How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.

We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim.
The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.

One booking covers 4 people (no matter how many set ups/caravans/tents you have) You can pick wherever in the paddock that you'd like to set up - there are no pre allocated spots and you will be able to pick a private spot.

Olive View Estate is a stunning 35 acre 700 tree working olive farm and guest stay accommodation. We have two paddocks on the back of the olive grove with breath-taking views.
Enjoy a walk through our gardens and olive grove. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples.
This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy.
We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more.
We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm.
We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim.
The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.
We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

Absolutely beautiful campsite. We stayed at Grey Gum and were surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Guy is very welcoming and responsive to messages. The sites are enormous, well maintained and incredibly private. We had two small kids and they had the best time - we loved feeding all the rescue animals, and Guy was really flexible about arranging a last-minute pony ride for my kids. Will definitely be back.

We stayed with our child at Kathryn and Phillip's cabin. Everything was amazing, every detail is thought through. The area is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It was very relaxing.
Lots of different areas at the garden for kids, amazing crafts as well. A lot of energy and love put into this place and you can definitely see and feel it!

We absolutely loved camping at One Tree Hill! The property is beautiful and so well maintained. The sites are spacious and make you feel like you’re the only one there. Guy is an awesome host and was really helpful. We LOVED all the rescue animals and seeing them get their morning and afternoon feeds each day. We can’t wait to go back!

We had such a peaceful stay here and honestly didn’t want to leave. The property is beautiful, with plenty of space and a really calm, relaxing feel.
Camped here with my two dogs and it was perfect for them, open space to explore, quiet surroundings, and they settled in so easily.
The views were stunning, especially during sunset, and it was just one of those places where you can fully switch off and slow down.
We’d definitely come back again 🐾🤍

We absolutely loved camping at Kezza & Dave's land. We ended up being at the powered site by the tank, site 5, which was great as it was quiet and private. Kezza & Dave were fantastic and always available if we needed anything. Kezza took us on a farm tour and we learnt so much, this was a highlight of our trip. They also had the kindest dog, Marley, who always stopped in for a daily visit. Even though it was just my husband and I we couldn't help but cook enough food for 3, as Marley is just the sweetest and enjoyed Hubbys bbq meat. Was thankful that we had bug spray as the mozzies were relentless, but that's the normal with bush camping. Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back. Thanks Kezza & Dave for being amazing!

We had a great time staying on Kezza's farm. Kezza and Dave were kind and communicative, It was quiet and peaceful, our kids enjoyed seeing cows, sheeps, horses (on the neighboring lot) and lots of kangarooes. Kezza gave us a tour of the farm, teaching about the farm's produce. The location is excellenct, close to thunderbird park and the rainforest walk.

Booked last minute and on a public holiday, Guy was a very responsive host and was there to see us check in. We stayed at the sunset ridge site which was a private, very well kept nature retreat, we missed sunset but waking up in the sunny morning overlooking the mountains was beautiful. We also got to be apart of feeding all the rescue farm animals he has which was my favourite part of the stay. Couldn’t recommend this hipcamp more!

Where to go
Tamborine National Park
About 30 kilometres west of Cedar Grove, Tamborine National Park beckons with some of the best views of the Gold Coast hinterlands. Encompassing Witches Falls, Queensland’s first national park, Tamborine National Park offers vast systems of rainforest, woodlands, and other plant communities for campers to explore along walking tracks and forest trails for horseback riding. While the park does not permit camping, private campgrounds around Tamborine Mountain welcome tent campers, caravanners, and glampers. Amenities at nearby campsites include flushing toilets, firepits, and pet-friendly day areas, as well as hookups for motorhomes.
Nerang National Park
Nerang National Park is another Gold Coast gem for campers to explore. Take bushwalks and horse rides through the park’s eucalypt forests and rainforests. Best known for its mountain-biking opportunities, the park offers shared trails, including 20 designated cycling trails for all experience levels. Nerang doesn’t allow camping, though the surrounding area provides numerous holiday and camping accommodations for tents and caravans. Amenities include BBQs, laundromats, and free wifi, along with both powered and unpowered sites.
Lamington National Park
Officially designated as one of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, Lamington covers over 20,000 hectares of ancient forests and waterways. Traverse an extensive network of walking tracks to fully explore the grounds, from Gwongoorool to Python Rock. Along with opportunities for remote bushwhacking, Lamington’s designated camping area includes 24 tent or swag sites, 21 campervan sites, and 17 safari tents with shared ensuite pods. A wheelchair-accessible amenities block also includes nine toilets and 10 showers. Check out the communal kitchen, communal fire pit, and community hub to meet the neighbours.
When to go
Due to its year-round temperate weather, it’s always a good time to camp near Cedar Grove. The peak season tends to be summer when average highs hover around 30°C with high humidity and some precipitation. The off-season in Cedar Grove still sees plenty of activity as campers enjoy the sights without the heat. Winter sees an average high of about 22.5°C with chillier temperatures at night.
