Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.

Both sites back onto a seasonal dam offering a beautiful arena for picnics and star-gazing. Bring a blanket and enjoy the absolute tranquillity of the mountain, surrounded by our resident wallabies and other native wildlife. Lots of bird-watching opportunities, including forest kingfishers, channel-billed cuckoos, pale-headed rosellas, and whistling kites. The entire area has lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to manoeuvre and park. Well behaved pets are welcome: dogs on leads to protect the wildlife, please. Campfires permitted when no fire bans are in place. Most suitable for passing travellers looking for a quiet night to stay. We are off grid, so fully self-contained guests only as no facilities are provided: BYO everything, including drinking water, chemical toilet and shower facilities. Guests must take all waste with them on departure. Our property is located approximately 5 minutes from the Isis Highway. Childers is under 30 minutes away, Biggenden approximately 25 minutes. We live onsite in another area of the property, but available for questions or help.

Biking and bush walking are popular with guests. Please note that the river bank is quite steep. We recently had 2 access tracks constructed to the river for easier KAYAK launching. We are pet friendly and welcome SELF-CONTAINED RV campers only (council regulations). Our wetland has lots of bird life with quite a few raising young.
