The campsite itself was in a cute little grove of trees and flat, the proximity to Nevada city was nice, and felt safe to leave our camp supplied in the day. However the site was located on a big property with lots of other dwellings nearby and lots of parked cars/trucks/rvs everywhere. The presence of people, objects, barking dogs, made it not feel that serene and removed. I would recommend if you are just sleeping and not spending time at the campsite. The compost toilet lacked a mulch bucket/scooper, and though there was toilet paper, when I told the host the trash was overflowing, she said the toilet paper/trash was for longterm tenants and that we it was pack in/pack out -which we knew and had prepared for, but didn’t realize that extended to toilet paper. This felt really strange given that amenity was one of the reasons we chose the site. Also, the host told us, two women, we’d be the only ones at the campsite all weekend and at 11pm on Saturday (when we were already asleep) a new camper arrived and set up his tent right next to us. A heads up would have been thoughtful.
