Nestled on the banks of Lynches Creek at the foothills of the Border Ranges National Park, this family-friendly campground is set on a working farm and offers a peaceful escape with space to breathe—and room for even the biggest vans. Choose from secluded creek-side sites or larger open areas ideal for groups, all surrounded by nature and filled with constant birdsong. Exclusive use can also be arranged for larger events. Perfect for retreats. Wander through the syntropic garden and admire the seasonal fruit, cast a line and try your luck at fishing, or—if you’re quiet and lucky—spot a platypus gliding through the water. Kayaking, abundant birdlife and bushwalks ranging from scenic trails around Mt Lion to the gentler Mt Lioness, there’s something here for every level of adventurer. Cool off with a paddle or swim in the refreshing creek, then gather around the fire to relax with family and friends, soaking up the serenity under the stars as the sun sets behind Mt Lion. Fire pits are provided, firewood is available for a small fee, and simple drop toilets are on site. For basic supplies or a great coffee, Wiangaree is just 10 minutes away, with Kyogle only 20 minutes away for everything else. The Border Ranges National Park offers countless tracks and trails to explore—discover waterfalls, swim in pristine streams, or enjoy a scenic 30min rainforest drive to the breathtaking Pinnacles Lookout. Please remember to take everything you bring in back out with you, helping to keep this special place beautiful and pristine.

We had a lovely time over Easter. With a large group of 15 there was plenty of space as we had booked all of the sites along the fence. Still olenty of room around even with all the other sites booked. The toilets were clean and not smelly. The creek was lovely and refreshing.

This is one of the best Hipcamps we have stayed at. Despite being Easter long weekend it was quiet, private and peaceful. A beautifully maintained area right on a lovely stretch of the creek where the kids could kayack and swim. We'd definitely come back again.

We loved Mt Lion farm stay. It was so very green and intimate with only 17 camp sites and great views of the Lynches Creek, Mt Lion and Razor back mountain. The vibe was warm with all campers and the hosts Leeza & Ares have a wonderful story to share and offer authentic hospitality. We will return, thank you for sharing you land with us.

Absolutely loved everything about our stay over Easter 2026. A stunning and beautifully maintained property & campsite. The hosts are gorgeous people and can’t do enough for you. So pleased to have found this gem! As we will be regulars for sure. It is fantastic to find a camp where we can let our dog roam safely off leash as all other campers and the hosts had friendly dogs. This is a big big deal for us! Thanks to you Leza and your lovely hubby (sorry we forgot his name). It was wonderful! We headed back to the Gold Coast meandering through the Border Ranges National Park and was a perfect way to our stay.

Our stay at Mt Lion Farm HipCamp was fantastic. The creekside campsite was peaceful, private, and incredibly refreshing—waking up to birdsong and the sound of running water each morning felt like a real reset & swimming in the waters of their crystal clear creek was refreshing and incredibly relaxing. With views of Mt Lion and the Border Ranges so close, it’s a pretty special setting. The hosts were warm and welcoming—Leza is easily the best host we’ve ever experienced on Hipcamp—everything was thoughtfully set up, including two well-maintained drop toilets. Being on a working farm with regenerative practices made it even more special—the landscape is thriving, with abundant food forests, wildlife, and butterflies everywhere you look. There’s a genuinely healing feeling staying at the farm. It’s by far one of our favourite campsites. Part of us wants to keep it a hidden gem, but it’s too good not to recommend. Thanks again to Mt. Lion Farm for such a memorable stay.

We had the place *almost* to ourselves and it was magic. With beautifully kept and maintained grounds, Leza is a deservedly houseproud Hipcamp host- super friendly and welcoming. Most sites are well marked and easy to find following the instructions provided. No phone coverage, but stunning view of the stars. I’m not sure I’d be such a fan when the grounds are fully booked - but we prefer fairly quiet and secluded areas, and there’s still way more space than a caravan park. Would be fun if you’re camping with friends in the next site over… The creek is cool and clear, lots of birds, happy cows, well mowed sites, rustic and clean composting loos (x2), and a lush environment. Would 100% stay there again!

Such a beautiful hip camp, so peaceful with no reception and just the sounds of the creek and birds chirping. The creek is so refreshing to have a dip and relax in! We only had one night here but will defiantly be back to stay a bit longer! Thanks so much for sharing this spot in such a beautiful part of the world.

This is by far our most favorite secluded camping spot. Quiet, peaceful, and beautifully tucked away at the bottom of Mt Lion. Waking up to beautiful birds and cows, fish leaping in the creek, open skies at night, the kind of calm we are all looking for. I spent the day swimming in the creek and walking around the properly, the grounds were beautifully maintained, with very clean toilets, a drop toilet and a compost. My husband and I had the whole place to ourselves, we were only planning on one night but stayed for two, if we had more time we would have stayed longer. Leza was so lovely and accommodating. We totally recommend this place 110% - we will be back for sure, with town just up the road and the magnificent Boarder Rangers National park to explore near by. I would only recommend boat/swimming shoes as the creeks rocks are a bit harsh underfoot, but I'm a sook lol

We loved spending a couple of nights at Mt Lion, it was utterly peaceful and relaxing. Parked up right next to the creek down the far side end; laying in the creek almost all day. Lots of turtles and fish popping their heads up further down stream. Liza was a wonderful host who was so welcoming - excited for her spot to be enjoyed by many !

It was an amazing place to stay. We love our stay easy access in and out of the property. Easy to find and only a short drive to go to the national parks for a day trip. The camp grounds are very well taken care of with clean toilets and water if needed. The creek was beautiful and clean and great place to cool off. We loved sitting and watching the wildlife and more. This is a wonderful place to stay for a a few nights or more. It is close to all sore of different places or just to sit back and relax for your stay. The host were very friendly and helpful with any questions on where to go. Also our dogs love the camp grounds and creek to play In. We loved or stay and will be back for another stay. Thank you 🤩
