* TEMPORARILY CLOSED - due flood damage, follow our instagram for updates @lakehaigsleafarm* Exclusive site on our 80acre working property just off the Warrego Highway at Haigslea. (Please note as we are 1km off the highway there is subsequent highway noise, we are immune to it, but as anything, some people may notice more than others.) The campsite has its own gate access for self checkin and checkout and is located next to our 14 acre dam. This splits off to another private smaller dam with banks and secret hideaways to explore. The small dam is also home to our new Quack Shack, home to our 9 free range Geese who spend their days exploring the banks or swimming on the water. The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels. Great to swim in, but no jumping from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) There is a large pontoon to take in the evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) The campsite is bordered by seasonal crop paddocks. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, so you may have some friends hanging about or sneak through the electric fences. We will advise guests when electric fences are on. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or our free range geese that call the campsite home.** Please be very conscious of this when thinking of bringing any animals as our baby geese are only new and wander around the site and dam perimeter and over to the campsite to say hi. Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club. Guests will be able to see them fly around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club. During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globemasters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply. A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use. Please leave no trace and take all rubbish with you. Private gate access from the road. We will send through an information email for self check in and check out the week prior which will include the gate code. Perfect for a place to hideaway and relax or a base to explore the surroundings. Follow our Instagram: @lakehaigsleafarm for updates and photos! LOCALS GOUGE: - For families, the Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road. Check out their social media, a good activity for the kids during the day. - Perfect spot to explore all our little country towns from. Fernvale is only a short drive, the famous Fernvale bakery is a must. - Check out discover Ipswich for whats on or around. Many great local pubs and things to see and do! PLEASE NOTE: ** PRICING - $40.00 per night per vehicle (caravan/camper, this includes 4 people.) As this is 1 site FOR ONE CARAVAN/CAMPER, booking options don't include adding an extra camper or family group. We are happy to have guests camp with other friends or family (max 4 caravans/campers on site) ON REQUEST. To do this, please select the extra caravan option (under extras) when booking. Please note that it is $40 per night per camper/caravan so you will need to add the extra twice if it is for two nights (or 4 times if booking for 2 extra caravans/campers for two nights etc.) Please send me a message if you have any questions, as the booking selection options don't have the capability to reflect adding extra campers to a single booking site as of yet. * No parties or large gatherings, but happy for small friend or family groups *

Lake Haigslea Farm
Dogs loved it and so did we
Second time camping here. There been some changes. Fence has been moved so more room to pick a place to camp even though there was already plenty of room. We camped closer to the geese and their dam for the view. Loo with a view has moved but sadly I didn't get a photo of the new view. Love the pontoon closer as well and the new garden. Love having a place to relax at while visiting family close by. Make sure you have plenty of bread for the geese ☺️ And our dogs love staying there as well. Room to run around and live swimming in the dam 😁

Dam Good Stay!
Even though the weather was not ideal, we loved staying at Lake Haigslea Farm. It was great having the whole camp to ourselves. Close enough to the city but it felt miles away. The camping area had lovely grass which was ideal for our pod and our little doggo. The loo with a view was clean and so handy. We even met a green frog in there. Loved seeing the fighter jets flying over. We will visit again soon. Ange was super friendly and so helpful. Thank you. :)

The best campsite! Loved it
What is there not to love! A beaut campsite on your own .. no one else.. ahh the serenity. Yes a little road noise as detailed in listing but really depends on wind and certainly didn’t ruin anything for us , with the well mowed grassy site and loo with a view.. A paddle with the geese so certainly a memory I won’t forget… loved the morning gabbles with geese. Close to points of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail , Amberley RAAF base ( was a buzz seeing all those jets!) and the local model aircraft club… was always something to see. (Oh! Did I mention the geese!). We opted for the firewood bundle which was excellent hardwood for our campfires at night. Really….. can’t wait to come back again

Awesome campsite with amazing sunse
Just spent an extended Easter stay by the beautiful lake at Lake Haigslea Farm. From the entrance at the gate to the lush green grass (no bindi) flat camp area, the flash loo with a view and the pontoon to take in some amazing sunsets this site is beautifully maintained and we can certainly understand why it won best caravan site on Hipcamp 2021. There are 9 resident geese that are very social and wandered in and around camp. Great place to base yourself to explore the Lockyer Valley. Added bonus we had our own air show with C17s & Fighter Jets from Amberley flying over. Hosts Ange & Kristain are super friendly and extremely helpful.
