Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.
6 Kms in at our historic Childers there is a Woolworths, IGA, great pubs for lunch, cafes and bakeries, plus a swimming pool, museum, snakes down under and Woodgate beach 25 mins away.

Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities.
Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often.
Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding!
Looking for a special breakfast or brunch? Try Goody’s on the Beach, a 3-minute drive away at Toogoom for great waterside dining or Arkarra Gardens, 10 minutes away for a tropical rainforest dining experience.

Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.

Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often.
Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding!
Looking for a special breakfast or brunch? Try Goody’s on the Beach, a 3-minute drive away at Toogoom for great waterside dining or Arkarra Gardens, 10 minutes away for a tropical rainforest dining experience.

Lovely camp-site. Toilets and shower always kept very clean. Big open space. There were quite a few other campers but they were so far away it didnt matter.
Watching the bat migrations each night was surreal.
We didnt venture through the mangroves to swim/fish or go down to the boat ramp as most other campers had boats and we assumed it would be busy. But overall we had a lovely relaxing time. The dogs loved it.

We had a wonderful experience at Fig Tree Camp. The hosts are incredibly supportive, caring, and friendly, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The campsite is very clean, well-secured, and well-maintained, giving us great peace of mind throughout our stay.
The surroundings are absolutely picturesque — a beautiful natural location perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The friendly animals around the camp added a special touch, especially for families and nature lovers.
Everything was thoughtfully organized, and you can really feel the care the hosts put into the place. This is one of the best Hipcamp stays in Queensland, and we would love to visit again without hesitation.

The property was beautiful, maintained really well, camp grounds were spacious and well set out, plenty of shade too. Very peaceful and relaxing, great fishing from the pontoon on the incoming tide. Will definitely be visiting again.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful and so accommodating with any request! All of the animals are so beautiful and gentle (and super cute). The campsite was lovely and secluded. It was a great stop on our way to cairns and would definitely stay again!

My partner and I stayed here for two nights, and it’s a fantastic destination for those who love to explore, like us. The animals were a delightful addition to this beautiful land. Feeding time was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about them and definitely brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The two dogs were incredibly well behaved and even chose to sleep one night right next to our swag. Most importantly, we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived—the hosts were so lovely and made sure we enjoyed every moment of our weekend. The toilets were impeccably maintained and clean, and the shower exceeded our expectations, offering plenty of dry space for our clothes and toiletries.

Absolutely perfect spot. Not only is it well maintained, its set out that even if you were not the only campers there its extremely private. We were lucky enough to have the properly to ourselves.
Local cattle was pretty funny and exquisitive. Bugs are not even an issue with the creek being so close either.
Crabs in the creek, and even a few small cod and bream.
Owners were more than helpful with any questions and issues. Highly recommend and will return.

Chrissy and Duane were extremely hospitable and generous to my boyfriend and I on our one night stay on their farm. The land is beautiful and animals were so gentle. We had the opportunity to feed the highland cows and lambs, made a campfire amongst the beautiful scenery, and indulged in the gift shop too. I would highly recommend this site to families, couples, and single travellers. Anyone would be able to find beauty here and I am sure we will revisit again!
