Our property has 187 acres to explore and hiking trails. There is an 8-acre pond for fishing (catch and release), paddleboats, kayaks and Jon boats. There is no charge to use our paddleboats, kayaks, or Jon boats. In Stewartstown and the surrounding area, guests have so many natural attractions to visit, including Beaver Brook Falls and Lake Francis, both within 15 miles of the Ladd Pond. The Washburn Family Forest nearby is the perfect place to go for a hike through nature and spot local wildlife. For an action experience, guests can try the ATV trails or the exciting snowmobile trails in winter. Close to ATV trails and direct access to Snowmobile trails.

Surrounded on three sides by two brooks and the Dog River, our property covers a bit more than one acre in size. It is situated on a residential road in Riverton (or West Berlin), VT, near route 12, just six miles south of Montpelier, and four miles north of Northfield. So it's rural, but still very close to grocery shopping and laundromat. We have electrical hook-up available. From mid-July through late October, there is WIFI available although the signal is not strong up by the electrical hook-up. It's strongest towards the river. Mountain bike trails are close by. Boyer State Forest is two miles away (for hiking and biking). Norwich University, five miles away in Northfield, has hiking and biking trails. Ellie's Farm Market (one mile distance) has local organic produce in season as well as local cheese and maple products. NOTE: Previous campers have suggested that future campers NOT use Crosstown Road to get here, no matter what your GPS says. One weather event makes it VERY unfriendly to RV's.

Great tent camping experience. Quiet, great walking trails, amazing views, Surrounded by gardens, apple trees, grazing cows and you will be among several old historic buildings and farming implements from 1800's. I real bargain for the price! I went on a Monday into Tuesday when the museum and buildings were closed, this made for a private quiet experience. If you go during open times or peak summer/ fall times you may see more tourists passing through. Look forward to going again!

Stayed 3 days in my suv and was inspired by the scenery, trails and hospitality. There is limited shade so I would bring a tent for my vehicle next time. Great place for photography and picturesque sunrises and sunsets. Can’t beat the price!

Loved this spot. Diane met us upon arrival, showed us everything we needed, suggested places nearby to eat, things to see and gave us our choice of spots. The sites are spacious, well maintained and some with direct access to the river. Great fishing by the way. It’s quiet, peaceful, beautiful setting and only a short walk into town. Weekend Trip to Champion Meadow Campground

This was a last minute booking. There was a ownership change and we hit the "grand opening" where there was evening fireworks display. For a small town campground it was better then some big city displays we have seen. My 8 year old grandson loved it. It wasn't our usually camping style as it was a campers in a huge circle in a opening field, with the river flowing behide each camper. Fishing was great and cant compain. We did wish we had a picnic table as others had for paying full price. Also dogs on leash wasnt enforced. So there was a German Shepard off leash, it was friendly, but a bit scary when a strange dog runs at you at your not sure. It was fine but... Also had a lab swim across the river to investigate our camp. Owners called it and it swam back. Not really the campgrounds fault but again scary as dogs are always unpredictable no matter how well trained. overall a good stay, as we even stayed another day because the fishing was good. Very nice and friendly new owners. We'll be back. Ill just pick a site that has a picnic table. .

Very pleasant place to tent out for a night or two. The host was very kind in letting me get in pretty late and I’m pretty sure I parked in the wrong spot but they were very cool about it. Highly recommend
