Black Creek Maple Off Grid Camp

Our group and dog camped at site 8 and could not have been happier with our stay. Diane was kind and accommodating, but also allowed us plenty of privacy. They have a nice comfort station with soap and water. The only thing I would change is that I will need to bring an awning or something to provide shade during the day. The sun in the early afternoon is aggressive in the summer months! I will definitely camp here again!

Rainy weekend away

This was our second time at Black Creek and once more, it stole our hearts. It is a stunning, well-kept location right in the heart of so much outdoor recreation and good food! Sadly, the rain prevented us from tent camping but Dianne was quick to help us modify our trip to stay in the cabin. While primitive, it was perfect for a weekend away. The rain was so peaceful on the metal roof. Best off grid bathroom by far. Be sure to get some maple syrup!

Worth returning to!

The sign of a great spot to stay is when you start thinking of reasons to return. That is what I found with Dianne's place. Instead of staying in tent site 7, I was able to shift into one of the cabins. It was cozy, with enough room to feel right at home, and very clean. The futon was fantastic. I've never been on such a plump, comfortable futon mattress. And my night's sleep was just what I needed. I also liked having a covered porch to sit on when an evening shower arrived suddenly. I took advantage of Dianne's add-on of morning muffins. Score! Delicious and a perfect complement to morning coffee with maple syrup. The pit toilet is clean and appropriate for a camping experience. Another plus is the proximity to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is great for cyclists. You can reach the trail in about three minutes. My short ride was on packed, pea-sized gravel. I don't have any further experience with the trail, but it's bound to be worth a longer go. Thanks Dianne. See you soon.

Private trails (and turkeys)

I camped in my vehicle on Dianne’s land. Both her and her husband are very sweet and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. There’s also very cool trails on the land and turkeys to wake up to. Would definitely stay again!

This was an amazing spot! We had spot 5 on the top of the hill I’m pretty sure. Whole place to ourselves. Out in the middle of nowhere. The stars were amazing at night and the views of them mountains during the day! Recommend this stay

Dianne’s property is stunning! Our site had just enough space for three 3-4 person tents and two hammocks! Best compost toilet I’ve seen in years also! Dianne was super generous and brought us some cinnamon rolls in the morning! I’m very excited to return to this spot.

Site 6 - Black Creek's Tent Haven

The campsite was beautiful and the directions were clear. Site #3, where we set up, our tent was pretty steep, but we made it work. My kids loved exploring the fields and the trees- we saw a porcupine grubbing in the grasses! The compost toilet, although shared amongst all the campsites, was very well maintained and comfortable (we did bring our flashlights in with us). Dianne was very communicative and met us at the site to show us around. She even brought us cinnamon rolls as a friendly wake-up treat. We asked for a tour of the maple syrup facility, which was super cool and interesting. I would highly recommend Dianne's camp- especially in warmer weather (It was quite chilly the night we were there). The Autumn mountain views were wonderful!

Was in spot 6, was close to the woods and had semi flat spot for a tent. It was a beautiful view to wake up to. We got in late so didn’t see the host that night, but they drove down to say hi the next morning which was very nice. There’s one outhouse/sink for all the spots and it was further away from our spot, so we didn’t use the toilet or water.

Lovely little spot, highly recommend! The compost toilet is kept super clean and fresh and the area is so beautiful. Dianne hand delivered us coffee in the morning, and even surprised us maple cinnamon rolls since we were staying the last day of the camping season! We’ll definitely be back next year :)

Great campsites in a beautiful location! Dianne was so helpful and accommodating, and the muffins were delicious. Recommend site 7 if sleeping in a car or van- it’s pretty flat. Beautiful views all around, and the outhouse and wood was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dianne's. The campsite we chose was private and had a great view. The amenities listed were present and in good order. We found lots to do in the area and it was beautifully located near idyllic Jeffersonville and not far from smugglers notch which had great hiking. I would suggest that you speak to dianne about which sites to choose on her land since some are much better than others. A table at the site would have made it perfect but five stars nonetheless, would absolutely recommend and will be back ourselves.

We had a great experience and the host, Dianne, was very friendly. The only negative point is that Site 4 has a pretty steep slope for tents, we brought 2 tents but ended up using only one because of the slope. Site #5,#6,#7 and #1 are better choices for tents. Other than the small cabins, Site #1 is the closest to the toilet.

Rainy but wonderful

My family loved camping on Diannes property. It rained our entire trip so we missed out on the views but it was still an amazing space. Very private and peaceful. We chose to add muffins and coffee as add-ons and we are so thrilled we did. They were amazing and the perfect start to the day in a rainy tent. The maple syrup is delicious. My boys ran around in the grass even in the rain and had the time off their lives. I would highly recommend this property and we hope to get back here again, in the sun :)

Best Blueberry Pancakes-great stay!

Dianne’s place was wonderful! It was beautiful, quiet, and she was an amazing host. The site was clean and cozy, easy to get to but also close enough to town so we could bike to stores, food joints and more. The blueberry pancakes were, no exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had!! We will definitely be going back, and highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Black Creek's Maple Retreat

This was the perfect spot and Dianne is an amazing and gracious host. She was extremely flexible and supportive for our check in and check out process (we traveled from southeastPa). Our trip up was to see my newest baby niece and we needed a place close by to stay- the camp, amazingly quiet and off the beaten path was literally 10 minutes to our niece, shopping and host of other cool things to see and do!! Warm blueberry muffins!

We really enjoyed staying at Dianne's place. There were beautiful views of the mountains from our spot. Dianne has a great set-up, with an outhouse and place to wash hands and dishes. She also has great add-on options available, including breakfast or warm blueberry muffins delivered right to your site! We chose the muffins, which were delicious! But the best thing about Dianne's place was Dianne. She was so warm and kind.
