Farm to Sea Camp

Great location, close to Bells, Jan Juc and Torquay. We stayed over the easter break and it was super busy. Possibly a few too many campers as it is a park up where you like system, although everyone was pretty respectful and once the hoards left it was really peaceful. You can purchase fresh vegetables and eggs from the garden at the gate.

Not the friendliest of goodbyes!

We had some difficulty finding the camping area (partly our fault for not messaging Alannah until 5 minutes before our arrival) and called a few times but there was no answer. Alannah did reply on Hipcamp 30 minutes later with some directions. In the morning a man in a white Jeep drove past us, he didn’t stop to say hello, ask how are night was or any kind of interaction. The car then slowly drove around the field. This made us feel very intimidated and unwelcome even though we had paid to camp the night. It felt like he was waiting for us to leave - we were the only ones in the field. When we did leave the car was waiting near the exit. As we approached he started shouting as we were driving slightly over the 10k speed limit. To be honest he made us feel quite uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially as we were leaving well in advance of the check out time. The site is fine and is a good place to stop, sleep and then leave!

We had a great time at Farm to Sea. We stayed for 7 nights and that included Easter. It is a fantastic location, as it is close to Torquay and Bells Beach and allowed us to do the great ocean road in a day. Loved the big spacious area. It was nice to see the kangaroos just grazing and the horses and goats and my fave the big fluffy llama. We don't have kids but the playground and bikes are a lovely extra. Portaloos were clean. We loved the view as well and being able to use our fire pit. If we were in victoria and this area we would certainly stay again

Love this farm stay! Great spot, lovely views looking out across the rolling hills. Feels like you are miles away from the bustle but only 5 mins from Jan Juc. This is our 3rd stay and can’t wait to come back again. Thanks Alannah!

Was a lovely campsite with beautiful views. I felt it was a little expensive and felt that the admonishing message about campfires was a little rich given the amount being paid by all the campers, especially when we had a fire in the designated communal fire area. Other than it was a positive experience.

Disappointing Experience

We were really disappointed with this stay, especially given it’s the most we’ve ever paid for a campsite. The kitchen facilities were extremely basic, and the surrounding furniture was dusty and unclean, which felt neglected rather than “rustic.” The toilet setup consisted of three portable toilets that were also very basic and on the older, dirtier side. At one point, it genuinely felt like we might need a tetanus shot after using the facilities — “rustic” shouldn’t mean rusting and dirty. We were also told there was a complete fire ban, but noticed other campers having fires on the first night. We later found out there had been a miscommunication, which meant we missed out on having a fire for two nights — a big part of the camping experience for us. To add to that, our neighbours played loud music on the second night, which impacted the overall atmosphere and ability to relax. There was also animal droppings scattered across much of the campground, which didn’t help the experience. Overall, this was unfortunately our worst camping experience to date, and it didn’t feel like good value for what we paid.

Directions were clear. Many other camper's but no disruption to us. We didn't use camp kitchen or amenities. Very close to Bells Beach, Jan Juc & Torquay. Would return & recommend.

Lots of room to choose where to camp - ground was bumpy but found a good flat area for the tent. Only issue was the larger groups had some pretty noisy parties and music until 12am. But on a quieter weekend will definitely be back!

I seldom feel the need to comment negatively but this campsite is not a great find. Communication is slow (we had to follow-up our booking and messages with a call), the property poorly maintained and run as an afterthought to the farm's primary business which is social therapy,. The campsite is untidy has very basic facilities (in our case there was no working water, solar lighting or toilet yet (weirdly) was the most expensive site we have stayed at in our 10 years of camping. Needless to say, we left prematurely and do not recommend. There are other much better options in the area.

We recently stayed at this Hipcamp in our caravan and it was one of those places you almost want to keep secret. The site was easy to access and spacious enough to set up comfortably without feeling cramped, which made arriving and settling in stress free. It struck the perfect balance between privacy and open space, feeling peaceful and tucked away while still welcoming and safe. The hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, with clear communication and thoughtful touches that made the stay even better. We loved relaxing outside looking at the spectacular view. It’s the kind of spot where the kids can explore, the adults can truly unwind, and everyone sleeps well — we’d happily stay again.

Lovely rustic hipcamp with lots of space, shaded sites and clean toilets. Kids loved the bikes, wagon and slack line play equipment. We didnt use the camp kitchen but looked well equipped. Communication with host was the only downside, no reply from our texts but luckily we found the place ok.

Beautiful spot, not far out of Torquay. Stayed there before, and will again. Must be self sufficient and fires are not always guaranteed, but its worth it for the spot. Magical.

Sadly I can’t give a good review here This was our first pit stop on our camper adventure along the Great Ocean Road It was hard to find , we followed the instruction to the letter and hit a brick wall with all forms of communication options given Text messages not answer - phone not picked up Voicemail suggested email as prefer contact option - this did get through but wasnt answered until we had checked out the following day We ended up stumbling across the camp and another camper showed us in It’s advertised under a different name ( just to add to confusion ) We expected rustic but the kitchenette area was quite frankly disgusting and the whole area seemed in disarray We have been in Australia travelling for nearly a month and honestly this campsite is our only bad experience we have had in the entire time

stayed there for 2 nights a bit after new year. 10ish camps already set up when we arrived but there was heaps of space for everyone. everyone packed up and we had a quiet second night. toilets were clean. everything was smooth and we will surely go back again for a relaxing getaway. since the camp is not too far from torquay. you can go back to town and find all of the mandatory stores within 30 mins drive. lovely stay!

A great stopover. A big field with loads of space. The camp kitchen looked very homely but we didn't use. Lovely touches for the kids around trees. The kids loved a couple of visits to the farm animals. Portable loos were clean and much appreciated. Remember to take your own TP!

Needs cleaner toilets.

Great location and a pretty farm, but the two portable toilets were very old and very unclean when we visited. Disappointing given the Christmas period surge pricing that we paid.
