For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also. Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝 We have Souvineers and firewood please bring cash 😍 Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running. Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉 Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe. Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties. Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉 Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

Our recent visit to Sublime Camping was an overall delightful experience. Nestled just off Tin Can Bay Road, the campground offers an escape from the hustle and bustle, as the traffic noise is blissfully absent. The unique aspect of this location is the ability to pick your own spot at the old lime farm, providing a sense of freedom. While the camp facilities are minimalistic, it is important to note that all campers are required to be self-contained. This aspect adds to the charm and tranquility of the place, ensuring a peaceful environment for everyone. Our group had the pleasure of enjoying some great meals at the Sublime Brewery, accompanied by a few of their signature brews. The combination of great food, drinks, and good company made for a memorable weekend. However, it is worth mentioning that our tranquil morning was interrupted by the sound of mowing before 7 am on a Sunday morning. While this was a minor inconvenience, it did detract from our overall positive experience at this quiet little spot. In conclusion, Sublime Camping is a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful and self-contained camping experience. Just be prepared for an early morning wake-up call if the groundskeeper decides to mow the lawn.

Camped on powered site 11 big sites and close to amenities which were great and always so clean. Cute little bath tub for the kids. Kids they loved walking over to the playground and kitchen. Waterslide was also so much for the kids and adults.. Shelley was awesome and very welcoming took us to feed the animals Saturday morning. We are already planning our trip back.

Chrissy and Duane were extremely hospitable and generous to my boyfriend and I on our one night stay on their farm. The land is beautiful and animals were so gentle. We had the opportunity to feed the highland cows and lambs, made a campfire amongst the beautiful scenery, and indulged in the gift shop too. I would highly recommend this site to families, couples, and single travellers. Anyone would be able to find beauty here and I am sure we will revisit again!

Only 10 mins away from K’gari(Fraser Island) barge that leaves from River Heads, and you can leave your van here for a small fee. It is an 8 min drive to the local food works, BP servo, chemist and a 12 min drive for takeaway options. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided. Beautiful and secluded paddock at the back of our house on one and a half acres, located in Cooloola Cove. PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING. A perfect spot to explore the area and a jump off point for K'gari/Fraser Island. Amenities include: fire pit (bring your own wood), camp oven cooking pit, full BBQ kitchen in the fully powered shed with huge commercial fridge and running/drinkable water. The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron. Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub! Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding. Only a 10 min drive to Tin Can bay and 15 mins to Rainbow Beach - and a Woolworths/bakery/bottle shop 5 mins down the road. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Unfortunately we can only accommodate tent/camper trailer bookings and not large motorhomes or towed caravans of any kind. Flooding does occur during rainy season, roughly January to April, which can make the site and area inaccessible. Please check/consider conditions when booking and in the lead up to your stay. During the months of September and October we have nesting birds on the property and swooping can be issue and something to keep in mind if any of your group have an aversion to birds.  As per Hipcamp rules/insurance policy, there must be a person over 18 years old on site with any under 18s during the stay.

If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise. Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. While the dog motel may occasionally add a touch of canine charm to the soundscape, I'm confident that the overall experience at my Hipcamp will be an enjoyable one.
