We have large area cleared for RVs, trailers, tents or camper van dispersed camping sites. The ranch has ten 30 amp power sites with lots of room to turn around and most you can drive right through without having to back up.
Views of mountains in every direction with lots of wild birds in the area. We have horses, cows, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats at the ranch. The small working ranch is in the Rocky mountain trench with the Rocky Mountains to the east the Caribou range to the east and the Monashee Mountains to the south.

Nearby activities include hiking, biking( bike rentals available in town), climbing, fishing, paddling.
The site is 20 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake trailhead) and just over an hour to Jasper National Park. Valemount townsite is 15 minutes away and is home to a renowned mountain bike park, and excellent restaurants such as the Glacier fire Pizza.
Please take the time to read any posted signs regarding rules of the ranch, speed limits, etc, and do not leave a trace. Please bring your garbage, tissues and cans with you. There is a local transfer station just 10 minutes south of us outside the village of Valemount. Please respect our home.

Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about. Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. These include but are not limited to; Wild life (bears, bob cats, cougars etc), Fire is a serious threat to this region during summer months strict no smoking policy is in effect. Care should be taken walking around uneven surfaces. All campers are required to stay within camp boundaries fail to follow these protocols will result in being asked to leave.

Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. There are many guides available for activities in the area including (water sports, climbing, skiing, hiking, artist tours, events, geology, mining, mushrooms, cannabis, garden tours and native history). You don't need one to get here, but its good to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for some of the logging roads that are worth visiting. Roof and/or bike racks can also come in handy. Staying with us you accept the following:
Our ranch is on Gun Creek Road, close to Tyax Lake, 30 minutes from Gold Bridge and Bralorne. It is about 2 hours west of Lillooet or north of Pemberton (6 hours from Vancouver) on a remote road with paved and gravel sections and no cell service.
There is no cell service or TV at our location. Wi‑Fi is usually available but cannot be guaranteed due to weather and other natural factors outside our control. We have access to a landline if urgent calls need to be made.
You are responsible for leaving the cabin/your room and the area around it clean and free of food and garbage. Each guest is responsible for cleaning the cabins when they leave, such as doing the laundry, washing all dishes. At the end of your stay, please bring all garbage to the main house so we do not attract critters and bears.
We live in a true wilderness environment. The cabin water system uses filtered creek water and, though not common, there is always the possibility for water pressure to fluctuate.
Weather and other variables can change quickly in the mountains. We expect guests to approach challenges with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset and to be respectful of nature, other guests and our team. We are experienced in dealing with nature’s challenges and will find a solution together.

In addition to the RV stay, we also host Wild Edible Plant Walks, garden tours, and seasonal herbal workshops on the property and around the Comox Valley. These are separate bookable experiences that Hipcamp guests are welcome to join if dates align with their stay. We stayed in the Maple Cabin, nestled beneath a beautiful, large maple tree that provided the perfect amount of shade from the summer sun. The cabin sits right across from Susan’s gorgeous garden, filled with an assortment of plants, flowers, and greenery. Susan was even kind enough to share some freshly picked potatoes with us!
The beach is less than a five-minute drive away, where we enjoyed peaceful walks along the shore and the refreshing ocean breeze.
The entire property was incredibly peaceful and quiet—the perfect place to slow down and unwind. At night, we were treated to a sky covered in a blanket of stars, which made the experience even more magical.
Susan and tony were wonderful host, and we truly enjoyed our stay. 10/10 would recommend the Maple Cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!

Jamie’s farm was a perfect base camp for exploring the area. Comfortable, relaxing and private. Our dogs wore themselves out swimming in the pond, and my son loved looking for cool insects and slugs at the water’s edge. We hope to come back someday!

My husband and I (and our energetic 1 year old pup) spent 3 peaceful nights at Johanna’s cabin. We ignored all previous recommendations on packing light and naively thought we could pack it all up with our small wagon. We heaved a couple totes and full backpacks up the narrow trail in the heat of the day…and collapsed at the cabin door with exhaustion. Don’t be like us! You don’t need a lot to enjoy this place, there’s a cabinet full of games and books and wonderful trails to explore. Our dog loved the freedom racing up and down the path chasing his beloved ball, in fact he’s still tired from all the fresh air and exercise! It was exactly what we needed, when we needed it.
Johanna was a great host and checked in often, making sure we had everything we needed.
We are already thinking about our next visit!

We had a lovely time. The site was beautiful with pond views and a sheltered spot for the tent to keep us cool. We really enjoyed the chickens and fresh eggs. Very clear directions and was easy to find. Jamie was a great host.

We really enjoyed our three-night stay at this beautiful, remote and peaceful ranch.
Privacy is king.
Even though we had some pretty noisy neighbors, the campsite itself felt spacious and private, which was a huge plus compared with most campgrounds we’ve stayed at.
Clean and well-thought-out facilities.
There’s a clean bathroom with a hot shower and plenty of supplies, and laundry is also available.
An amazing host.
We absolutely loved being welcomed by Angela. She introduced us to all her lovely pets and even treated us to fresh eggs from her chickens at a very reasonable price.
The only thing to keep in mind is the road nearby. Without it, the place would feel completely wild and remote. There were only a few cars passing by, though, and they didn’t bother us much.
The easy access by car to a campsite and surprisingly good cell reception made our stay even more comfortable.
And for sauna lovers, this place is a little paradise! For just some extra payment, you can enjoy a wood-fired sauna for 2–4 people right on the bank of a mountain creek. After warming up in the sauna, you can jump straight into the freezing, crystal-clear water. Absolutely unforgettable!

Lovely people, lovely ranch, lovely location. Quiet, beautiful, and relaxing. The animals make the ranch so lively. Lots of space to pitch tent, with access to drinking water, shower, and a pit toilet. Loved chatting and learning from the hosts, they're clearly passionate and hardworking at what they do. Hope to come again soon here for a longer stay :)

We booked Kens site last minute and we were able to be accommodated quickly as we realized that our site was for a tent but we were car camping. We were greeted by Ken and his lovely dog named Charlie when we arrived. Charlie stuck by us and kept us company while we camped in Kens pasture and even had Charlie show us the way to the river. Unfortunately the bugs were bad so we didn't stay long there. The views were awesome from the pasture and we would recommend anyone to stay there if they are staying in Salmon Arm.
