The location and surroundings were excellent, however we booked thinking that we would have access to water at our plot. When we arrived the lady in charge said she was turning the water on for us, however it never happened and we didn’t have water for coming up to 24 hours. The toilets didn’t have water either, only hot showers and taps which came out scolding and there was an issue with flushing too. When we asked about this we were told that the campground didn’t officially open until May, hence why our plot wasn’t supplied. A little strange if you ask me.
Generally though the site was lovely. Everything was spotless and easy to use, and the man who was cleaning obviously took great care over making sure people felt looked after.

Fantastic view from site 21! Staff was helpful and friendly. Tent sites could use some leveling or sand for a flat spot. Bathroom and laundry facilities were excellent.

We we a little disappointed as there had be a storm the day before and the tents were not in the best shape, we did get a refund without issue, there were also tons of mosquitoes.

We booked an RV 2weeks before the trip, paid etc and 1 day before our trip they said they did cannot find any RV reservation under my name but they can see my other 2 reservations the Homestead and walk in sites. How did that happen? Where I called couple times before and nobody told me about not seeing my RV reservation. They manage to find us an RV but it’s old and smells moldy inside & it sleeps 3 instead of sleeps 5. Next time when you book, call them to make sure they got your reservation!

Beautiful open land. The views were gorgeous. Mosquitos go away after it hits a certain temp. Washrooms were a bit crowded in the morning.

Unresponsive hosts. Unclear instructions on campsite location. Lack of bathroom amenities and cleanliness. Lack of promised amenities in inflatable tents. Super loud neighbors until very late hours. Stolen campsites. Stolen personal belongings. A creepy man trying to claim we stole his sight at 1am from outside the tent - which he had been inside before se got there and was ready to claim all my personal belongings as his own. DO NOT stay here. It was the worst campground experience I’ve ever had.

I booked a stay at Riverfront Campground through Hipcamp, expecting a serene getaway with my two kids. Upon arrival, we were shocked to learn that there was no record of our booking. The staff’s handling of the situation was far from helpful, showing a lack of empathy and urgency as they repeatedly told us there was no space and they needed to assist others.
The ordeal resulted in a needless 3-hour drive back to Calgary, with my children crying and upset. This not only ruined our planned retreat but also showed a significant gap in service from both the campground and Hipcamp, which has yet to respond to my concerns. I hope this review helps others to double-check their bookings and manage expectations before arriving.

The campground was quiet and clean. Mosquitoes were terrible (as was the case for the entire Golden region this year). Very happy we rented the RV and didn't camp in a tent because we ended up spending most of our time inside, away from the mosquitoes, when at camp. RV was about 5 years old and in decent shape. We had two main issues - first, the main bed "mattress" was basically a piece of worn, two-inch foam that did nothing to cushion against the plywood base. I took cushions from the dinette and placed them under the bed "mattress" to keep from laying directly on the plywood. I would recommend bringing a small (4 inch high) airbed for comfort. Our second issues was the leaking propane tank outside. At first, we thought the stink outside was from sewer gasses related to the connected waste drain pipes. When we ran out of propane and I had to go outside to switch tanks, that is when I heard the unmistakable sound of leaking gas. We turned off the gas at the tank. The electric water heater did not work, so that left us without hot water in the RV. A great alternative to the higher prices in Golden, plus they allow pets. Just needs a little TLC to make it better.

Beautiful site, but outhouses were on the dirtier side and SWARMS of mosquitos. We got upgraded to a cabin due to weather issues for free which was nice, but cabin was also very dirty and glad we didn’t pay the higher price point for it.

My first time camping with an RV was made incredibly easy thanks to Riverfront Camping! The site was clean and well-maintained, with a cozy fire pit and excellent accommodations that made us feel right at home. I highly recommend opting for the electric hookup and water—it made the whole experience even more comfortable. If you're new to RV camping or just looking for a hassle-free getaway, Riverfront Camping is the perfect spot!

The resort has nice open space but RV sites are cramped together with no privacy and there are about 60 of them - mostly seasonal. The place is overun with dogs as everyone seems to have 2 per site. No one in their right mind would venture to the pond as its a mosquito breeding spot. The washblock was fine and check in was OK.

Favourite site in Canada! Amazing staff and great amenities! Beautiful location with a gorgeous doggy that will sneak into the wash house if you let him. Definitely worth the stay!

We were four adults. Although the layout was one queen bed and three narrow bunks (intended for kids) we found two of the adults were fine in the bunks.
It was very clean and comfortable. Lots of water for showers and washing.
What would have been helpful to know in advance is that we didn’t have to rush to checkin by 7:00 pm. A late self checkin was easy since our site number and the campground map was posted on the office door.

The RV campsite provided everything we needed.
Showers and laundry. ( maybe a tip at the reception to mension you need exact 3 dollars for the washing machine )
There were a lot of musquitos !!!!!! We couldn't do anything outside . Anyway ,the place had a nice playground and nice view .

Plenty of space and quiet site despite being very busy. My only warning is bring bug spray, pants and long sleeves!! Mosquitos galore.
Good spot if you are exploring Yoho or banff as we did (about an hour drive) without being in the busy campgrounds around banff.

This was an amazing campground that has an amazing view of the mountains. The price is faire the rv trailer we rented was nice and clean but did have a few issues with it. First the door could not be closed, the fan for the cooktop could not be turned on. And the thermostat was mission the front part so no heating or cooling. I brought these issues up with the head office and they told me they where aware. And are trying to fix these issues. Not being able to close the door to my trailer is a big no no for me. The stay away from the trailer or ask before if the issues with it has been resolved. Camping in bear country and having a door that does not close is a big issue. The yurts and small cabins look nice and well put together. The have a wash house aswell as an activity center. The area is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and responsive. I would definitely like to go here again one day

The hosts were wonderful, the shower house was really great, and the views were lovely. Unfortunately we didn't get in until dark, and were in a site in the trees, so there were swarms of mosquitos while we were setting up. That was awful, but not the fault of the host.
