Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.
All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee.
Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.
Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent.
Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.
Campers & Day Trippers Rules:
The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
It must be taken with you!
The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in
fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the
creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem!
Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set
up on top of other campers.
Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.
Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all
times.
No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users.
No antisocial behavior.
No camping on creek banks.
No playing around toilet block area.
No livestock to be kept on the park.
No cutting down trees.
No person to travel in the load area of vehicles.
No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between
your campsite and the road.
No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones
or fireworks allowed in the park.
No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek.
No washing dishes or clothing in creek.
No hitting of Golf balls.
No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok).
No swings to be tied to trees.
Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance
will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for
trespassing.
Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use
of the park.

There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property).
The property is just
5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.
Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace.
We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. Take a day trip to Byron Bay (50min) Brunswick Heads (40min) Mullumbimby (35min) Tyalgum (30min). 45mins from Gold Coast airport.

My 100 acre grassland property is mostly natural ironbark grassland, bounded by the Condamine River to the east and the sealed Cullendore Road to the west. Grazing and farmland to the north and south. The nearest neighbours live a distance of approximately 1.5 km away, so peace and quiet is guaranteed.

* MIDCAMP.. 7 level sites approximatly 200 meters up from the Comdamine River, and overlooking (and access to) the rivercamp, surrounded by mature "Iron Bark" trees and grassland, Plus several more dispersed sites, suitable for all types of camping from Vans to Tents.
This area also includes a small number of powered sites
* TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles
*Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own.
*HOT Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites
*Lots to see and experience in nearby Warwick and the Granite Belt.

For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

Currently access is 4WD recommended due to the steep terrain. Any towing MUST be done with a 4WD.
AWD and rear wheel drive vehicles are fine, though good idea to check with us FWD vehicles are NOT permitted. Good ground clearance is required

Logan Park Farm is an historic 4th generation family farm with beef cattle and cropping set on the Logan River with beautiful surroundings in the Scenic Rim.
The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property.
Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage.

There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not
book any of our sties.

Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later.
The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only.
Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area.
Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church.
A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River.
Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking)
Pet friendly off-grid camping.
All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes.
No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends.
Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm.
Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts.
Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away
food.

One Tree Hill was our first camping trip as a family of 5 (four kids) and we absolutely loved it!! The property was stunning and not too far from the GC (important for impatient kids 😅). The site that we booked was right next to the animal paddocks and ended up being the perfect spot. We were close to the bathroom/toilet and farm house, and further enough away that we still had the full camping experience. The animals, playground and creeks gave us so much to do and the kids are already asking to go back.
Next time we'll venture further back into more secluded paddocks.

Lovely location. The view was spectacular. Nice and spacious and we were away from the other camps.
The kids had a great time feeding the animals, would highly recommend getting a bucket of feed. Even when not feeding the kids were able to pat a few of the animal.
The host family were lovely and approachable.
Would recommend for a quick get away or a long stay

Set up at the curtain fig drive was very easy as it was just after the entrance. Beautiful place, friendly family. Great stories about all the rescue animals and animal feedings twice a day was lovely too. Plenty to explore around the property.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. We will definitely be back. The Mulberry Tree site was so quiet and spacious and the toilet was immaculate. We saw so much wildlife and the quiet at night was so appreciated. Jackie was so friendly and helpful with suggestions as soon as we arrived. The camp sites are well maintained and the creek was pristine.

Lovely spot a stones throw from home, tidy spacious camp spot by a creek, with fire pit and short walk to toilets. My 5 year old daughter loved the animals walking about, 3 donkeys, 3 very friendly dogs, and even some chickens by the cottage, my daughter didn't want to leave!

Had such a beautiful stay at Stonesthrow Elevated Remote Camp. The views from the elevated sites are absolutely stunning. It felt really peaceful and private, which is exactly what we were looking for.
The hosts were friendly and helpful, guiding us to our campsite and making sure everything was all good on arrival. You can tell they really care about the land and keeping it natural and respected.
Access is definitely 4WD only, so just be prepared for that, but it’s part of the adventure and worth it for the views. Loved how quiet and relaxed it was.
Stayed with my two dogs and they had the best time (on lead as required), enjoying the open space and fresh air.
Overall, such a special, peaceful place to slow down and disconnect. We’d definitely come back 🤍🐾

Really enjoyed our stay at Oz Sky Ranch lakeside!
We had an amazing stay at Campsite 3A. Lisa and Craig were incredibly friendly and hospitable.
The views were absolutely stunning, especially in the afternoons. The sunsets over the lake and the open sky at night made for a really special experience.
The facilities were great too. The porta-loo toilets were well maintained and kept clean, and the shower facility was modern, spotless, and just a short walk away.
Highly recommend this spot—we’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay in Lower Platypus. The site had ample sun and shade and plenty of space to play frisbee and petanque with our grandchild. We had fun looking for the platypus but no luck this time! This was the best hipcamp we’ve stayed at so far and we will be back:)

We were warmly welcomed and looked after. So stoked on our luck after a busy period with a pick of a shady and calm spot under the trees and a view of mountain ridges and over the creek. Our dog was able to roam and swim with other campsite dogs! Take water shoes and togs for a swim down near the bridge. Absolutely divine. We will be back!
