Kids are free to 17 so if you have children between 12-17, please include them in the "children" booking. Spend your time swimming, fishing, canoeing or simply sipping a cold drink on the pontoon under the umbrella. With an easterly aspect you’ll want to spend the morning swimming or exploring the riverscape and when the afternoon shade sets in light the campfire and put your feet up. There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic! Sarabah is a 300 acre working cattle property located along the upper reaches of the pristine Canungra Creek and in the foothills of the Lamington National Park. Access is possible in 2WD in fine weather but 4WD will be needed in wet weather. Guests must be fully self-contained including toilet and drinking water - no facilities provided. We ask for minimal impact - removal of all waste and rubbish is the guest's responsibility. Dogs are permitted but must be under control at all times. Open fires permitted only in fire pits provided - subject to local restrictions when applicable. Firewood is available and delivered to your campsite. Please message Steve 48 hours prior to arrival if you would like firewood. We currently have 8 campsites that can be booked: The Campground (site 1), The Secret Spot (site 2), The Picnic Ground (site 3), The Overflow (site 4), The Rock Shelf (site 5), The Nook (site 6), The Paddock (site 7) and The Cranny (site 8). All sites have creek frontage and are private and a reasonable distance away from other sites. Note: vehicles, camper trailers, caravans and toilets are not to be set up within 10m of the creek as per local government by-laws. When booking, select one of these 8 sites and you will have exclusive use of that site for your stay. Please note that the price is per person and all guests must be included when booking. Bookings can be altered (guests added and deleted) by the person making the booking and it is their responsibility to collect payment from others for whom they have booked and paid. Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.
