Tiny home nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe but away from the chaos.
Host lives on property with 4 year old German shepherd. I typically leave for the weekend, however i will probably be there if booking during the week (Ill be gone most of the day though) . There are 4 neighbors but their properties are not visible, feels very private. Please be respectful of the neighbors property, they all have cameras :)
The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend.

•Full sized futon downstairs, no bedding provided please bring your own if planning on using the futon.

Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet. Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th.
The road on the property is a dirt road. All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer
The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section. There is one walk-in site at the top of the property.
There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles.

Bright Bear Camp is a private two-acre property bordering Tahoe National Forest. We are located at 4300' elevation down a mostly dirt road along the beautiful Bear River and Bear Valley. This is a very peaceful spot among the trees with a small meadow and creek on the property.

Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes.

There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

Feels far away, yet close to services and the interstate.
We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors, so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! You can hoot and holler and have a great time!
In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates and number of adventurers, as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek.

Each yurt has a kitchen that is fully equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots and pans, grill, etc.
Each yurt has a Queen bed with a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night.
Each yurt has its own dedicated wood-fired hot tub. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot.
Things you might like to bring: headlamps, robe, flip flops, slippers, hiking shoes.
Water: we are on a well and provide fresh drinking water in a container for you. It’s fine to drink, cook, and bathe with the water from the tap but it can have a minerally quality to it. We test the well annually.
We provide filtered water but if it runs out, the water out of the tap is safe and delicious.
The hot tub: it’s wood fired. This means you have to heat it with a fire to get it hot. This can take many hours to get to the right temperature. It’s a good idea to start a fire right when you get there! This tub may have leaves in it (they fall from above) and cloudy water. The water should NOT smell, the cloudiness is a part of the cedar tubs charm- ash from the fire and particulate from the cedar mix together. We treat it between guests with natural products that maintain the wood (you can’t use chlorine in these tubs). We clean it regularly. Shower before using it to wash off any oils please! The outdoor shower is lovely :)
Fireplace: We will leave you a bundle of wood that comes with the rental. If you need more wood you can purchase it from us or from the grocery store. We have lots of wood at the yurt and we ask you to pay $10 per bundle if you use more then we leave you inside. This is on the honor system- It takes a lot of time and resources to keep wood stocked for the property. If you don’t know how to start a fire you may want to bring an instant log with you. Please leave the lighter behind for the next guest.
Sleep: we have a heating blanket for cold nights, It’s about 10 degrees cooler on our land than in town. This is a real treat during our hot summers. There will be a fan for you as well during the warm season.
We live in the woods, there are bugs and wild animals on/or near the property. This is part of the country charm and should be expected. Please don't leave food outside.

We acknowledge that our property is located on unceeded land. It is the traditional homeland of the Nisenan tribe. The Nisenan tribe is alive and active and continues to fight for federal recognition and compensation for land loss.

Adam has a very nice piece of land, it is a perfect setting for what he has done with it. You get a bit of everything the deep forest to open prairies. The cabins are very rustic, I only saw inside of the Geronimo, however the others appear to be equal in quality. I absolutely loved the group cabins beautiful! ( from the outside of course) If you enjoy just unplugging and being in nature this is where to go. Make sure you do bring bug repellent. Thank you, Adam for sharing your land, with individuals like myself who just need a break from the hustle and bustle.

We loved our stay at Om Sweet Om. Dustin and Om have created a sweet spot to get away from it all, in comfort! They were super welcoming, and made our stay perfect. Our tent had a comfy bed and linens, and a table on which to have our meals. We enjoyed playing Scrabble (which was in the tent!,) and loved visiting with all of the furry and feathered residents. The cold plunge was a treat after a day of hiking, and the sunsets were just stunning. And their outhouse was an A+ as far as outhouses go! ; )

We had a great time car camping on Dustin’s land! He was very accommodating, and we could easily come and go as we needed. The composting toilet worked well for our needs. A highlight was getting to pet the goats and dogs — such a fun, welcoming stay!

Such an amazing stay! The camping site was beautifully set up and organized. Great site to just relax under the stars with the dogs. Got some of the best sleep ever! Bathroom facilities were also very nice and plenty of space and privacy. A lot of activities to do in the surrounding areas as well. I highly recommend!

Nice spot with a very comfortable bed. Hot tub was lovely and the bathroom was also great and accessible. The gate was a little confusing as the code was for the padlock, and not the electric keypad but once we were in everything was easy peasy. Thank you!

We enjoyed the relaxing and quiet site! The view was amazing all day (specially the early morning). The site was also surprisingly spacious, covered by trees all day, had a nice breeze, and allowed us to move around easily. The site had great amenities, which was an outlet, string lights, a picnic table, and a clean/aesthetic bathroom building that helped with the ease of use of the whole campsite.
The noise level for the site is mostly quiet, but there is an agacent road that vehicles go up and down the road (not too frequent) and a distant shooting range?
Wildlife is also great! We had seen a deer, which we believe is an occasional guest due to the grasses in the area. We also seen some cicadas which molted around our campsite.
Overall a wonderful campsite for those wanting a quiet relaxing getaway!

2 nights at Roughlands
Such a dreaaammm. It was exactly the little getaway I so desperately needed from the bay. My only regret is not figuring out how to stay one more night. Although, I do believe it was such a dream (besides the gorgeous amenities) was the fact that no one else was staying in the yurts. I didn’t realize the lack of privacy before getting there so I want to post this so it’s a bit more clear. From the deck of the poppy yurt, you can clearly see nearly half the tub. The other yurt has even more clear of a view. That being said, I had it all nearly to myself and I watched the full moon rise both nights from that beautiful tub. The bedding is also such an incredible treat. Feels so plush and luxurious.

My wife and I had the most amazing stay at Sky Canyon. The wolf moon camping spot was absolutely magical, and the on-site amenities made our trip even better. The host, Lucie, was very communicative and so helpful, going above and beyond to make sure that our stay went well. The sleeping area was spacious and clean, and the on-site restroom was clean and well taken care of.
We absolutely would love to stay here again, and would recommend to anyone looking to have a great time with a low-effort camping trip.

About
We've all heard of the Donner Party. They're the pioneers who were stuck in the mountainous Donner Pass during the winter. You remember: They ended up eating their dead (ewww).
Well, here's where you can learn the real story. The Emigrant Trail Museum is fascinating. It helps you understand just what it meant to people in the past to come to California.
Exhibits also tell the stories of the Native-American Washoe tribe. You can also learn about the building of the transcontinental railroad, primarily by Chinese immigrants.
And when you're done with history, splash right into Donner Lake. This beautiful lake welcomes kayaker, windsurfers, and swimmers. You'll have to leave the park's boundaries if you need a boat ramp (and the fishing is only so-so).
Eight miles of hiking trails let you explore this patch of the Sierras. Three campgrounds are available (all with metal lockers to protect food from black bears).

This spot is close to home and beautiful! We camp in our travel trailer here and enjoy the water fun and beach. Always clean and beautiful. They have great 4th of July activities for the whole family. Will always go back!

Donner Lake is a magical little retreat and a nice change of pace from the busier, bigger Lake Tahoe. Camping at Donner during the 4th of July is a treat. Fireworks go off down at the west end of the lake so reserve a site early or stake out a spot along one of the many public docks to get the best view.
