Weekend Trip to Burke Line Farm

We stayed two nights for a music festival near by. It was amazing..we have two dogs and our aussie and border collie were in heaven. The farm is just awesome with trails through the woods, orchards and open fields. Had our own fire pit outside our rustic comfy cabin. It poured rain for some of the trip and we were dry and had the best nap ever with the rain on the tin roof! We loved it and it would be great for a group needing central pavilion to hang out in as well.

1 night at Broadfork Farmstead

Carol's place was amazing and made me realize how much Vermont truly has to offer. I even got the homemade breakfast that was beyond amazing with the best apple juice I've ever had. I enjoyed seeing the farm animals and they were quite entertaining. Carol had plenty of recommendations of what to do in the area. This was the first place I booked with Hipcamp and I'm glad I found this place. Highly recommend if you're thinking about it.

Weekend Trip to Deer Bear Mountain View

Craig was a wonderful host. He met me when I arrived and showed me around, and then let me keep to myself for my stay. I stayed in the cabin, and it had good amenities. It was a very quiet peaceful place to stay, and I got to see lots of wild turkey which was fun. I plan on returning if I stay in this area again in the future. Thanks Craig!

Sandy the host was kind and welcoming. She has many beautiful gardens and spaces to explore and relax while staying on the farm. The sauna was so peaceful and relaxing. The hive cabin was unique and comfortable!

Sandy's farm was such an absolute gift. She was a wonderful host. Despite the bad weather she made accommodations to make our experience unforgettable. The wood fired sauna was an absolute highlite of our trip and she had it ready for us when we arrived. She also provided a few options for things to do in the town which enhanced our experience. I will definitely be coming back to Sandy's in the future, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a weekend get away.

Weekend Trip to Pine Cone Cabin

We had a great night away at the pine cone cabin! We arrived during a picturesque snow storm that was perfect for snowman building. The cabin took a little while to warm up, but once the wood stove got roaring we were sweating and stayed toasty all night. Wood for the stove was available for purchase on site ($6 a bundle) and we only needed one for the night and morning. The lights and hot plate were great accommodations and made cooking yummy camping meals a breeze. The loft was great. It easily fit our queen sized air mattress with my son’s camping pad on one side, our baby’s travel bassinet on the other and still had lots of room for our bags. Bonus that it is carpeted! We hope to come back again soon!

Texas Hill Brook camp site The Texas Hill Brook site is a flat, wooded campsite on Texas Hill Brook in Huntington. The campsite is roughly 10m x 30m (30' x 100'), large enough for several tents or a small camper/RV. It is accessed by a sloped 50m (about 150') gravel driveway. The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Electricity on site, primitive fire pit, but no other facilities, so ALL waste must be packed out. We have a bucket commode to loan if you don’t have your own. Dark Star Cabin Dark Star is the perfect base camp for your northern Vermont hiking and biking adventures! Comfortable accommodations for 6 in a solar powered cabin. Located in Huntington close to some of Vermont’s best trails, Dark Star is a short hike (less than a mile) from a private, secure parking area. The hike is not difficult, but ground is uneven, some of it is uphill, and it may be wet. Note that this property is HIKE-IN ONLY and pack in/pack out (i.e. you will need to pack out all trash, etc.). Unwind in the wood-fired sauna, lounge on the deck under the stars, sharing stories of your escapades and planning the next day’s adventures. Pull-out queen sofa bed on the main floor plus 2 full size beds in the loft. Pillows are provided but bring your own linens.
