Nice View, quiet place, relax and have fun with friends and family. Camp on your own hill, relaxing. Tracks were fun to drive going to your site while having nice views on left and right, Got to experience a part of rural Australia. Hope to come back again.

Larapinta offers a ton of fun, scenic walks, 4wding for all abilities and amenities through the property. All the camps are kept clean and tidy and Cameron’s communication on what to do when arriving is great. Firewood available for purchase and with a short wonder around the camp site you can easily collect some more if needed. Quite camp sites separated by hundreds of meters lets you enjoy nature and properly relax, we will definitely be back.

What a spot! The Penthouse was a beautiful spot and well maintained. Woke to curious cows all around the tent. Cameron and Liz had even popped fresh flowers in the bath and vases from their garden. Wonderful hosts who even went out of their way to help change a popped tyre on departure. Can’t say enough good things. Will definitely be back.

Great spot close to Brisbane! It’s tidy, well kept and I’d happily go here again. Sit back and watch the birds on the water. We were on site 2 which got the wind but didn’t damp our mood. Great fire pit to keep you warm.

Weekend Trip to Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat

It is on a bit of a hill which made it a little difficult finding a spot without a self levelling camper trailer. Although, it is a nice little camping spot amongst some trees and close to the water. And with a option to stay a single night.

Cameron’s land was beautiful and very well set out. Really nice walking tracks and good amenities. Definitely would recommend and will be back!

The Penthouse with an outhouse at Larapinta is exceptional. The site was quiet and beautiful, overlooking the mountains, with neighbours far enough away to feel secluded. We loved the hot bath under the stars on a chilly night. Simplicity with a few comforts. Cameron was an excellent host and easy to communicate with.

My partner and I stayed at site 5 and absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful views, clean and tidy Amenities as well as being in a convenient location not far from Beaudesert. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a few days away!

What a stay! So tranquil and chilled out. Was so stoked to get so much room to just sit and be. Can’t wait to come back again.

We loved this HipCamp. Site 10 was a steep climb to get there but my 4x4 and camper loved it. Amazing views and sites are far apart. We will definitely visit again soon!

We loved our weekend at Larapinta. Best hipcamp I've been to so far. Fun tracks to get in as well as extra challenging ones for those wanting it, clean site, clean portaloo (a few mins drive away), beautiful views, cows and kangaroos. My favourite part is the distance between sites. They are so well spaced out. A lot of hip camps say this but in reality it's not so.

Site 3 at Larapinta was amazing. Tucked away beside a creek, listening to it bubble away during the day and night was so beautiful. There were a few sites occupied during our stay but far enough and at a particular angle that we knew they were there, could barely hear them, and felt like we had enough privacy. The tracks in & around the property are definitely 4WD! If you're inexperienced take your time, and best to have off-road tyres. It was great fun for us! Cameron was helpful, directing me to a beautiful little spring fed waterfall. We saw sooo many birds & butterflies in the morning around the creek, cows, baby cows!, galahs, and a few kangaroos. The map was super helpful and easy to follow. We will definitely be back with our children in future.

Cameron's communication was clear as were his rules. The camp site had stunning views. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Larapinta.

Very nice area, nobody else was staying at the other campsite when we were there so completely private. Didn’t see the owners at all but that’s no problem for us. There was a box with info and emergency first aid kit and PLB provided which is a good inclusion for emergencies. Lovely cattle on the property roaming around, nice creek to explore.

It was a great location, so peaceful, secluded. Cameron was a fantastic host, easy to talk to. Definitely will be back!!

It was winter mid week so it was fairly quiet. Beautiful views of the lake and the abundant bird life. Areas 1 and 2 were great but very shaded causing me to have to move to a powered site to recharge my batteries. Thanks Belinda for allowing that.

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation. There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks. You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau. Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers.
