Outbound Retreat is our beloved farm in Buxton. Nestled under the foothills of Cathedral Ranges State Park and only 1.5 hours drive from North East of Melbourne. It is designed for families to getaway together and spend some quality time outdoors. Bring your tent and camping gear to enjoy 2.6 acres of private farm with its own lake and jetty with your family and friends. The beautiful township of Marysville is only 10 mins. drive away for added convenience and enjoyment. An array of activities to keep your families entertained like Fishing, Mountain biking, Nature walks, Shopping and Eateries just to name a few or you can just choose to relax by the lake or read a book in a hammock. Did we mention how nice the stars and milky way is at night?!, make sure you stay up a little bit, turn off all the lights and look up and be mesmerised by the beauty of our majestic galaxy.Outbound Retreat is our beloved farm in Buxton. Fantastic experience! The campsite is conveniently accessible with excellent inclusion of facilities. Darion is an enthusiastic adventurer with a wealth of knowledge about camping. We will definitely come back!

Camping in Buxton
The campsite is very subtle, and rest assured you’ll feel secured once you arrive. During the day you will occasionally here a car pass by, but at night time it’s a beautiful serene retreat. We were super lucky we had clear skies the night we stayed, the sky was full of stars. The site and facilities are as advertised, provided are well maintained. This goes to show the host, Darion, is not just welcoming, but also genuine. Would be looking to visit again in the later future

Had a wonderful stay at Buxton. Beautiful lake and well maintained grounds. Darion was a delightful host. We were right in town with many activities to keep us entertained. The highway noise took a little getting used to so perhaps look for something more remote if you are after tranquility.

A great place to stay. Lots of space and very peaceful. Closer to the road than some places I've stayed but I didn't hear any traffic. The kitchen facilities were superb, and fridge was super useful. Darion was also really friendly, responsive and provided good information beforehand. We would definitely stay again!

Peaceful camping at the farm
We had a great time at Darion’s farm and enjoyed an inspiring conversation with him too. There was an outdoor kitchen with water and a big fridge. Spacious sites and quiet surroundings. Nearby many places with different activities from fishing, hiking to mountain biking. We drove around to sightsee and it was beautiful :)
