Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area.
Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay.
We are new to HipCamp so have limited facilities at present, but they are in progress and we have loads of space per site, comfortable, and lots to offer for those wanting to reconnect with Nature. If you know what ley-lines are - this is the right place to visit ;-)

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.
All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area.
Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.

We absolutely loved camping at Kezza & Dave's land. We ended up being at the powered site by the tank, site 5, which was great as it was quiet and private. Kezza & Dave were fantastic and always available if we needed anything. Kezza took us on a farm tour and we learnt so much, this was a highlight of our trip. They also had the kindest dog, Marley, who always stopped in for a daily visit. Even though it was just my husband and I we couldn't help but cook enough food for 3, as Marley is just the sweetest and enjoyed Hubbys bbq meat. Was thankful that we had bug spray as the mozzies were relentless, but that's the normal with bush camping. Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back. Thanks Kezza & Dave for being amazing!

Kezza and Dave were kind and communicative, It was quiet and peaceful, our kids enjoyed seeing cows, sheeps, horses (on the neighboring lot) and lots of kangarooes. Group trip
We had a group of families with kids and Dogs over the Easter break and it was a fantastic camp spot. It has everything for the parents and kids, Nice flat ground to set up and a great spot on the creek for the kids to spend all day playing around which gave us adults to be able to take in the peaceful surroundings and watch the world go by listening to the running creek. Having this camp site separate was great as we had heaps of space for the caravans and for everyone to kick a footy and a game of cricket not having to stress about cars and other camper driving through. Great to have the toilet on site and great camp fire area overlooking the creek and to watch the stars at night. We will definitely be back as its so close to us yet a world away when your camped up. Thanks Patrick and Tom for a great spot and the great communication.

We enjoyed Camping at Riverside Campsite. It was a quiet, private campsite, which we love. It was in a picturesque location and very well suited for a 2WD or AWD. It was also centrally located to enjoy the beaches and waterways of Coolangatta down to Kingscliff. Alana was a great communicator but also gave us full privacy. Perfect camping site.

Weekend Trip to Tallebudgera Veg Sanctuary.
The cabin was amazing! I really felt so in tune. No electricity up there means you get to really delve into nature, no distractions! The fireplace was phenomenal and the view was stunning. Definitely need a 4WD to get up there especially if it’s just rained. Quick drive down to the toilet, showers and electricity to charge my belongings. The temple was beautiful and there were so many peacocks everywhere! Doctor T was very friendly and I got to explore a lot of the property. Highly recommend going on the rope swing at the river if you’re game.

Lovely site out the back of the property away from everyone. Close to the swimming section of the creek with a nice fire pit and places to hitch a tent or rooftop.

This campsite truly exceeded my expectations. Surrounded by stunning natural scenery, it offers a perfect balance between wilderness and comfort. The facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained, making the stay very convenient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The thoughtfully designed walking tracks made exploring the area enjoyable and accessible. Having a cozy café nearby was a great bonus, adding to the overall relaxing experience.

Beautiful location next to the creek, took a bit to get there but instructions worked well and access was fine. Only a few campers on a Sunday, super quiet apart from the cows!

Nice spot. Private. But at time couldn’t really swim in water hole. And was still not directly near campsite. Campsite still nice though. Very private. Especially if no other campers . Some slight non nature sounds at time but otherwise pleasant.
