Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS. The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. My 100 acre grassland property is mostly natural ironbark grassland, bounded by the Condamine River to the east and the sealed Cullendore Road to the west. This area also includes a small number of powered sites * TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles *Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own. *HOT Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites *Lots to see and experience in nearby Warwick and the Granite Belt. We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

This is a place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature. The property features a running creek, seasonal waterfalls, subtropical rainforest pockets, and open ridge lines with sweeping views. Our bushland is home to abundant wildlife – keep an eye out for wallabies, native birds, and if you’re lucky, a koala drinking from our treetop water stations. 🐾 Pet-Friendly: We love dogs, and they love it here too! Many of our guests bring their furry friends along for the adventure. There’s plenty of space to explore, just keep them supervised and under control around livestock and wildlife. 🌿 Nature & Adventure: Explore our designated nature corridor, take a peaceful walk, or hike up to one of our lookouts. For those with a 4WD, parts of the property offer even more to discover. 🚗 2WD Access: No 4WD? No worries! A property with amazing river access a history of great fishing and gold panning. The steep terrain adjacent the river lends itself to some fantastic scenery, the perfect place to unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet. Grab a tube and float down the river rapids, or just relax in camp listening to the sounds of nature. We have an abundance of bird life and wild cattle roaming the property, theres so much to see and enjoy With a small number of sites on the property you're sure to feel like the only ones in the world. Currently access is 4WD recommended due to the steep terrain. Any towing MUST be done with a 4WD. AWD and rear wheel drive vehicles are fine, though good idea to check with us FWD vehicles are NOT permitted. Good ground clearance is required

Multiple campsites and cabins available on a beautiful winery located on the bicycle track at Glen Aplin, a short distance from Stanthorpe, Ballandean and the picturesque Girraween National Park. On site you will find an amenity block consisting of two toilets and two showers as well as a disabled shower/toilet combined. Two outdoor BBQ's and a wooodfired pizza oven are available for guests to use. A limited range of pushbikes and E bikes are available to hire, just enquire at the cellar door. Located only moments away from Girraween National Park- plenty of hikes available and with a range of difficulties, each view will take your breath away. With many wineries on the same track, we are in a perfect location for anyone who wishes to join a tour, or even just do the one or two nearby. Come watch the wildlife, whilst sipping on a glass of the ‘bloody good red’ - or whatever you fancy. Water station is on Mackenzie Street in Stanthorpe for those needing to fill their tanks with potable water. No water available for filling tanks on site. P.S. We are pet friendly!

Beautiful campsite! We stayed at Red Gum Hill which had spectacular views. The site was sloping, so come prepared but that's its only downfall. Super private. Definitely would come again.

Weekend Trip to One Tree Hill

First of all, Guy is very friendly and accommodating. He treats all campers well. Secondly, Sunset Ridge is the ultimate camp site. The area is all to yourself. You have exclusive views and lucky enough to have hot air balloon go over our campsite. Hot shower is a just a two minute drive as the Sunset Ridge campsite is on the top of the hill. Or 12 minute walk to enjoy the view and farm animals. Very accessible just an hour drive from Brisbane. One of the best camping spots we’ve visited. Also horseback riding and calf feeding was fun and unique for a campsite. Definitely going back again.

This was our very first Hipcamp experience, so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but our stay at One Tree Hill was absolutely wonderful. We camped at Dead Tree Alley, which was peaceful, private, and only a short walk to the homestead for the bathroom or a hot shower. One of the highlights was the friendly herd of rescue cows, who paid us a few curious visits and seemed fascinated by our campsite and campfire. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views in every direction. The stargazing was incredible, and watching the full moon rise over the ridge was something we'll always remember. Our young children absolutely loved feeding the animals and getting up close to them. Guy was especially patient with our 4-year-old, who was initially nervous around the animals. Thanks to his calm encouragement, our son not only gained confidence but even ended up riding a horse! Guy and his family have created a truly special place. It's clear how much passion and hard work they put into caring for the property and their animals, and sharing it with others. We left with wonderful memories and wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at One Tree Hill, and it definitely won’t be our last. 🤍 The first time we stayed at Sunset Ridge, and this trip we stayed at Red Gum Hill. Both sites were beautiful, peaceful and incredibly private, each with their own charm. If you’re looking for a quiet countryside escape with stunning mountain views, this place is hard to beat. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the creek access, campfires under the stars, and how spacious the sites felt. It was also perfect for camping with dogs (on leash). Access was straightforward in the dry, although we’d agree that 4WD is the better option if the weather turns wet. This has become our favourite countryside campsite, and we’ll definitely be back again. Thanks, Guy, for sharing such a beautiful property with campers. 🤎🏕️🐾
