Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm. PRICE. $25 per night Max 2 people. $10 per night for any extra people on that site. $5 for kids 5 years to 12 years. Not only enjoy a quiet and lazy morning with a seasonal creek running along the outlook from your camp site, but you will also love our goats, and they will love you visiting, especially our goat named "Squirt", who thinks he is a dog. You will be camping with them as they roam around your camp site. We have 130 acres to explore and welcome caravans, tents and RVs. Later in the day you can walk or pushbike ride the many trails then perhaps enjoy a swim in one of the swimming holes (weather permitting). On dusk enjoy a wine, beer and some cheese by the campfire while watching the goats with their kids play. Mountain bike the many trails or walk around at sunrise to spot the many birds, wallabies, possums and the occasional koala as we are wildlife habitat. We do have a Portable toilet onsite, however, no showers and campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. 1 Pet per site is welcome, however, must be kept on a leash and under owners' control at all times. We are located 15 minutes from Toowoomba for shopping, dining and 5 minutes to Withcott hotel or 10 to Murphy's Creek hotel both great country pubs. Children under 4 are free.

The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. My 100 acre grassland property is mostly natural ironbark grassland, bounded by the Condamine River to the east and the sealed Cullendore Road to the west. Grazing and farmland to the north and south. The nearest neighbours live a distance of approximately 1.5 km away, so peace and quiet is guaranteed. ALL Camping areas are accessible by small sedan type vehicles I encourage bikes and walking, over the entire property, but Motor Bikes, and rough FourWheel Driving are not allowed. The 4 Camping areas are: * RIVERSIDE.. 10 level camping sites are available, suitable for single campers, or family groups, right beside the Condamine River * RIVERCAMP another area of mostley level dispersed sites are avialable in close proximatiy to the River, scattered around the trees, and the Dam, but still having direct access to an open section of the river bank, for swimmimg, fishing or Kayaking * MIDCAMP.. 7 level sites approximatly 200 meters up from the Comdamine River, and overlooking (and access to) the rivercamp, surrounded by mature "Iron Bark" trees and grassland, Plus several more dispersed sites, suitable for all types of camping from Vans to Tents. This area also includes a small number of powered sites * TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles *Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own. *HOT Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites *Lots to see and experience in nearby Warwick and the Granite Belt. In August we Leyburn host The Historic Leyburn Sprints. Which consists of car time trials, markets, food and market stalls and entertainment at both licensed premises.

Weekend Trip to Rocky Creek Homestead

Me and my wife had our first Hipcamp experience at Tony’s place, and it was absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful and offers the perfect rural farm getaway. Peaceful, relaxing, and a wonderful escape from city life. Waking up to the sights and sounds of the countryside made us feel completely at home. Tony was an exceptional host. When I ran out of firewood and didn’t have any cash on hand, he was incredibly understanding, helpful, and flexible with arranging payment, which I greatly appreciated. Before leaving, I had the opportunity to meet Tony in person and enjoy a great conversation. During our chat, he casually pointed out a koala that had apparently been sitting right next to my tent all night. Somehow, I had completely missed it! We both had a good laugh about it, and it turned out to be the perfect ending to a memorable stay. Thank you, Tony, for your hospitality, kindness, and for helping me discover what was literally right under my nose 🐨. I highly recommend staying here and would gladly return in the future!

We had a good stay at Camping with Goats at Rocky Creek Homestead. The site was well spaced out, nicely presented and gave us plenty of privacy. The host left us alone to enjoy the stay without any interruptions, which we appreciated. Overall, a relaxed and pleasant camping spot.

Weekend Trip to Olive View Estate - Stunning Views!

Lovely large open space with trees for shade, nicely mowed, fire pits scattered around and lovely sunrise and sunset. Quaint shop on site for local delights. Close to Boonah, Kalbar, Logan’s Lookout, Elderflower Farm, Lavender Farm and Motorcycle Museum. Local pubs at Roadvale, Boonah & Kalbar were all great lunch venues to then enjoy a fireside afternoon & evening. The owner/operator came around in the afternoon to make sure everyone was ok. Cows and a couple of kangaroos provided nature up close. Thank you Kate

We thoroughly enjoyed our caravanning stay at Olive View Camping. The campsites are spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of room between each mown site for privacy and comfort. We had four vans spread across two adjoining sites, with our vans set up around one of the provided fire pits, and there was still more than enough space for everyone. It’s also extremely dog-friendly, making it a fantastic choice for travellers with furry companions.

Weekend Trip to Savvy Creek Farms

We brought our caravan to Savvy Creek Farms for a weekend while celebrating a family birthday up in Toowoomba. It was very handy to be able to go to town (about 20 mins for us) and then come back to some space, nature and slow camp mornings... Ben is a fabulous host, very responsive to messages and happy to stop for a little chat about his farm or animals. Amenities were great - flushing toilet and an ensuite (shower/toilet) near the house to use too. Clean and well maintained. Very generous opening their backyard and shed up for the young kids to play with lots of play equipment, trampoline, TV in the shed and their spa. Feeding time with the farm animals was great too! There is also a dam wirh kayaks but we didn't get to utilise those. We stayed at Campfire Flats woth power and water hookup and enjoyed a very flat grassy spot and big campfire space for when we had the family down for camp oven dinner. It is close to the new highway but we weren't really bothered by the road noises. Highly recommend for families, especially those with young kids. Thanks Ben for a lovely stay!

It was very relaxing at Rocky Creek. The goats, and highland cows Minnie and Maple were absolutely gorgeous and very well behaved. Winnie the dog was adorable and Tony and his wife were excellent hosts. Everyone was very friendly. We also saw a beautiful koala, a kangaroo and a small goanna while walking around the property. There was plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable and not have other campers on top of us. If they had showers and proper toilets I would have stayed forever!

We had a chill, peaceful time here. Property/ amenities were very clean and well taken care of. Tracy is so lovely to pop down and say hi and gave us some wood. Many families stayed so seemed like a popular spot for fam - if you want some absolute quite, this may not be the one. Very accessible, would rec for beginners/ quick/ easy trip :)
