ONLY 9km from Golden! We left the city to be closer to nature and like minded folks who help us be our best every day! We found it in Golden, BC. Our three rentals are part of the Moonraker Mountain trail system. With over 100 km of biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and ski trails, you can enjoy amazing Canyon Creek views or swimming in warm spring fed lakes. Just step outside your door! The only problem is it can be difficult to pull yourself away from the simple stillness and connection you feel while just sitting at the treehouse or off grid cabins. Perfect for solo adventurers or a couple friends who pack-in/pack-out drinking water/linens/garbage. -amazing views -screened in porch AND open top deck -indoor & outdoor cooking (PROPANE PROVIDED) -100km+ Moonraker Trail System; forest, lake, canyons, wildlife, starlight -4 season, 2 people (3 in a pinch) -BIKE, HIKE, snowshoe, and ski from your door. - Cell reception is ok for calls but spotty for streaming. A Beautiful Stay. Highly Recommend!

We had such a lovely stay! Claire was very responsive. All of the directions to manage the treehouse were clearly outlined and the treehouse looked exactly like the photos! We came during the winter time and there was an abundant amount of wood to keep the tent warm! Overall, we had a beautiful stay with everything we needed.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. Claire provided clear, thoughtful, and detailed instructions and information every step of the way, from our questions prior to booking, to the instruction booklets on site that ensured a stress free stay. The property itself was very easy to find and navigate, and the treehouse was absolutely magical. You can feel the love and care that the hosts have put into the property in every detail, and we felt as though they covered every aspect of comfort we could possibly ask for, providing plenty of wood, blankets, and simple, but much appriciated amentities. The treehouse is also within comfortable walking distance from the parking area but is still private, which allows for the most breathtaking and scerene viewing of the mountains and birds in the area. I can't say that I have ever stayed somewhere that has compared to this, and would easily choose this experience over any luxury hotel, even considering our snowy morning. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night, and would definitely recommend booking two or more nights so you can take advantage of the hiking trails and appreciate it too it's full extent!!

10/10 would recommend. Claire was great to communicate with and is clearly an experienced host based on the clarity of instructions and the little details included in the cabin to make the experience as smooth as possible. Amazing views from the roof, private space, and less than 10 minutes to Golden.

If you are looking for an amazing out of the ordinary and enjoy stargazing experience, this is the place to be, plus having Claire as your host is an A++. We got everything that we needed to spend a night at Eagle's nest, enjoyed board games, the view and the quiet of the nature. Simply outstanding!

Claire and Matt Eagle’s Nest was the perfect spot for us to rest on our way to the rockies for a backpacking trip! The cabin was tidy and well equipped, as well as being close to Goldens town centre. My favourite part was going to sleep and waking up to the mountain views and alpenglow! Thank you so much for hosting us!

Eagle's Nest Off-grid Cabin
We walked by all three of Claire’s sites and they all looked great. We stayed at the eagle’s nest which has a small deck above the patio which provides a beautiful view East over the valley. We were able to walk up to the canyon ridge trail directly from our cabin (even though our prairie navigation skills were freaking out!) and get a bit of a hike in before the rain started in harder. The trails are maintained by the local bike club, so that’s an added bonus. As a side note, however, be prepared for mosquitoes (absolutely ferocious!). We loved the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended!

The cabin is really pretty, with all the amenities you can think of, that too in the middle of woods, well planned lighting among the trail, you can go on cabin’s roof to enjoy the mountains view. It’s one the best cabins I have ever stayed at. 200% recommended!!!

Claire and Matt have created a beautiful, magical space, with thoughtful attention to every detail. Nestled beneath a canopy of fir trees, it overlooks the Columbia Valley and stretches out toward the distant mountains. The night sky is spectacular. The cabin is adjacent to an incredible trail system, perfect for hiking or biking—I rode to Cedar Lake the next day. From the moment you park your car, everything has been carefully planned: a wagon to haul your gear, fire starter in the stove, bear-proof buckets on the clothesline, and padded Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. The real magic for me came at 1:30 a.m., when a full moon reached down through the trees. It even inspired a poem, which you’ll find in the guest book. Enjoy this special place—I hope to return in winter.

My sister and I loved Fir and Feather tree house tent. We would definitely do it again. All the instructions were clear and precise. It was clean and ready to go for us! Claire even had a surprise for my sister as it was her birthday. The view and quietness of tree house was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better night away!!!

We absolutely loved our time at the Treehouse. We were so excited it was available during our stay and we couldn’t pass it up! It’s even cooler than in the photos. Claire is such a wonderful host - very responsive and takes the time to make sure your stay is as special as can be! If this spot is open during your trip to BC, don’t pass it up!!

When me and my friend first saw this listing, we couldn’t get it out of our minds, and it was just as exciting to walk up to for the first time in person! I couldn’t recommend coming in autumn enough, as the golden trees were truly stunning from our viewpoint, they really gave Golden its name! It is a gorgeous peaceful nest they have built, where you are totally provided for from the cosy bed & blankets, to the instructions for everything, to the bear bins & fence. If you have to walk the short path from the car to the treehouse after dark be sure you have torches on you! But otherwise we remained warm, and safe, and I wish I’d had a whole day just there to enjoy the peace of it all! I loved the birdsong, and the freight trains, distant coyotes at night. We were even lucky enough to catch the northern lights. I won’t forget it and would love to come again !

Absolutely beautiful cabin with everything we could’ve possibly needed. The perfect location to enjoy all of the nearby national parks for wayyy cheaper than a hotel stay in Banff.

We LOVED our stay at the tree house! The views were magical and also was the rain at night. Claire and Matt made sure everything was alright! The nice crackling fire kept us warm the whole stay! Defenitely will return one day for maybe a longer stay. It was an awesome way to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. Thanks again!

Absolutely amazing! This was an unforgettable experience that will remain in our memories for a long, long time. The place is simply perfect. Cozy little place, perfectly equipped with every single thing you may ever need when staying in the woods (and more!). Not only the location and the views are astounding, but Claire and Mark have put a lot of thought into every little detail on how to enhance their guests’ experience. If you are looking for a little adventure, and to experience the best possible glamping experience (never done glamping before but cannot imagine any better definition), this is your place! Our stay with Matt and Claire was great! There were no details big or small missed in order to make our stay was pleasant, and Claire’s description of the property was 100% accurate! This is a great location to disconnect and unwind in a world of outdoor adventure, both me and my partner both agree that we would return with no hesitation!
