Our campsite only accommodates one guest at a time. When you book your dates, you will be the only guest on site and get the whole property to yourself. Our campsite offers privacy that you cannot get at a traditional campground. We provide full electricity, septic, and water hookups for campers. We now offer free fiber internet with your stay. The property has a private boat ramp/ driveway that leads to the water for launching boats, kayaks, swimming and easier fishing access. Our riverbank is a gradual, sandy slope that is perfect for swimming and kayaking in the summer months. The campsite offers a swing set, charcoal grill, picnic table, saucer swing, 2 kayaks with lifejackets, and firewood so campers can relax by the fire and enjoy watching the wildlife. INCLUDED WITH YOUR STAY: 2 kayaks and 2 paddles will be included during your entire stay. Please only use them at our campsite. Please wear your lifejacket while swimming and kayaking. NOTE: The river levels are controlled by the Great Falls Dam in Rock Island. During the months of October- early May, the water levels drop 20ft to prevent flooding. Note: Cell service is spotty for Verizon and very scarce for AT&T. We are just a few miles from Highway 111 and minutes from downtown Sparta. Surrounded by Fall Creek Falls State Park, Lost Creek Falls and Cave, Rock Island State park, Burgess Falls State Park, and Virgin Falls. Our campsite is minutes from Lost Creek Falls and Cave with a beautiful scenic drive through the back roads of White County. We have two amazing overlooks in White County: Welch's Point and Sunset Rock that pictures do not do justice! White County has more caves, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks per square mile than anywhere else in the United States. We are a bustling town with so much recreation, history, and culture that it has to be shared! We have stayed at Campsite on the Caney for two years in a row now on our rv travels from the Uk. It’s a fantastic site on a beautiful stretch of the river. Cameron is an excellent host, ensuring everything is ready for you before you arrive. Water, electric, sewer and wifi. Kayaks there to go out on the water in, BBQ grill and fire pit, picnic table, swinging seat. We visited in May/June and the fireflies in the evening were beautiful. Our children (and us!) thoroughly enjoy staying here and wouldn’t hesitate in booking again on our next visit over to the States

The spot is very well maintained and everything works great. All of the things they’ve put in like the table, swings, fire pit, landscaping and trees, boat launch, water, lock box, and high speed wifi add something to the place and stay. The pull through was super easy, and our 23’ camper took very little leveling. It was a great spot for our family of 2 toddlers, 2 goldens, and 2 parents.

My family and I had a wonderful time camping here!! Host communicated well and was very responsive. This is a beautiful site; the river was clear and we enjoyed kayaking with the kayaks provided plus we brought our own. The sandy beach was a great spot for the kids, plus they enjoyed the swing. Like others have mentioned, you are right on a road, however it is a very rural area with little traffic. Our kids were even able to ride their scooters on it at various times of day. I really can’t say enough good things; it is 10/10 and highly recommend this camping spot. We plan to return.

This was so awesome! Grandma took two 13 yr old boys who live to fish and it was fantastic! They had a great time and I loved the swing!! So relaxing. Cameron is a great hostess. I highly recommend this spot.

Campsite on the Caney Rocks!!

We originally booked for us and another family and because some rough weather, it ended up being just my husband and me. This site is so peaceful! We only saw one car while we were there. Cameron is a wonderful host with great communication! You can tell this site is well cared for! Everything about it was great! The site was freshly mowed when we arrived and the wifi was a great plus since there is no cell service (T-Mobile). There was also access to firewood, which was perfect for an evening fire. We used the kayaks to float the river and even with the lower river levels, it was amazing! We have already booked another trip in the fall!! This will definitely become one of our regular spots!

This is a pretty, clean spot right on the river. As other reviews mention, the main camp “hang out” area is right next to a road, but we saw less than 5 cars all weekend, so wasn’t an issue for us. We had two families tent camping and there was plenty of space to spread out and let the kids play. We had a great stay, and enjoyed the thoughtful touches like a swing, water close by, fire ring, WiFi and power outlets. Sweet little spot!

Great set up for travel trailer. Super easy access to the river and loved having kayaks on site for use. River is far enough away from picnic table/camper area, didn’t have to stress about kids getting in water while cooking dinner or anything. Right off the road but it’s a very quiet road (maybe 4 cars went by that I noticed over the weekend). Convenient and fast WiFi (which was nice since no cell service for us). Host was communicative and had firewood prepped, kept a very clean site. Great spot!

Cameron has done an excellent job creating an amazing campsite. It has everything to make sure you are comfortable. The WiFi works great, she had tubes and kayaks. The waters are calm and make it great for floating and relaxing. Being able to allow our dogs off leash was the best. They were able to run and play all week. Cameron is also quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Riverside Site

If you are looking for a peaceful and secluded place to camp, this is it. The property is absolutely beautiful and it’s all yours. It has easy access to the river with kayaks and tubes available. The camp site has full hookups and high speed wifi. The site was just a bit uneven but nothing a few wheel blocks can’t handle. The picnic table, grill, and swings are all in excellent condition. Communication was great and Cameron was very informative and responsive. I would definitely recommend anyone to camp here. It’s possibly the best place we have camped. We will definitely be back.

Cameron takes excellent care of her property and it has all the amenities. I couldn’t ask for more. The location is out in the country and the setting, just awww. She has kayaks for you to use, , tubes to float, corn hole, bbq pit and a fire pit with a swing next to it for taking in Mother Nature. She had a binder with different things to visit while in the area. I’ll definitely be returning if she’ll have me . This is a camp you will not regret visiting. Thank you Cameron

We absolutely LOVE getting away a few days and staying here. It's only an hour from home, but seems like a different world......quiet, peaceful, serenity......it's all here! The new wifi is the icing on the cake! Cameron is a great host and very accomodating. Can't wait til next visit.

The site is just a few miles off a highway. Super private, quiet, clean, peaceful. The grass was freshly mowed. Cameron has the site decorated nicely with a swing, large picnic table, bird feeders, 2 kayaks and tubes. The land is beautiful. Perfect for a camper and smaller motor home. You could bring a boat to launch and have guests. Sparta is also a charming town.

We absolutely LOVE camping at Cameron's site. It's a nice little get-away with all the needed accessories on-site. We are a little stingy to share or secret hide-out, because the calendar is always full.....but we know other will love it too.

I did not want to let another year go by without leaving a review for this place! Stayed there last year had an amazing time, stayed again this year just as amazing. My husband and I would ride our bikes in the morning as there are great roads to ride on and trails. And in the evening, we would take the kayaks out on the river. I have to mention the fireflies are amazing, quite the show. I have to add on a sidenote that I did see a dog being chased by a turkey. I had a good laugh over that one. Can’t wait till next time thank you Cameron! You’re an amazing host!!

Serene and remote on the River

Really remote and serene campsite right on the river. All the hookups are available by the road and was easy to pull our rv trailer in and out. They also have a swing, grill, kayaks, floats, and life jackets. However, there was no cell service at the site but we drove up the road a little ways to make a call or quick text if needed. Overall a great experience and will come again.

Beautiful site with the swings that are provided, large grassy lawn, and “beach” area on the river!! Bring a few chairs down and sit by the river, watch the kids swim, fish, or go out on a kayak. Two kayaks were provided and life jackets, we also brought our own inflatable kayak. It worked very well at the location getting in and out of the water. Courteous host, clean spot with all the rv hookups, and spot for a tent too. It a much needed get away for some outdoor time.

Better Than You Can Imagine!

This site lives up to all the positive reviews, and then some! I'm not sure where to start -- it's a gorgeous site with lots of space and private access to the river. Be sure to check out the binder in the chest of supplies/extras they stock for you. It has excellent local insights to all the best spots to check out, including strenuous activities, easy beautiful spots to access, and local restaurants/breweries. Note you do need a permit to access the cave they mention, but it's easy enough to apply online (do this before you go because you won't have service). The hosts were more than accommodating, highly responsive, and just all around good people. I'd definitely love to come stay again and hit some additional spots. Thanks for everything, Cameron!
