Had a great two night stay with my partner. It was pretty hazy from the fires, but the sunset on the second night was absolutely spectacular! We were happy to have brought a shade structure - the site is pretty exposed. Can’t be the privacy and quiet. Would love to come back!

Wonderful vista and lots of privacy
Very excited about our first Hipcamp stay - was much happier camping than staying at a hotel in Reno. Camp site was spacious and easy to find in the dark (important for us because we had just driven 7 hours to get there). Appreciated the thoughtful amenities like trash can and Yellowjacket traps. Thanks for the great spot!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway
Liz was amazing! And so responsive. The 12 acre property is beautiful and very remote with incredible views (and you get it all to yourself)!! If you’re looking to be completely alone in the mountains, this is the place for you :) it was super windy with a really bad thunder and lightning storm, which broke our tent, so we ended up having to go stay in a hotel (a modified glamping trip) but without the storm and smoke, I would absolutely return!! The roads off of Cartwright are very steep and loose gravel and although they didn’t require 4wd, I can’t really imagine driving them in anything but a truck or SUV. Liz, thank you for letting stay on your beautiful property. Also this was SOOOO close to the city which was so nice for grabbing groceries and random things we needed. And the direction on Apple Maps seemed to get us to the right place (left off of Cartwright onto Hamilton, another left onto Globe then a right onto Yellowjacket and go up the hill and the property is on the left)

Close to Reno, but far enough away
Great little future home site that has a ton of great views and neat topography. The dogs loved to explore, and we loved the view. It seemed to be over the smoke-filled valley, not in it, which was a relief. We were glad for the escape. You can see civilization, so even without trails you won't get turned around. We were surprised we had cell reception at the top! Lovely place with lots of nature, this is definitely home to some wild horses.

Amazing views! It was a little tricky for us to find the site, but it was well worth the search! If you have 4WD I think it is fine to follow the google map directions, but if not then definitely follow Liz's instructions. Magical sunrise and tons of privacy.

The site was private and beautiful, would definitely recommend it! We were very happy to have 4W drive- not sure we could have accessed without it.

Exactly as advertised -- a quiet private perch, better found by heeding Liz's directions, not Google maps.

Great views. Very private!
We had a great time at this camp very private. Incredible views. Looks to be an awesome home site for someone one day so take the opportunity and camp there before somethings built. Or maybe they will set aside some area for camping in the future it’s a great place.

Would do it again, for sure...
Beautiful views, spacious campground area and stars, stars, STARS at night.
Private, serene and a great place to camp on our way to Tahoe.
Host was responsive and there was a nice bit of firewood already there for us, although plenty was available to scaventge. :-)

This campsite was everything and more than I imagined with beautiful views, privacy, and enough open space for multiple tents. There were two firepits when I arrived with a free bundle of wood. I would recommend a four-wheel drive car for the bumpy road (ended up taking a wild ride through Google Map directions as opposed to provided instructions). I had phone service at the site too. Reno and Tahoe are both very close. Highly recommend this amazingly peaceful site! I was already blown away by the photos but seeing it person was ten times better :)

Main reason we booked was they allowed our dog and near Tahoe area. Not too far a drive from Reno, we brought plenty of water though since it's isolated. Great for offleash with animal. Pretty views- fun to sit out in the morning and night and take it all in, sat by the nice campfire and talked for hours under the stars, private space where you could see a few houses in the far distance but nobody nearby. Super windy at times, was fun to fly a kite. Temperature and sun could shift dramatically, shade in the tree areas was nice and large open areas for sunning. Hiked around a bit, walking the primitive roads was easy. Follow the hosts driving instructions, we used Google Maps and ended up taking a more unkept road while the host instructions has a much more well maintained road. Was a bit hard to find at nighttime since number sign isn't directly on the street, bring a flashlight if arriving late to find sign a bit up the driveway.

Stay here!!
We would have stayed forever if we could. This place is so incredibly beautiful, quite, cozy, and just all around wonderful! You are way up there! The views are stunning. For sure listen to Liz’s directions.. my girlfriend and I followed our gps, which got us there, but up some wild dirt roads all the way up the mountain.. in a Prius! I would 100% take the wild drive up again though if it were the only way. This was my favorite night/morning camping ever. We set up our tent in a little cozy, sand filled area and it was super comfortable! Check out the picture! We are coming back here for sure. Stay stay stay! You will not regret it :)

My partner and I (and our pup!) stayed at Liz’s for one night on a road trip. Such a nice spot about 30 minutes off the 80. Beautiful views and awesome stars at night. Lots of space for pitching your tent or parking your van, plus a nice picnic table and a great little fire pit. We will definitely stay again if we ever need a spot to camp near Reno!

We had a an amazing time at the campsite. It was private, so making noise wasn’t an issue. Liz was quick to respond to any questions. There was a lot of wood at the campsite to setup a campfire.

Great view and super private
We did a quick one night trip to Liz’s property and had a blast! The weather cooperated for the most part and the views were unreal. Fun trip up as well, got to stretch the trucks legs a little bit. Liz was great at communicating and we had zero interruptions. Will definitely be back again soon!!

The Perfect Getaway
First and foremost, Liz was a FANTASTIC host! I messed up the directions a little on the way out and then we couldn't find the driveway to the spot - Liz was texting me back almost immediately providing us with directions! Once we got to the campsite we were pleasantly surprised to see that she had put a pile of wood by the campfire!
The site itself was absolutely breathtaking and the views are incredible all the way around. It is truly so quiet and serene out there! We forgot a couple of things and it was so easy to get into town to go to a Walmart.
There are tons of spots to explore on the property itself and the stars at night were phenomenal! It was so secluded we truly felt like we had our own little piece of the mountains. We would definitely recommend this HipCamp to our friends and we WILL be back!

Great dispersed campground
This campground was close to Reno and easy to find. I would definitely recommend 4WD as there are some rocky and overgrown parts of the road. This is a dispersed site and does not have any amenities but it was perfect for what I was looking for. There is lots of flat land to pitch a tent, and some more sheltered places as well. The views from the campsite were beautiful!

Beautiful views, private camp
Great place to camp! The location was private with stunning views of the valley. There are no amenities, so you need to be self-sufficient, but if that's what you're looking for, this is a great spot.
