Just a kilometer up the road from our site, you'll find a charming Dog Motel. Please keep in mind that the noise from the dog motel isn't a nightly occurrence, making it difficult to predict specific nights when it may be more active. However I've noticed that campers in caravans generally have a more insulated experience and are less affected by any early morning barking. If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise. Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. While the dog motel may occasionally add a touch of canine charm to the soundscape, I'm confident that the overall experience at my Hipcamp will be an enjoyable one. Keep an eye out for the beautiful native wildlife …. Kangaroos, possums, a variety of birds and maybe even a rabbit or two. Bonus…at night enjoy the show as the trucks pass by with all their lights on display showing through the trees (yes you can hear them but not intrusive)it adds to the charm and the vibe. Clear skies with stars by the thousands, find your constellations whilst visiting. Tiaro main street is only 3 mins away by car and is home to the well-known Tiaro butcher and the Tiaro Christmas Cottage. Maryborough 20 mins and Gympie 40 mins. Perfect position to base and explore from. More and more features and facilities are being added slowly so keep an eye out! On the plans are showers, special event nights, projector screen movies, kids playground, outdoor kitchen, and picnic table areas…… No powered sites but we have a power point in the toilet block for device charging.. Peaceful 5 acres lots of trees on one half , cleared on the other with a huge dam, with lily pads a wharf, great place to chill back ,watch all the wild birds, ducks, cockatoos, hen birds, spoon bill birds, whistling ducks, Galahs, Rosella's, rainbow lorikeets, king parrots, Kangaroos. We also have sheep, chickens, turkeys, which the kids can feed in the afternoons. We are only 5 mins away from the Ferry to Fraser Island, 10 mins to Hervey Bay, with its Esplanade , bike, & walking trails, also there is dog friendly beach's. Great place to stop, and rest before Fraser Island, we are dog friendly, but must be kept on leash at all times.

We loved Luke's compound. The hosts Peter and Renee were so accommodating and friendly. They even gave us a jumpstart. The property was immaculate. Toilets clean and functional. Plenty for the kids to do. With a zip line ove the dam, kayaks, bikes, a jumping castle. We will definitely be back next time we are going through the area.

Great location and only a short drive to the beach. The camp itself is pretty simple but it’s what we expected when we booked. I would say to avoid this site if you have a low clearance 2WD as we struggled a little bit to get out with our campervan. Overall we would stay again purely for the location 😊

What a camp site! Only a few plots so it feels extremely remote. Janine was so friendly and helpful, evening brining me extra things such as mosquito repellent. The location is perfect and great if you’re getting to Hervey Bay. A very beautiful stay - I will be back!

Went there with our Hiace campervan. Great view of the pond. Had a fire. Woke up to the sound of the birds. Amazing. It was easy to find. Helpful owner and neighbour. Only thought is that I am not sure how the dirt driveway would hold up in wet weather for vans or larger. Other than that, would recommend it.

Peter and Renee were the loveliest hosts and they make us feel right at home. Communication was easy even though we made a very last minute booking. We arrived late at night from a big drive and there was a nice campfire waiting for us. The block was tidy and well looked after, bathrooms were super clean, and it was a treat to meet their cool doggo, Nugget. We wish we would have stayed there longer to get to know these three beauties but sadly we had to get going. Next time we'll make sure we save a bit of time for a bevy around the fire with Pete and Renee. Thanks so much to you two x

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had upgraded to hot showers. Marie is a great host and went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I had a private site with a gazabo, table and chairs, so I only needed to set up my swag. and there was a lounge seat near the fire pit so I could enjoy reading in the afternoon sun or a hot chocolate before bed around the fire. It is pet friendly and close to a dog friendly beach.
