Our three rentals are part of the Moonraker Mountain trail system. With over 100 km of biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and ski trails, you can enjoy amazing Canyon Creek views or swimming in warm spring fed lakes. Just step outside your door! The only problem is it can be difficult to pull yourself away from the simple stillness and connection you feel while just sitting at the treehouse or off grid cabins. It was an unforgettable weekend. If you're tired of the noisy city, if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle and listen to the birds sing, you definitely need to visit this place. We just left, and we already want to go back. Everything was so thought out down to the last detail that it felt like we were in a fairytale house. We'll definitely come back again.

We stayed at the Tree House at Fir & Feather in Golden, BC for one night and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. It was the perfect getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the beauty of nature surrounding us and the peaceful atmosphere throughout our stay. Clair was an incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming host. Every little detail was taken care of perfectly — the cozy bedding, clean utensils, stove, plenty of wood logs to keep us warm through the night, and the outdoor heater all made the experience extra comfortable. Clair’s thoughtful bonus treat for our celebration was such a special gesture that truly made our stay memorable. Fir & Feather is the perfect escape from chaotic city life — a place to truly relax, recharge, and reconnect your body, mind, and soul with nature. Everything about our stay was peaceful, cozy, and unforgettable. Thank you again, Clair, for such an amazing experience. We will definitely plan another visit soon and would recommend this escape stay 100%!

Lovely isolated place, yet not too far from the town of Golden. Has most of what we need, and the instructions were super helpful. My wife and I enjoyed our stay so much and would definitely go again.

Me and a friend stayed in the fox hollow cabin and had an awesome experience! We had troubles getting up and even though Claire and Matt were out of town, they got a hold of their lovely neighbours who gave us a tremendously generous hand! Besides that the view from the front porch is gorgeous and the hut itself is so well kept and has absolutely everything you could need. Even despite the chilly weather we had a great experience.

We had such a lovely stay! Claire was very responsive. All of the directions to manage the treehouse were clearly outlined and the treehouse looked exactly like the photos! We came during the winter time and there was an abundant amount of wood to keep the tent warm! Overall, we had a beautiful stay with everything we needed.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. Claire provided clear, thoughtful, and detailed instructions and information every step of the way, from our questions prior to booking, to the instruction booklets on site that ensured a stress free stay. The property itself was very easy to find and navigate, and the treehouse was absolutely magical. You can feel the love and care that the hosts have put into the property in every detail, and we felt as though they covered every aspect of comfort we could possibly ask for, providing plenty of wood, blankets, and simple, but much appriciated amentities. The treehouse is also within comfortable walking distance from the parking area but is still private, which allows for the most breathtaking and scerene viewing of the mountains and birds in the area. I can't say that I have ever stayed somewhere that has compared to this, and would easily choose this experience over any luxury hotel, even considering our snowy morning. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night, and would definitely recommend booking two or more nights so you can take advantage of the hiking trails and appreciate it too it's full extent!!

Claire was great to communicate with and is clearly an experienced host based on the clarity of instructions and the little details included in the cabin to make the experience as smooth as possible. Amazing views from the roof, private space, and less than 10 minutes to Golden.

We got everything that we needed to spend a night at Eagle's nest, enjoyed board games, the view and the quiet of the nature. Simply outstanding!

Eagle's Nest Off-grid Cabin
We walked by all three of Claire’s sites and they all looked great. We stayed at the eagle’s nest which has a small deck above the patio which provides a beautiful view East over the valley. We were able to walk up to the canyon ridge trail directly from our cabin (even though our prairie navigation skills were freaking out!) and get a bit of a hike in before the rain started in harder. The trails are maintained by the local bike club, so that’s an added bonus. As a side note, however, be prepared for mosquitoes (absolutely ferocious!). We loved the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended!

The cabin is really pretty, with all the amenities you can think of, that too in the middle of woods, well planned lighting among the trail, you can go on cabin’s roof to enjoy the mountains view. It’s one the best cabins I have ever stayed at. 200% recommended!!!

Claire and Matt have created a beautiful, magical space, with thoughtful attention to every detail. Nestled beneath a canopy of fir trees, it overlooks the Columbia Valley and stretches out toward the distant mountains. The night sky is spectacular. The cabin is adjacent to an incredible trail system, perfect for hiking or biking—I rode to Cedar Lake the next day. From the moment you park your car, everything has been carefully planned: a wagon to haul your gear, fire starter in the stove, bear-proof buckets on the clothesline, and padded Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. The real magic for me came at 1:30 a.m., when a full moon reached down through the trees. It even inspired a poem, which you’ll find in the guest book. Enjoy this special place—I hope to return in winter.

My sister and I loved Fir and Feather tree house tent. We would definitely do it again. All the instructions were clear and precise. It was clean and ready to go for us! Claire even had a surprise for my sister as it was her birthday. The view and quietness of tree house was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better night away!!!

We absolutely loved our time at the Treehouse. We were so excited it was available during our stay and we couldn’t pass it up! It’s even cooler than in the photos. Claire is such a wonderful host - very responsive and takes the time to make sure your stay is as special as can be! If this spot is open during your trip to BC, don’t pass it up!!

Completely magical!

When me and my friend first saw this listing, we couldn’t get it out of our minds, and it was just as exciting to walk up to for the first time in person! I couldn’t recommend coming in autumn enough, as the golden trees were truly stunning from our viewpoint, they really gave Golden its name! It is a gorgeous peaceful nest they have built, where you are totally provided for from the cosy bed & blankets, to the instructions for everything, to the bear bins & fence. If you have to walk the short path from the car to the treehouse after dark be sure you have torches on you! But otherwise we remained warm, and safe, and I wish I’d had a whole day just there to enjoy the peace of it all! I loved the birdsong, and the freight trains, distant coyotes at night. We were even lucky enough to catch the northern lights. I won’t forget it and would love to come again !
