The camping area it’s self was lovely, we enjoyed not being close to any other campers. The area was nice and clear.

Great little farm stay. Sites spread out so the neighbours aren’t right beside you. Noise from the highway is definitely noticeable but didn’t worry us and couldn’t hear it inside the van.

What a magic spot! We travelled a well mowed path through the bush to our very large site. There are six sites on the property but they’re far enough apart that you feel like you have this slice of paradise to yourself. A firepit completed the site. Felicia was really responsive to messages. If you’re here heading for Queensland Raceway you’re travelling against traffic. Will definitely be back 👍

Camp host is friendly, great directions given for arrival. We were located in #campsite 3, 2 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our camping, waking to a the view of the dam, short stroll over. Grounds are well looked after.
Campsites are spread out, some more secluded than others, you have some privacy. Entry/Exit is the only time we crossed paths with others.

We loved our stay at Poores Outback Camping Site 4! It is a lovely site with neatly kept grass. Far away from other campers so nice and private. You can still see and hear the cars on Cunningham highway but that did not bother us much. The campsite is convenient and close to Willowbank if you are attending an event at Ipswich racing precinct.

A great camping spot to feel like you’re away from civilisation but you’re still very close. A bit of road noise but we didn’t mind! Felicia was very helpful and responsive to messages. We’re keen to stay again!

Beautifully mown flat sites, we really appreciate a clean grassy site as we have kids. Access to all vehicles. Horses, chickens on site, great for kids to go and chat to. Lots of room to move and play. 6 mins away from Qld Raceway and entrance to the scenic Rim. Excellent spot.

It was a close spot to go back n forth to willow bank. because of the bad weather Felicia didn’t get a chance to organise wood so we couldn’t have a fire, without a fire and after the rain the bugs were pretty bad so we couldn’t sit outside at night. It wasn’t as noisy with road noise as others have mentioned.

Loved camping here after going to Queensland Raceway which was only a 5 minute drive away. Camp sites were spaced apart nicely and was all freshly mowed upon arrival as well as the trail leading to the campsites. I would definitely choose to come back here if I happen to be in the area :)

Enjoyed the spot. Highway noise is a bit unavoidable but didn’t worry me too much. Had some 4 legged friends say g’day one day which was funny. I stayed for a fair stint while on placement at the local vets and didn’t feel like my coming and going was a pain for anyone thank goodness.

Nice bush camp quick to escape to from Brisbane. A bit of noise from Willowbank racing but can't complain about the convenience. Plenty of room and privacy from other sites. Felicia's communication and ease of directions was excellent. Thanks!

The Poores Rd Campsite is in a great location, especially if you're visiting Summer Land Camels which is only 5 minutes down the road.
When we arrived, there were no tables and chairs, and there was no firewood available due to the owners' chainsaw needing repairs. We also needed to relocate the fire pit from another site.
I would recommend bringing your own table and chairs, and firewood or a chainsaw, just in case.
The noise from the road is also relatively loud, so recommend sleeping with ear plugs if you're sensitive to that.
Definitely recommend staying here regardless.

Easy to find street address and directions to campsite on property. Good location to visit local tourist destinations on Scenic Rim. Our campsite #3 was close (150m) and visible to Cunningham highway though. With B double semis travelling through the night, not a quiet location.

I reckon a solo camp is the best way to spend a long weekend and wow, what a great time I had at the Poores Outback Property ! The owner Felicia was lovely and very accommodating considering that it was a last minute booking for a long weekend. The ground is nice and flat and easy to peg a tent, surrounded by trees, birds, kangaroos and not to mention the beautiful horses who greeted me at the gate on my arrival and departure :) will definitely recommend this camp site to anyone looking for a relaxing camping weekend (or a weekday).

24 Poores rd Outback Camping
The owner was lovely to message with before hand.
However the property was hard to find going off the instructions, they werent quite right. They should say "turn down Goebels Rd and continue past the Poores Rd sign. You'll see a yellow tank on the right after the Poores Rd turn off. The gate it next to the yellow tank".
Unfortunately this location is very close to the Willowbank raceway so there were cars racing until 11pm at the event. Look up events before time to see if any are on during your stay. The highway was close but not too noisy, lots of trucks. The horses were friendly but kind of scarily followed me across the entrance paddock when on foot.
The camp spot itself was a mowed section of grass in amongst the trees, good to turn around on site without reversing.
The signage was hard to follow as the arrows for camp-site 1 and 2 pointed left instead of ahead so wasn't sure if we were to camp where the arrow pointed or drive down a mowed driveway ahead.

There are two great spots for camping, easy to get to, private and Felicia was happy to help with fire wood a fire pit and a few chairs. The location was perfect for us to get to and from the races at Willowbank.

Felicia’s place is a must if you love horses! The camp site is a roped off in the horse paddock with an above ground fire pit, small table and chairs and insect repellent provided. It was lovely to hang out with the horses and give them plenty of cuddles - they were very inquisitive and friendly (and stayed on their side of the fence).
There was some noise due being located near the highway & raceway however this did not affect my stay.
