Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS. The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. Sorry, no dogs are allowed as we have koalas and we are surrounded by National Parks Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Option 1: Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks . we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre. Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond. Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire; however, they do work out quite expensive, unless you are in a group and share the cost. Toilet hire is $200 for your stay. Please message to book a porta loo. Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged. No large items such as gazebos or mattresses to be placed in the bin provided. Dog friendly, however ALL dogs MUST be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY. Personal fire pits are NOT to be used. May be subject to fire bans. Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim. Please feel free to message prior to booking to ask any questions.

ABOUT Looking for a quiet, no-frills camping experience? Pointro Campsite offers spacious sites on the scenic banks of Maroon Dam in Queensland. With basic amenities—toilets, hot showers, and firepits—Pointro is perfect for those who want to reconnect with nature. Enjoy fishing, hiking, water sports, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. Our bunkhouse sleeps up to 36, ideal for youth camps and group retreats. No distractions. No crowds. Just the essentials—and the beauty of the outdoors. BOOKINGS Please note you cannot book out the entire campground. WATER There is no potable water at any of the sites. Bring your own. CARAVANS * Only 1 caravan per site allowed. BOATS Boat launch locations are available for campers at designated areas within the campsite and to comply with our SEQ Water licence: * No parking within 20 metres of the water. * Vehicles must stay on the designated road and cannot drive down to the boat ramp. * After launching, vehicles and trailers must be parked back up the hill within the Pointro boundary. * Marquees and similar structures must be at least 6 metres from the water’s edge. * Boats may be moored during the day but must be removed overnight. Breaches may result in fines from SEQ Water, which will be passed on to the responsible party. RULES - NO travelling in the back of boats, trailers, jet skis being towed - NO travelling in the in the back of utes. - NO trail bikes. - NO Smoking. - NO excessive noise and no noise after 10pm. - NO parties. - Do Not Empty waste water on the Ground. - Max 1 Caravan per Site - Report any damage, Incidents or Hazards immediately We reserve the right to ask guests to leave the property without refund if you or they fail to follow the rules or provide false or misleading information in their booking. Runner up for the best caravan spots in Australia 2024 - Hipcamp Award Logan Park Farm is an historic 4th generation family farm with beef cattle and cropping set on the Logan River with beautiful surroundings in the Scenic Rim. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010 and Acc21/0012 There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. Firewood is available please message if you require it. Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only. Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area. Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends. Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm. Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts. Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away food.

We camped at the Sunset Ridge site and would highly recommend. It was private and had great views. The kids loved the animal feeds and we loved waking up to cows at our campsite one morning. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at One Tree Hill (Moreton bay Ashgrove site). Guy and his family were very welcoming and the animals on their property were a really fun addition to the camping experience. Camp sites are far enough away from each other that you feel completely alone. We will definitely be back in the future.

Red Gum Hill was so private. We had two families with two vans and there was plenty of space. Cows came to visit in the morning and the views across the valley were stunning. The kids walked down to the homestead every morning and evening to help feed all the animals. They didn't want to leave 😂 Thanks so much for having us.

Nice and quiet plenty of animals, even though the goats got a bit Randy lolz but we really enjoyed our stay, firewood is cheap and there’s plenty of firewood around if you would like to have a fire for free. Showers, toilets available and everyone was nice and quiet. No complaints here

Excellent getaway. Very organised and carefree campsite. Paul and Tracey were terrific hosts, welcoming and went round offering ice and firewood on night 2. The goats and pigs were entertaining. We stayed towards the back of the campsite which we found more private and essentially had our own toilet and shower right by us.
