Wake to the sound of flowing water and birdsong, explore the creek beds, spot turtles and kingfishers, or simply relax under the shade of old trees with the hills behind you. There’s plenty of room to spread out, unwind, and enjoy a secluded nature stay while still being only a short walk to Stanley’s barn restaurant and the Gold Coast Car Museum or short drive to Tamborine Mountain, all the theme parks and beaches giving you quick access to every thing the Gold Coast has to offer. Perfect for families, couples, or intrepid traveler's looking for a peaceful base with space, privacy and fresh country air. Wongawallan creek is a freshwater running creek, our beautiful section has deep and shallow sections making it perfect for families . Wongawallan creek, according to ecological surveys, is home to several iconic species including platypus and river bass both of which have been spotted from the camps. Do you also enjoy bird spotting? We have seen black cockatoos, asure kingfishers, king parrots and even endangered striated pardolotes. So bring your binoculars, towels, floaties and enjoy the fresh air and wildlife while still having quick access to the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast ! We look forward to hosting you at our little piece of paradise 🏕️🏔️🙂 Please note the property is best accessible by 4wd due to a steep driveway access. The property is beautiful and quiet and the creek is perfect for swimming. Campsites are also spread out well for privacy.

Would recommend for location if you are largely self-contained in 4wd and want a getaway under an hour from Brisbane and Gold Coast or accommodation near theme parks. Excellent swimming creek Uncrowded Helpful owner A bit of road noise during day and early evening

Creekside Camping #1

After spending a week in the sands of K’gari, it was a pleasant change to spend some time on the luscious green grasses of Creekside, Chris was easy to talk to and a very welcoming host, the creek was a blessing in the morning once I had packed up my site, a nice lazy swim to cool off. Another bonus is the composting toilet, a must for camping. Will definitely recommend and will come back when next in the area. Thanks Chris

I stayed at this new HipCamp site this week. I would highly recommend this new beautiful site and Chris the host was friendly and accommodating. I had the pick of the sites with mine backing on to the creek/river. The camping areas are flat and grassed and well maintained. The location of the property is only 20 mins from the main theme parks on the Gold Coast, but you are camping in a lust hinterland which is quiet and peaceful. The access road from the main road is slightly steep down to the camp sites but manageable. Again would recommend to all… even though at this stage limited reviews. I will be back again.
