Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Campfires permitted however must be kept within the allocated fire pit and must be outside of restrictions. You must have portable toilet and be fully self-sufficient. All waste to be removed by campers upon departure. We would like to preserve this site for all future campers so please ensure that you abide by our rules. Generators welcomed, to be switched off between 10pm and 7am. Please be mindful of loud music after 10pm - please adhere to this request else you may be asked to leave. Unfortunately, to preserve our wildlife, no pets allowed. 4WD Required for this property. WOW - what a fabulous location! Hosts were super friendly and helpful; sites were huge and immaculately maintained; creek was beautiful - dog and I didn't want to leave! I highly recommend and hope to return when next in that part of AUS! PS when booking, the reference to Left and Right site numbers was a little confusing, but it just means they are next to each other.

Caralyn’s directions to site were great. Site 1R, the whole area along the creek, was beautiful on levelish well maintained grass you could walk barefoot on. 1R had a mixture of shade and sun in the morning. Alongside site is a sterdy deck with table & chairs. There was direct access to creek for a wade/sit on a rock, refreshing on a hot day. A large industrial bin was available. It was a relaxing place to unwind and spot a variety of bird life. Certainly had a restful time and felt safe. Loved the fairy lights on the tree💜

Such a beautiful location with fantastic views! The horses just added that extra farm stay touch and made you feel like such a part of nature. We were unlucky enough to get caught in some big storms but the property was so well maintained it didnt affect us at all and no issues getting the caravan in and out. It was very windy though so don't make the same mistake we did by putting the awning out if the weather isn't 100%! Overall very private and relaxing location and only 10 minutes out from Dayborough. Will definitely be back.

We were only a 300 metre walk from the main swimming hole. With lake frontage, shaded camp sites. A great weekend even with rainy weather. Will definitely come back to Bushywood!

The knight Ranch is a small hobby farm with beautiful flat grassy fields, Established trees providing plenty of shade. Wildlife a plenty. With resident animals tawny frog mouth and ducks. The camp/caravan site is isolated out in the rear paddock. The most pristine area on the property. As soon as you arrive you will begin to relax. Easy access off wallace road and easy pull through to the back paddock. Open grassy field with established trees overlooking a small dam and bushland. The perfect place to set up, chuck a roast on and crack a cold one. Campfire locations set up with rocks. Sunrises through the trees over the wetland/bushes. Close proximity (driving) to the river for a spot of fishing, the bay for an early morning walk or explore with the kids and the local tavern for some adult time. A walk up Wallace road on an evening is quite nice if you are looking to stretch your legs. Glass house mountains are a 20-25min drive for some great hikes and if you make it to the top some worthy photos. Brisbane is 45min drive with no traffic. Bribie island is a 22min drive with lots of great cafes and flat walks available. IMPORTANT: The Ranch is on the corner of beachmere and Wallace road. Access is off Wallace road. After you turn onto Wallace road it’s the first right at the yellow letterbox. Pull through and down to the left. Through the gate next to the container out into the back paddock. Please keep this gate shut. There is a designated area for Hip-Camp straight and to the right near the fire pit and bucket. If you have animals please clean up after them and dogs are to be on lead if they do not recall or like to chase wildlife. As we have wonderful bird life along with lizards and chickens on the property. The fire pit has bricks around it. You can help yourself to any kindling but it’s BYO firewood. Please do not chop logs or collect logs from the property.

Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, pig. So tough plastic boxes are great to hide your food items. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock but she likes to socialise. I'm waiting for fencer to get her back in her paddock again. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. If you do an instant booking and I don't see it or reply, don't stress, as your welcome to drive on in and straight up the laneway to the back paddock area. I'm sure you will see other campers too and set up where ever you like. Just close gates again and I will meet you later if we are out. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek, Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups! The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole. This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in. The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite and you are able to wander the 2km of river frontage while fishing. They have easy access off the main Kerry Road. Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River. Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park. Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided). Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest. All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table. Exclusivity is a feature of all our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.
