Our property has a meadow, a small forest and a seasonal creek. There are still old mine tailings that you will find throughout. There are tent sites in the Fairy Forest or if you can handle a little bit of off-roading, we built a road to the meadow, which has some places to park your rig & camp next to the seasonal creek. There is an outhouse that we built down by the meadow, centralized to all of the sites. As far as wild life goes, we have a flock of turkeys, a fox or two, and some deer that like to visit. You may also see our two cats or chickens wandering around. We ask that you drive slowly through the property & be mindful of our little critters!

Site 1 is tucked behind the fairy forest, which is filled with old growth Madrones. You can hammock in the forest or set up camp behind it.

Jeep Road Site

This site is tucked into the far side of the property, just on the other side of the jeep road we made. The road will take you to the meadow and our seasonal creek. It’s also the roundabout way to get to the outhouse.

Spiral Meadow

This Meadow is a favorite of the property. It is a bit rocky, left overs from the mining tailings, which makes it ideal for parking a camping rig. We have a seasonal creek that passes through just on the other side, and the outhouse is located in this area as well. You do have to be willing to do a bit of off-roading to get to it.

Spiral Meadow
We had a nice stay there. The area is great! Plenty of amenities in Jacksonville and Phoenix. Great kayaking at Applegate Lake about a half hour away. Spiral Meadow is idyllic. Peaceful, quiet except for the birds singing. There’s lots of room for a couple of small rigs. The outhouse is clean and cute, well appointed with necessities. Getting to the site would require a decent-sized vehicle, able to handle some off-roading. There is a short, steep hill to climb just before the site. The owner, Reese, was accommodating and helpful. She responded quickly to messages.

Fairy Forest Tent Site
We appreciated the proximity to Jacksonville and surrounding hiking. The meadow was very nice, and the composting toilet was very clean. There is a bit of road noise, but it wasn't too distracting. If you're a light sleeper, just be aware. The hosts had cornhole out for us to play, which we had a lot of fun! We recommend the area if you're looking to zip into town easily!
