Welcome to Coco, the 1970 Overlander 27’ Airstream! We have tried to preserve her 50-year-old charm as much as possible and are still in the process of restoring her to her original glory. Our family of 4 humans, two dogs, and one guinea pig lived in Coco while our house was being built. It was quite an adventure!
Coco is nestled in the foothills of the Sierras on our semi-private 4-acre property. Easy access to Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the Yuba River. Coco the Airstream is fully functional with a kitchen and bathroom. There is one full-ish size bed that sleeps two comfortably in the bedroom area, and the couch can fold into one twin-sized bed.
We are located about 15 minutes to town and 10 to the nearest grocery store. Coco the Airstream shares the property with a private family of four humans and two dogs in a house at the top of the hill. My parents are full time RVers and often stay in the other RV spot on our property throughout the year when they are taking a break from traveling. The two dogs are very friendly but may bark to greet you upon your arrival.

Love creek sanctuary was founded in 2016. It all started with Stu the steer and his best friend Petey the goat, from there we have rescued over 90 animals, 45 make their home here at the sanctuary. Our camping areas are fenced from the animals but you are free to explore our 12 acres and interact with the animals during your stay here. We ask that children under 10 stay outside the animal areas and children over 10 are accompanied by a grownup. We have plenty of art and child friendly activities, just ask and we can set you up. There are donkeys, roosters, dogs and peacocks that make noise, sometimes at night and always early in the morning. Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you!
In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly.
We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants.
We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca.
NOTE: Starting Memorial Day each year, we have replaced all of our wood fire pits with gas fire pits. We have increased our prices to help cover the costs of propane.

We are located about two hours from the Bay Area, just 45 minutes from Sacramento and only 45 minutes east on I-80 will bring you to world class skiing on Donner Summit and lots of other activities in the mountains. Colfax offers many restaurants, shops, stores and nearby Rollins Lake is great for boating, fishing, water skiing or swimming. The American River canyon offers kayaking, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking and fishing. In the surrounding countryside, one can find many small vineyards & wineries, an occasional brewery or roadside fruit stand. It can be both sunny and cool here since we are located in the foothills, above the fog and at snowline.
The Colfax Amtrak stop is only a 10 minute walk from the house, there's also a Greyhound line that stops in town.

We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy!
In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek.

The Space:
A 13 ft Bell tent is setup for you with one queen bed and one single bed inside (beds are made with sheets and comforters). The tent sits approximately 75 ft above the river with breathtaking views of the river and canyon. If you are coming with a group, there is over an acre of flat land which is perfect for any type of tent setup.
At the tent site you’ll have access to a table and chairs, lounge chairs, picnic table, gas BBQ, basketball hoop and balls, rock campfire, kayaks, and a porta potty. A short 3-minute walk away from the tent you’ll find the shore of the Bear River.
Guest access:
The tent site is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle there is parking for up to four vehicles at the house. The tent site is less than a quarter mile walk downhill from the house.
River access:
If you’d like to visit the river to hang out, swim, or fish you can follow the dirt road next to the tent down to the river (3-minute walk). The riverfront has lounge chairs, a picnic table, and kayak's. The riverbank has small pebbles and rocks so water shoes are highly suggested for comfort when going into the water (recommended but not needed).
Come and enjoy the views of the river, forest, and wildlife!
This is a private tent site with one other listing on the property which is located at the house. You may rarely see other guests during your stay.
Check out is at 12pm. If you or anyone in your party stays past 12:30pm you will be charged for an extra night for your full party.

We absolutely recommend trying to stay for two or more nights so that you can get accustomed to the space, learn the property, settle in, and relax.
Each yurt has a wood-fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm.
Each yurt has a kitchen that is fully equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots and pans, grill, etc.
Each yurt has a Queen bed with a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night.
Each yurt has its own dedicated wood-fired hot tub. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot.
Things you might like to bring: headlamps, robe, flip flops, slippers, hiking shoes.
Water: we are on a well and provide fresh drinking water in a container for you. It’s fine to drink, cook, and bathe with the water from the tap but it can have a minerally quality to it. We test the well annually.
We provide filtered water but if it runs out, the water out of the tap is safe and delicious.
The hot tub: it’s wood fired. This means you have to heat it with a fire to get it hot. This can take many hours to get to the right temperature. It’s a good idea to start a fire right when you get there! This tub may have leaves in it (they fall from above) and cloudy water. The water should NOT smell, the cloudiness is a part of the cedar tubs charm- ash from the fire and particulate from the cedar mix together. We treat it between guests with natural products that maintain the wood (you can’t use chlorine in these tubs). We clean it regularly. Shower before using it to wash off any oils please! The outdoor shower is lovely :)
Fireplace: We will leave you a bundle of wood that comes with the rental. If you need more wood you can purchase it from us or from the grocery store. We have lots of wood at the yurt and we ask you to pay $10 per bundle if you use more then we leave you inside. This is on the honor system- It takes a lot of time and resources to keep wood stocked for the property. If you don’t know how to start a fire you may want to bring an instant log with you. Please leave the lighter behind for the next guest.
Sleep: we have a heating blanket for cold nights, It’s about 10 degrees cooler on our land than in town. This is a real treat during our hot summers. There will be a fan for you as well during the warm season.
We live in the woods, there are bugs and wild animals on/or near the property. This is part of the country charm and should be expected. Please don't leave food outside.

Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, It is a 10 minute drive to the quaint, historical gold rush town of Nevada City, and about 20-30 minutes by bicycle along the the Tribute Trail into town. Nevada City has great restaurants, bars, music and theater, as well as shopping and art galleries.
Or take a walk along the trail and down to the bridge that crosses the Deer Creek to a loop trail with lovely creek views and wooded scenery, about 1.5 hours there and back to the campground. The gorgeous South Fork of the Yuba River is a 15 - 30 minute drive away, depending on which access you choose. Great hiking, biking and swimming opportunities abound in the surrounding Sierra Nevada Foothills. The Bowman Road is about 1 + hour's drive East on Hwy 20 to Lake Spaulding, the smaller Fuller and Rucker lakes and Bowman Lake, as well as the Grouse Ridge hiking area.

The neighborhood of this area is also one of the more safer bike friendlier places, you can ride into town along the NID trails, or set up camp and head up the 20HWY less than 20 mins to enjoy Epic Mountain Biking Trails.
Not only are we crafty, but also nature enthusiasts to feel free to reach out and ask about fun things to do here, if you are looking to stay busy exploring the nature. We also have a beautiful sunset hike that overlooks some beautiful views.
Oracle Oak Grove has a wide variety of camping options.
We have a camp grounds on the lower end of the property that currently hosts 4 different camp sites. the 3 May Pole zone, and 1 Faerie fields.
There is one shared Bonfire zone that can be used for friends camping together during the spring and late fall months when we are not in fire season.
We love hosting groups and birthday parties. Also individual campers as well.
We have two yurts available if you are more into the Glamping experience or especially if camping in the winter.
The Witches Hut and The Little Witch Hut!
The Witches Hut which is larger and can fit a family of 3 or 4.
This hut includes a patio, grill, and Private entrance.
The Little Witch Hut is smaller and more suitable for a couple or a single person wanting some solo retreat time. This one has cooking amenities accessible in an outdoor kitchen just outside the yurt. This one also gets better access to the Starlink available on the property. This yurt has the compost toilet outside and is a less than minute walk to it.
Both yurts have the ability to park fairly close to them and both are fully furnished. The Yurts are available for a higher expense than the camping of course.
We are sorry to say that Hot tub season is now closed.
We do have a wood-fired Cedar Hot tub, she is our Cauldron she is only available during winter and very early spring visits. I am sorry, but due to fire season and her being wood-fired she is not available outside hot tub season.
If you are interested in the experience it requires advanced noticed as well as an extra charge for wood, cleaning, and tending. She is a labor of love, and such a unique experience. Enjoy the smell of cedar, chlorine free waters under the stars.

PLEASE come check in before DARK. We are in a very Rural Area and it can be difficult to see a night where to park and camp. My parents are full time RVers and often stay in the other RV spot on our property throughout the year when they are taking a break from traveling. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you!
In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly.
We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants.
We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca.
NOTE: Starting Memorial Day each year, we have replaced all of our wood fire pits with gas fire pits. We have increased our prices to help cover the costs of propane.

The American River canyon offers kayaking, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking and fishing. In the surrounding countryside, one can find many small vineyards & wineries, an occasional brewery or roadside fruit stand. It can be both sunny and cool here since we are located in the foothills, above the fog and at snowline.
The Colfax Amtrak stop is only a 10 minute walk from the house, there's also a Greyhound line that stops in town.

The Space:
A 13 ft Bell tent is setup for you with one queen bed and one single bed inside (beds are made with sheets and comforters). The tent sits approximately 75 ft above the river with breathtaking views of the river and canyon. If you are coming with a group, there is over an acre of flat land which is perfect for any type of tent setup.
At the tent site you’ll have access to a table and chairs, lounge chairs, picnic table, gas BBQ, basketball hoop and balls, rock campfire, kayaks, and a porta potty. A short 3-minute walk away from the tent you’ll find the shore of the Bear River.
Guest access:
The tent site is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle there is parking for up to four vehicles at the house. The tent site is less than a quarter mile walk downhill from the house.
River access:
If you’d like to visit the river to hang out, swim, or fish you can follow the dirt road next to the tent down to the river (3-minute walk). The riverfront has lounge chairs, a picnic table, and kayak's. The riverbank has small pebbles and rocks so water shoes are highly suggested for comfort when going into the water (recommended but not needed).

This is a private tent site with one other listing on the property which is located at the house. You may rarely see other guests during your stay.

Each yurt has a wood-fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm.
Each yurt has a kitchen that is fully equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots and pans, grill, etc.
Each yurt has a Queen bed with a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night.
Each yurt has its own dedicated wood-fired hot tub. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot.
Things you might like to bring: headlamps, robe, flip flops, slippers, hiking shoes.
Water: we are on a well and provide fresh drinking water in a container for you. It’s fine to drink, cook, and bathe with the water from the tap but it can have a minerally quality to it. We test the well annually.
We provide filtered water but if it runs out, the water out of the tap is safe and delicious.
The hot tub: it’s wood fired. This means you have to heat it with a fire to get it hot. This can take many hours to get to the right temperature. It’s a good idea to start a fire right when you get there! This tub may have leaves in it (they fall from above) and cloudy water. The water should NOT smell, the cloudiness is a part of the cedar tubs charm- ash from the fire and particulate from the cedar mix together. We treat it between guests with natural products that maintain the wood (you can’t use chlorine in these tubs). We clean it regularly. Shower before using it to wash off any oils please! The outdoor shower is lovely :)
Fireplace: We will leave you a bundle of wood that comes with the rental. If you need more wood you can purchase it from us or from the grocery store. We have lots of wood at the yurt and we ask you to pay $10 per bundle if you use more then we leave you inside. This is on the honor system- It takes a lot of time and resources to keep wood stocked for the property. If you don’t know how to start a fire you may want to bring an instant log with you. Please leave the lighter behind for the next guest.
Sleep: we have a heating blanket for cold nights, It’s about 10 degrees cooler on our land than in town. This is a real treat during our hot summers. There will be a fan for you as well during the warm season.
We live in the woods, there are bugs and wild animals on/or near the property. This is part of the country charm and should be expected. Please don't leave food outside.

The neighborhood of this area is also one of the more safer bike friendlier places, you can ride into town along the NID trails, or set up camp and head up the 20HWY less than 20 mins to enjoy Epic Mountain Biking Trails.
Not only are we crafty, but also nature enthusiasts to feel free to reach out and ask about fun things to do here, if you are looking to stay busy exploring the nature. We also have a beautiful sunset hike that overlooks some beautiful views.
Oracle Oak Grove has a wide variety of camping options.
We have a camp grounds on the lower end of the property that currently hosts 4 different camp sites. the 3 May Pole zone, and 1 Faerie fields.
There is one shared Bonfire zone that can be used for friends camping together during the spring and late fall months when we are not in fire season.
We love hosting groups and birthday parties. Also individual campers as well.
We have two yurts available if you are more into the Glamping experience or especially if camping in the winter.
The Witches Hut and The Little Witch Hut!
The Witches Hut which is larger and can fit a family of 3 or 4.
This hut includes a patio, grill, and Private entrance.
The Little Witch Hut is smaller and more suitable for a couple or a single person wanting some solo retreat time. This one has cooking amenities accessible in an outdoor kitchen just outside the yurt. This one also gets better access to the Starlink available on the property. This yurt has the compost toilet outside and is a less than minute walk to it.
Both yurts have the ability to park fairly close to them and both are fully furnished. The Yurts are available for a higher expense than the camping of course.
We are sorry to say that Hot tub season is now closed.
We do have a wood-fired Cedar Hot tub, she is our Cauldron she is only available during winter and very early spring visits. I am sorry, but due to fire season and her being wood-fired she is not available outside hot tub season.
If you are interested in the experience it requires advanced noticed as well as an extra charge for wood, cleaning, and tending. She is a labor of love, and such a unique experience. Enjoy the smell of cedar, chlorine free waters under the stars.

Our amenities include an indoor restroom area where you will also find water shoes, natural bug sprays, sunscreen and a large sink for washing dishes. Hot tub, seasonal pool (May-Oct) area w/ seating and a Ninja electric pellet BBQ. Gazebo covered decks, two propane firepits (wood burning fires not permitted). Bluetooth speakers, solar lighting all around property, cornhole, kiddy play area, several coolers for drinks and food. Sand beach equipped with toys, seasonal paddle boards, water floats, kayaks. Additional conveniences include a new “Welcome Shed” supplied with all your camp cooking needs as well as cold/hot water dispenser, Keureg with coffee pods/creamer, hot cocoa, cold drinks and games. **Adjacent to bell tent; outdoor dry flush toilet, outdoor hot shower w/ Celtic Rose Apothecary soups and body cream. For those guests camping with furry companions we offer doggie life jackets in various sizes, treats, water toys, towels and doggie bath area with organic oatmeal soothing shampoo.
Please note that while we strive to maintain your privacy, the property owners and their furry companions reside on-site and may occasionally be visible to guests. Therefore, we cannot accommodate campers with reactive or aggressive dogs. We also suggest only booking if your dog(s) have a good recall. Our furry friends are friendly to all, but we prioritize safety and cannot permit any aggression issues from reactive dogs.
Keep in mind when booking, we ask you to show respect for the environment and our property. We do not allow large groups or parties of any kind on our site unless prearranged with owner.

Weekend Trip to Pleasant Valley Creekside Ranch LLC
You could show up just about empty handed and still have almost everything you need! The tent set up was extremely clean, and stocked with what you need. Lots of seating options to choose from. I also really appreciated that there is a propane fire pit available for use that was surrounded by a bug net - I didn’t use it on this trip but I booked my next trip knowing my bug adverse friend will really appreciate this spot to spend the evening!
And then of course there’s the beauty of the nature. The creek, which you can paddle up to a little rock damn with flowing water. It’s very peaceful.

The spring green was so beautiful and refreshing. There was no one there and the Blue Oak rv site was perfectly quiet and surrounded by trees and small wildflowers. The location is terrific to access Nevada City and a good deal of trails. Our only issue was the bathhouse was not fully operational, with minimal water pressure and then no water at all. We reported the toilet water tank not filling our first morning there, but it didn’t get fixed during our stay. I am certain they will repair it.

This was a fun spot and the kids loved all the activities, including kayaking and the trampoline! All gear was new and high end, you can tell Tanya is caring a lot about her spot. The creek was great, very slow in front of the site so there was no dangers for my kids (13 and 7 yo) to play in the water. The tents were super cute and cosy, and the fact we had the whole site to ourselves was also a great bonus!

It was wonderful waking up to the green fields. The animals were fun to see too. :) However it is true, it is a farm and the animals are pretty noisy especially the peacocks but they will quiet down eventually. instructions and directions were super clear! Everything was so neat and they supplied lots of furniture to sit on and eat. There may be other campers there in trailers which we did not realize since we arrived at night and couldnt see anything so we were super loud and noisy haha.

Weekend Trip to Private River Oasis
This is easily the best glamping experience I’ve had. The proximity to the White River is unbeatable. Having direct swimming access and those stunning views right from the deck was amazing.
The cabin itself was sparkling clean, spacious, and packed with great amenities like a full kitchen, TV, and a perfect barbecue setup for dinner.
The owner was fantastic—super communicative and available on-site for anything we needed while still giving us plenty of privacy. An absolute 10/10 stay.

We loved the stargazer lookout it was so spacious and there was a heater to keep warm. The property was beautiful and it felt like we were alone out there. The outdoor shower at the sauna is so nice and warm and a great vibe. We can’t wait to come back one night wasn’t enough. We jumped in the river by Bridgeport and went for a little hike that was only a 15min drive from the yurt. Love it!!

What a magical place! My wife and I booked this LAST SECOND for Valentine's. Anna communicated immediately with me and helped facilitate our VERY last second stay. She made sure we understood what to expect and answered all of my questions nearly immediately. The yurt is on the property in close vicinity to the main house but it appears Anna stays in the tiny house next to it out of site from the yurt area, which provided us with a great sense of privacy and it's obvious she respects that, which we greatly appreciated! We brought our long haired daschund with us and she had the time of her life exploring the area, and never barked, for once! The bed was very comfortable! Bring your own bedding though, it's made up to be slept on top of. She provides extra clean blankets which was nice. The silence of the area mixed with the unbelievable stargazing made for a perfect getaway. We paid for the fire pit option and when the propane had ran out even though she was off property at the time she immediately helped out with our options! Thank you for that!
I would absolutely recommend this place as a very fairly priced and awesome stay. Anna's prompt communication and help was most appreciated!

1 night at Rollins Lake Retreats Decorated 🎄
What a treat this retreat is. While you are under the host family, they are not like those upstairs neighbors that you despise. I heard them, but it didn’t disrupt my peace and presence. I enjoyed the 420 friendly atmosphere outside on the lovely deck. The sunset was ridiculous and a whole family of deer walked by. I was able to cook a full breakfast getting creature with the stove. The host even helped me when using a hairdryer with the fireplace tripped a breaker. It waste too, and they responded quickly. Also got to check out late with an additional cost while I was theee. I truly loved it here. Will def come back. Once I checked in, I didn’t leave until check out.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the dome glamping site at Rollins Lake in Colfax. From the start, our host Erin was fantastic. Communication was prompt and friendly, and the directions were incredibly clear, making arrival stress free. The amenities exceeded our expectations, and everything was thoughtfully provided, from snacks to all the little details that made the stay feel special.
The dome itself was spotless and beautifully set up. The bathroom was great, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the views were truly incredible. Waking up surrounded by nature was unforgettable. We loved how close it was to the lake, with an easy and scenic hike down for a relaxing walk and time by the water.
This stay was the perfect mix of comfort and outdoor adventure. We are already planning our next trip back and cannot recommend this place enough. A truly special experience from start to finish.

We had a wonderful stay at Sierra Waters Homestead. The trail just off the property was beautiful and perfect for an afternoon walk/hike. The bathrooms and cooking area were a plus and made our camping stay more like glamping! Would definitely stay again.
