A great adventure!
We had a great time! There were spots cleared and fire rings built, but we made our own spot! We had a hanging tent and we were able to find a few sturdy pinyon trees to set up. The reservoir was beautiful and very close to camp. Overall it was a great adventure! (P.s.- close toed shoes! Lots of cacti!)
Awesome stay! Beautiful land, views, and campsite. Great central location for various hikes, The Sand Dunes, and all kinds of outdoor fun. Robert was super welcoming, knowledgeable, and a fantastic host. Will definitely be back!
A gem in the desert
This place is a gem in the desert. Very quiet and peaceful. Great views and the Milky Way is visible at night.
Warning for dogs: the terrain is very cactus laden and shoes are a must!
Beautiful place to rest!
Wonderful 2 nights under the stars.
Man what a great couple nights. Nearby reservoir to take a dip. Shade by Pinyon Trees. Took a hike up the Messa. Great spot with a nice fire pit. R.H. Was super friendly dropped off fire wood & and gave us recommendations on where to get some food and where to grab some sand boards to rent. This was our first HipCamp experience and went smooth as silk.
Great spot. Very close to the dunes and Zapata Falls. RH was great. Met me as I pulled up, brought me extra firewood. The views from the site were amazing. Quiet, I slept like a rock.
Gorgeous location. I wish I could post pictures. If you are looking for a camping site in a unique biome with no bugs, amazing flora, and views that will make you slap yourself and say “are my eyeballs really working?” then sign up.
