretty independent here. We provide self-check-in for your convenience. Directions and access information (including the bathroom code!) will be messaged to you prior to your stay.
Jug Handle is the perfect place to unplug. There is NO WIFI and LIMITED/NO CELL SERVICE.
Weather and wind can kick up suddenly on the coast. It is your personal responsibility to be prepared and use caution. We reserve the right to ban campfires at any time (generally if winds are over 10mph). We reserve the right to close the campground at any time if conditions are unsafe. Beautiful natural campsites in the Valley of the Moon (Ojai Valley). Our sites are within an eighth of a mile of walking, running, biking, and riding trails from Ojai to the beaches of Ventura. On many days you can experience Ojai’s famous pink moments. You can hike the trails above Ojai, boat, eat, or picnic at Lake Casitas. Travel to nearby Ventura to shop, fish the pier, or take a deep sea fishing charter or Island charter to Whale watch or fish around the Channel Islands.
Please note the aerial view of the camping area recently placed by Hipcamp is NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE of the current camping sites and shows a photo that is many years old when the site was merely land.
That photo is without any of the existing amenities or improvements. The actual sites are all Larger than Federal Park and Statepark guidelines, with averages of 20'x30' for campsites and 20'x40' for a long RVCampsite.
We have planted many young trees and continue to plant trees and native shrubs around and near the sites. We have picnic tables, table coverings, fire pits, and camping rugs/footprints. There is also an outdoor shower, a shower tent with hot water, and an upgraded porta-potty with a sink.
Note: During times when high heat is predicted, we strongly recommend that our Hipcampers bring pop-up shade tents or canopies for their sites.
The Hipcamp is adjacent to our working ranch, and any photos of old sheds, trucks, a wood lot, or other equipment are NOT on the Hipcamp, but you will drive past that property to get to the separate Hipcamp area.
Wineries, Farmer's Markets, Craft Breweries, dispensaries, and more are within 10 to 15 minutes of our site. Our location allows moments when you may see Hawks, Owls, Geese, Swallows, Robins, Bluebirds, and more.
We offer both tent and RV camping.

Laura was a super nice host and the property was well maintained including the site, community kitchen area and bathroom/shower. It’s a great little spot just 30 minutes outside of downtown San Diego. The river and frogs made some great relaxing sounds that really made me feel like I was on a legitimate trip away from home. Just be advised that the sites are about 20-30 feet apart and they don’t allow fires, however she let me bring a propane fire ring, so really no impact on the fire experience. I have the fire ring for exactly that reason.

Redwood Camp #1 at Salmon Creek Ranch was one of the best sites I've ever stayed at near the SF Bay Area. It was a giant space nestled in a beautiful redwood grove. Other sites were relatively spread out, so felt pretty private. I'd gladly return.

This place is great! Easy to get to, super quiet, super clean, and very peaceful.
The showers and toilets are very close to the full hookup sites and the river is maybe a 3 minute walk. When you walk down to the little beach at the river you can hang out and watch rafters, beavers, and geese cruise by.
There are two group tent sites that were empty when we were there but they look super fun and have water and shade.
For the full hookup sites, there are only three and one of them is pretty far from the other two. Even when all full there’s plenty of privacy.

We really enjoyed our one night stay in the Oak Grove at Splitrock farm. What a cool place. The property was easy to navigate with all their signage. We had different options for campsites and we were able to get one with a fire pit and a nice view. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest bathrooms we have ever had camping. Included was flushing toilet and running sink. They even had a cool outdoor shower. We will be back and plan to stay longer to appreciate the rest of the property. They were also very responsive with any questions we had thru Hipcamp messaging. Definitely recommend!

Great spot with an amazing view! The only thing I wish had been clearer when booking is that "The Perch" site is part of a shared area with multiple campsites, and the deck is a public amenity available to other guests. If you are looking for more privacy, I would recommend confirming the layout with the venue or booking the adjoining site as well.

Magical place with such a peaceful vibe!
Perfect if you’re wanting a quick getaway. Perfect for car campers, as I camped out in my Toyota RAV4. My concern was there would only be a couple of communal fire pits to use— but many tent sides have their own fire pit, so I was able to have the privacy I wanted.
You can see or hear campers spread throughout the communal campground, but it felt very safe and all the campers were respectful of noise levels.
Convenient commodities like flushing toilet outhouse, shower, and communal kitchen.
Would love to host a retreat sometime there in the future!

Incredible view, amazing hot springs, and friendly host. The cabins were adorable, and the grounds are kept so nice with beautiful gardens and cute animals. I had such a wonderful time, and hope that we didn't overstay our welcome by leaving a but late from our site.

1 night at Hideout Mountain Lodge
We had everything we needed in this cozy little space! Firepit, extra wood, heater for a really chilly night, utensils were provided that we didn't even need. Close by and easy to access shower + bathroom options! The sites and views were BEAUTIFUL and me and my little family had such a lovely, peaceful time. Plenty of wildlife to scope out and you're only a twenty minute drive away from Pie. Absolutely woulds stay here again! If you're looking for a cozy get away, look no further. So happy we chose this spot!

We had the best time here! The campsite is right along the river with amazing views, plus access to a hot spring and the water itself. Everything was so well maintained and peaceful. Rockie was so friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt quiet, relaxing, and really special.

My friend and I stayed at site 19C and it was the perfect size for the two of us and our tent. The check in process was so easy and helpful as the staff explained everything we would need to know. Having WiFi within the campgrounds even if not at our site was super helpful. The general/gift store is an added bonus. A lot to do even right at the campsite. As two women, we felt very safe and would absolutely stay again. We highly recommend this campsite to any looking to stay! We were just passing through, but I could also see it being a good place to stay multiple nights.
