We operate a small working farm on our 50 acre property. Approximately 7 acres is cleared fields where we grow hemp, pigs and chickens. We are at the end of a dirt road with private access and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We have two private tent platforms located in a mature mixed hardwood forest on our 50 acre property, as well as one van/small camper/car camping site located on the edge of our field.
Each tent platform site includes an elevated and level 10'x12' cedar tent platform, a picnic table, and more privacy than the car camping site. Parking is less than a 1 minute walk from the platforms down a well maintained woods road and gorilla carts are available to help haul your gear.
Many guests who wish to stay right next to their cars choose to car camp on the edge of the field in the car camping site, either pitching a tent or spending the night in their small camper. The views from this site are breathtaking, but it has less privacy as it is located next to the communal firepit, and amidst our working farm so we will occasionally be around doing chores, (the chickens and pigs are early risers).
The communal fire pit has a great view and a few chairs are provided. Seasoned firewood is available for purchase, and we ask that you please do not harvest or burn your own wood off the property. Potable drinking water and a portable toilet are also available onsite for our guests. Well behaved pets are welcome, but must remain on a leash to ensure they do not disturb our plants or farm animals. We are at the dead end of a gravel road and can guarantee complete privacy and seclusion if you are looking to get away from it all, yet still be located conveniently within 10 minutes of Lyndonville, 15 minutes to Kingdom Trails and East Burke, 20 minutes to Lake Willoughby, and at the doorstep to the beautiful wilderness of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom!

There's a chance you may see a fox, black bear, moose or even a bobcat! We ask that food is secured in your vehicle and not brought into the bell tents, for your own safety. We do have a basket of safety equipment in each tent. The basket contains bug spray, bear horn, simple first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a flash light.

Moose, bear, deer, coyote, snowshoe hares, grouse, woodcock, wild turkey and bobcat, can be seen occasionally as you explore this upland forest and the bottom lands heading down to the Victory Bog, a pristine wetland areas, known for canoeing, bird watching. Kayakers and campers can experience white white water during high water seasons on the Moose River which flows by the bog.
The access road to the campsites through the field is rough. Vehicles with extra clearance are recommended.
Campers should come prepared with fly, mosquito, tick repellents without which you will be literally eaten alive in June and July. After mid-August the insects are less vexing.
Obtain drinking water from our office manager at 2428 Victory Hill Rd. and bathe somewhere in Weir Mill Brook, 1/2 mile from the campsite - if you need to get clean. Loud partying is discouraged after 11:30pm.

Over time, we built 2 greenhouses, a large equipment shed, planted and fenced an orchard and berry garden, a large vegetable patch, made several flower gardens, set up systems for pasturing sheep and chickens, planted native shrubs and trees, and completely renovated the farmhouse. We practice organic regenerative agriculture and landscaping, with a deep commitment to strengthening and diversifying ecological systems. This beautiful, historic property was one of the first to be settled in the early 1800s. The credited first settler in Charleston, Vermont; Abner Allyn and his family owned this farm for 100 years!

This 150-acre property has been in our family for 32 years and now houses three generations.
Built in 1900 it was a traditional dairy farm until the 50's and 60's when potatoes were planted on the fields for the Boston and New York markets. By the 70's and 80's it became a gentleman's farm for a retired couple from New York City and the dairy farmers nearby hayed the fields. When we purchased the property in 1993 we continued offering the hay, built greenhouses, planted vegetable and flower gardens, ran a traditional Bed and Breakfast, now airbnb. We leased some of the fields to a local organic seed company for 13 years until they purchased their own property. The farm remains certified organic and is still being hayed by a local dairy farm, the gardens are community managed using regenerative and sustainable practices when ever possible. In the commercial garden, seed crops are being planted once again. Much of the cultivated agricultural land is protected under the Vermont Land Trust, to ensure that it remains used for agricultural purposes.
We love to share our farm and forest with others. In addition to our very intentional farming operations, you can find wild edibles tucked away on forest trails. Wildlife and wildflowers abound. Views and sunsets. Check out the 968 acre wildlife management area that abuts the property. Plenty of trails through the woods leading to Wolcott Pond and hidden beaver huts and dams.

Our little pond behind the big greenhouse has filled up a bit more this spring which you are welcome to use for dipping or frog watching.

This is a very rustic, off-grid campsite—best for those who appreciate nature and are prepared to rough it. There are no hookups, electricity, or potable water. An outhouse compost toilet is available (bring your own TP). No showers or dump stations. Please do not dump grey/black water anywhere on the property.
We allow small RVs, vans, and trailers under 24 ft. No 5th wheels. 4WD is recommended but not required. Garden carts are available, upon request, to haul gear if needed.
Important to Know:
No pets (we’re a working farm with chickens and farm dogs).
Fires allowed only in designated pit. Bring firewood (or purchase from us) and always follow fire bans.
Pack out your trash (small bin next to outhouse provided for cans/bottles).
No cutting trees or using the large bonfire pile in the center of the field.

Perfect location if you plan on visiting surrounding cities, like Stowe. Camp site was well taken care of. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave several recommendations for activities and dining ahead of the visit for planning. All around really nice dude! Multiple showers/flushable toilets available. Dog friendly. Many guests but was very quiet, which was great. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner/welcoming...but it is camping and I'm always grateful just to have access to utilities. Over all, nice stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Pines! Chris and Ellen were incredibly accommodating — they communicated clearly, respected our privacy, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit.
The hookups worked perfectly — clean water with great pressure, and everything was easy to access and set up. The location is absolutely beautiful, tucked into the woods yet close to everything in the White Mountains.

This spot was 10/10! As a solo female traveling with just her dog I felt completely safe here. Everyone else staying was very kind and Will was fantastic! The bathrooms were clean and it was in the perfect location to be able to drive through smugglers notch multiple times to get to Stowe! I would definitely stay here again!

Hidden Pines is consistently the best. Mountain views, open skies, surrounded by forest & nature, which is why we keep coming back. This is our favorite Hipcamp, 4th time here and we continue to find new and exciting adventures near and far. Already looking forward to visiting again. Will was super welcoming, accommodating, and responsive. He gave us some great local recommendations for around the area. His campground had beautiful views and was the perfect location to explore Smuggler’s Notch. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. The campground was well taken care of. Would stay here again!

Wonderful area. Nicely maintained lot with privacy. Located within short driving distance to Franconia and hiking trails. Clean and neat and our hosts are quick to answer any questions. This is our best hipcamp we stay at. Would highly recommend!

We had a great times at Chris and Ellen’s site! While it’s close to town and the convenience of shops and great restaurants it’s off the beaten track enough to where you can enjoy the beauty of the woods, starry nights and seclusion. Such an easy setup with water, electric, sewer and level parking. We would love to come back!

Everything about this location is great! Easy to access and set up (25 foot travel trailer). Hookups are all conveniently located. Very clean with a nice level gravel area, and a small lawn area (perfect for the kids). Very private, wooded, with beautiful glimpses of the sunset through the trees. Having free WiFi and firewood available for purchase is a nice added convenience. We will defiantly be returning again in the future. Thank you Chris & Ellen!

Very nice camp site. A level gravel pad with full hookups on a wooded lot. The location is great. You can escape to complete solitude in the woods but still be within minutes of restaurants and services. The hosts were very responsive. I would highly recommend this HipCamp.
