Hello all! If you're looking for some glamping with creature comforts, while just being 10 minutes away from restaurants. This is the place for you. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, trampolines (kids only), and hammocks.
Our check in window is strict: 3-6pm. Only later check in is allowed if discussed previously with host.
There is no cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery).
THERE IS A 2-3 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5!
Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger.
This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area.

Grey Oaks is located on 20 acres of land, with multiple interesting and cool landscape features, hot water shower, and animals up by the house (1/4 mile from the campsites) that you can interact with during your stay here. ( 2 pasture horses, 1 Donkey, 2 friendly dogs, and 1 awesome cat). At the campsites, we have picnic tables, fire pits, bbqs, chairs, and more. A clean and fresh well water hand/dishwashing station and two outhouses are conveniently located to the campsites. We provide one hot water shower and there are 3 outhouse style toilets on the grounds.
We do not provide any soaps/shampoos/sponges, etc so pleas bring your own.
There is NO running water at the sites so we suggest you bring your own drinking water. There will be limited water provided for hand/dish washing.
We are a pack it in/pack it out campground so please, be mindful of waste as we ask that you take it out with you. We do not have dumpsters/trash service on site so please be mindful of this when packing and booking.
Firewood will be provided at your site when you check in. We make a nightly run to check in and replenish and/or, you may message us up to 8pm if you'd like more. We will restock your wood rack the next day for those staying multiple nights.
It really is a beautiful and wonderful property. There is wildlife, and it is private and peaceful. It is very dark at night and the view of the stars, moon, and planets is amazing.
There is poison oak on the property so please be aware. We will show you what it looks like, so you can easily avoid it.

You can also visit local attractions like the Mystery Spot, the Santa Cruz Wharf, and the Seymour Marine Discovery Center.

Rabbits everywhere!....little cute ones. The are in the process of "updating", so good job there, lots of nooks and crannies to fish from, can't wait to get back!

Loved the camp spot at Egret’s nest! Woke up to cows in the distance and bought some fresh eggs for breakfast. The camp site was very spacious and we had privacy away from the other campers. A good distance from Tomales and Point Reyes as well. Weather: Mornings were a bit damp in August, a bit of wind before sunset. Very quiet during the night and skies were clear to see the stars. A very well maintained area, would come back!

Genuinely great!! Super nice area and it’s very nice to be so close to the beach. Only downside is that there’s no showers/regular bathrooms. I’m a bit of a glamper so I enjoy those amenities, but the compostable bathroom is definitely good enough for what we needed. The cows were a cute bonus to see and the hosts themselves were great whenever I had questions. Hope to be able to go back at some point :)

Went on our first camp trip as a family of 3 + a fur baby. The shaded tent area was perfect! Amenities & bathroom/shower were very close to us. Would definitely recommend this place. We were even able to charge our power station too close to our site which was a huge plus. Security is always there so it was safe.

Our stay was great, we enjoyed our weekend very much. The only suggestion id make is that the cabin be cleaned better, the window sills were dirty and the blinds needed cleaning. Price was great, cooking equipment and utensils were ok, they served the need. One last thing is the playground for the kids for sure needs work, I would love to bring my grandkids but there would not be much for them to do.

We love staying at The Meadows!
It's a perfect place to rest up before we go to Stockton to see my girlfriend's -mother.
We are usually the only one's there and it is quiet and restful.
Would definitely recommend!

Doug and Denise were incredible hosts! Doug was especially generous with his time, showing our kids around the ranch and making them feel so welcome. We also really enjoyed a hike down to the creek.
The campsite itself was exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, private, and very secluded from both the main house and the other campsite on the property. It felt like we had our own little corner of the ranch.
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property to other Hipcampers!

Weekend Trip to Santa Cruz Mountain Camping
Shelly was a wonderful host!! The tent was extremely cozy and we couldn’t recommend it enough! The porch is a wonderful addition to the campsite that allowed us to look over the property as the sun set. There’s a really cute grocery store a 5 minute drive away as well as a lovely wine tasting spot called Silver Mountain Winery 10 minutes away with amazing views and yummy wine. Weekend Trip to Double Bear
I loved Double Bear. Mathilda was a super host answering all my questions in advance and then checking- in to ask if we needed anything. The Yurt Bear Hollow was spectacular. So clean! Everything impeccable! Same for bathrooms and kitchen. The dirt road is challenging first, but doable and after we did a trip to a state park and came back, it felt so much easier the second time. It is a small price to pay to be so close to Los Gatos but so immersed in the wilderness. This place has the perfect balance of rustic setting but with all the basic comforts that makes a quick weekend trip easy or a long term comfortable. The wifi worked very well. We enjoyed the fire pit and the jacuzzi. It was my first time in the area so we travelled to Big Basin state park but it is still impacted from the last fire so we went to Henry Cowell state park which was much nicer. I am recommending this place to all my friends and I hope I can come back soon. Next time, I would like to bring a great book and hang out more in the property and explore the creek. Such a great place to just relax and be.

Beautiful, serene property with fun for my 5 year old kiddo (and other kiddos there). Check in was easy, everything was as it was described on the listing. Hot shower was a welcome amenity. the pool was chilly and refreshing after a hot August day at the Boardwalk.

The most INCREDIBLE yurt experience- my entire friend group had the best weekend! Amenities were top notch, the yurt was perfectly spacious and beautiful, and it’s in a stunning area! Highly recommend, 10/10. We hope to be back soon!

Very beautiful scenery. Just make sure to pack light and bring a foldable wagon to carry stuff to the campsite, since parking is not near some of the campsites. Other than that, it gives the feeling of being secluded in the forest.

Shelly's forest glamping spot was great! If felt remote, but was accessible with our Prius. The tent was clean and had plenty of warm blankets. Location is very close to Soquel mountain bike trails, and there's a market/deli only 5 minutes away. Would stay here again if in the area.
