Platypus Point
Must visit site!
What an amazing spot, so peaceful and relaxing. Lexi and Kieren were wonderful hosts, very helpful and responsive. They provide an excellent map and fact sheet about the area which was so helpful to know more about the camp and it's surrounds. This spot is definitely a little slice of heaven, so much wildlife to watch and it was so relaxing looking at the water and the cows grazing along the banks. So many turtles and fish jumping, we "think" we saw one of the mysterious Platypus but we can't be sure, we will just have to come back and try and catch another glimpse! We managed a bit of fishing too! Only caught catfish but sitting on the bank looking at the water was good enough for us really. Can't rave about this camp enough, we can't wait to be back for a longer stay next time!

Platypus Point
Spectacular private retreat!
We had the pleasure of being the first campers at Platypus Point, and what a spectacular spot it turned out to be! Lexi & Kieran were incredibly friendly and approachable, providing easy-to-follow directions. Our dogs had a blast swimming and hanging by the fire with us, and we even had the chance to spot turtles and a few eagles flying by. Unfortunately didn’t see any platypus but they have been sighted multiple times as owners have mentioned. The highlight of our stay was definitely the kayaking experience - gliding through the serene waters was truly magical. We can't wait to return for more trips to this peaceful retreat. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature, Platypus Point is the perfect spot. Enough phone reception for Optus & Telstra users. We look forward to our next visit!
