Platypus Point
The area was freshly mowed and well presented with great outlook. Kayaks were great giving access the waterway so we could experience the river life. We enjoyed the sheep and cattle on the road to the site.

What an Amazing spot. Very well maintained, clean and tidy.
Very private spot. River is beautiful and clean. Fishing is great.
Kayaks are available and paddling up the river is lovely.
Hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommended and we will be returning for sure.

My partner and I were looking for a great spot we could camp near water and be with our dogs without anyone nearby and I think we have just found our new favourite spot. Lexi and Kieran’s place is so beautiful and private. We really appreciated how accommodating and communicative they were with us. We will definitely be back!

Nice elevated site with beautiful views of the river and surrounding area.
The kayaks and launching jetty was an extra bonus.
Lexi and Kieren were great hosts keeping us well informed of anything we needed to know.
We will definitely be back!

What a fantastic place, ticks all the boxes. You can only hear nature, occasionally disturbed by the odd plane. Very peaceful with views of Brisbane river. The morning kayak was very picturesque and so quiet. The site is well maintained and the hosts are lovely. Can't wait to get back there. Thanks again for sharing, we had a wonderful time.

Absolutely perfect spot. We loved the quiet, the privacy and direct access to the Brisbane River for fishing, kayaking and swimming. The water was so clean, the fish a plenty (catfish!) but yellow belly spotted and huge fish jumping. Highly recommend.

Very clean campsite. Large area of mown grass that allows good access to the river. Very private site. Beautiful river views. Kayaks provided for use. Lots of fish action. Great camp site. Our dogs loved it as well.

This is river camping at its finest... Totally secluded and private and so much space. Direct access to the river ideal for swimming and kayaking. Great family get together location.

Found a new favourite spot. No facilities but beautiful, peaceful camp site on the Brisbane river. Lexi and Kieran great hosts and checked in to let us know a big storm was coming. Close to Fernvale if you need extra supplies or a pub meal. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at this campsite! Everything was absolutely perfect and the position and views over the river were spectacular. So secluded and private which was really nice. Loved the free kayaks and went exploring up the river. A big thank you to Lexi and Kieren for having us stay at your beautiful property and for your great friendly service. Highly recommended and would love to return one day

I stayed at Platypus Point with my partner and dog and we all had an absolute blast! The campsite felt very secluded and was absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be looking to stay again!

A beautiful secluded location but very easy to get to. Well presented simple little campsite with a lovely view, making it easy to unwind. I loved being able to explore the river with my kids in the kayaks provided.

Platypus Point was such a beautiful campsite, we stayed for a weekend but wish we had the whole week as it was so serene and relaxing. We honestly kept forgetting we were less than an hour from the city.
Lexi and Kieren were also wonderful hosts, we really felt so welcomed and privileged to stay on their property. The directions for arrival were clear, we even got a map from the gate on the way in with some helpful tips and facts about the area. The communication throughout the whole trip was really appreciated as well, they made sure to let us know about a few truck deliveries and noises but we weren’t bothered by it at all.
There was also kayaks left on the campsite which was just another added bonus on our trip as we spent most of our time on the water, which was also beautiful.
Hopefully we’ll come back soon and be able to stay for longer as we had such an amazing time.

Lovely cleared area with easy access to the river bank. Caught plenty of catfish, a couple turtles, a perch and a bass on our one night stay. I am pretty certain I saw a platypus also, a brown wide backed creature popped up and ducked back under the water pretty swiftly around 630am to the right of the point. Very private area and quiet. Saw one boat zoom past while we were fishing. Make sure you bring wood as the campfire ring was great to sit around at night. The lovely owners had freshly mowed the grass just before our arrival and had left a handy page of notes on the property for us at the gateway. We will definitely be back :) thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Had such a beautiful stay at Lexi and Kieran’s land. From the moment I arrived, Lexi was absolutely lovely — warm and welcoming. There’s only one campsite on the property, so we had the whole place entirely to ourselves, which made it feel extra peaceful and private.
The view of the river was just stunning. Took the kayak out for a paddle and it was so calm and relaxing on the water. My two dogs had the best time exploring, playing, and just being out in nature — it was perfect for them.
Everything about this spot was serene, clean, and well looked after. Such a great place to camp if you’re looking for quiet, space, and a beautiful natural setting. Highly recommend, and I’d happily come back again.
