Great little base camp in Stowe. Matches the description well. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. Loved the sauna and cold plunge.

This was perfect for our weekend in Stowe. It is just a few minutes from town which was super convenient. Rick was very nice and made sure everything was going well.
This place was AWESOME! Rick provided everything we needed and more. He even had the sauna hot and ready for us when we arrived! The cabin was in the perfect location, close to everything. It was set back from the Main Street so it was very quiet and peaceful and felt like we were in a world of our own. I highly recommend! Thanks for providing an affordable cozy place to stay Rick!
The cabin is a 1.5 mile walk to the Historic Stowe Village so it is very conveniently located to many restaurants and hikes like Stowe Pinnacle. It is a unique experience for 2-3 people in a small cabin with a firewood hot tub, cold tub soak in a gazebo, a wood stove sauna, two fire pits, an outhouse, a screened porch and grill. Another good feature is that dogs are welcome and have room to roam and relax. Rick was very responsive and accommodating in making sure we were comfortable with everything. He provided great suggestions for dining and hikes. We had another nice stay in beautiful Stowe for a popular fall foliage weekend.

My husband and I have traveled all over the world and I have to say this is one of my favorite stays ever! Dr Rick was an awesome host, so many thoughtful touches… loved the Buddha incense burner, with plenty of incense to burn, an endless supply of wood for the wood fired sauna and hot tub, and fire pit . Best of all the cabin is located just a short distance from downtown Stowe Vermont, Smugglers Notch State Park, endless hiking trails and waterfalls.
Hotels in Stowe are super expensive but the ZenDen offers all this at a very affordable price. We’ll definitely be back on our next New England road trip!
What a terrific place to stay! The Zen-Den is super comfortable with amazing amenities. The location is spot on. Rick was flexible, open and ver accommodating. He provided detailed information and was the consummate host. I highly recommend Zen-Den in Stowe and Rick.
This tiny house was amazing! Super close to both the center of Stowe and Waterbury and it has many great amenities. We made use of the sauna and hot tub a lot. The cold plunge also got some use a few times. The fire pit made the evenings fun. The house it self was very comfortable and inviting. Rick is a great host and answered any questions that arose very quickly. It all made our vacation extremely enjoyable!
Rick's spot is really sweet! Close to town and very private. The bed was comfy and I slept really solidly. The sound of rain on the roof was soothing and made me so happy I didn't have to pack up a wet tent. I liked being half way between activites up at the Von Trapp Lodge hot air balloon fest and going other places to explore. Swimming in the reservoir south of Stowe was gorgeous and restorative.

Small cabin close to town
Excellent tiny home feel, a great base camp from which to explore the incredible outdoors here! Tucked behind an office building, quiet at night. Hot tub and sauna were much enjoyed! Place was exactly as described. Bed was firm and comfortable. Felt much like camping but with extras!
Rick is an awesome host. We really enjoyed his Zen Den and the surrounding community. We'll be back!
Rick was awesome and showed us around when we arrived. Perfect place for 2 people. The sauna is really nice with a possibility to lay in the snow right after. Place visited in February. We could set a fire in the pit and wood was available on site. We had a good sleep with bedding and pillow available. Location is great.

Small cabin close to town
The Zen Den is as advertised and properly named. I had a relaxing stay along with my pup at the Zen Den in Stowe and Rick was a more than gracious host. The check-in process was easy and Rick made sure I had all the information I needed to make my stay go as smoothly as possible. The firewood sauna was a treat after a long day of snowboarding at Stowe mountain and the location of the Zen Den makes getting in and out of town a breeze. I would suggest anyone looking to stay in the area give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I will certainly be back in the future.

CAMPERS this is the spot to stay.
3 min drive into town to breweries and breakfasts. But most importantly a Nordic spa experience. If you can deal with not having a fancy hotel room then you will have the best time making fires to light the sauna and hot tub looking at the mountains. Thanks, Rick! Also our puppy had the best time
My friend and I had such an amazing weekend at Rick’s cabin! The property was clean, comfortable and perfectly fit the description. It was central to Stowe and nearby a lot of restaurants and hikes. Our dogs also had a great time playing with one another, Rick’s dog and the neighbor’s dog. Thank you Rick!
I loved camping on Rick’s land! It was clean, with almost everything you may need, not too far from the road and intimate. The outside space is spacious with Sauna and cold water if needed. It is pet friendly. Rick was a great host, send us multiple messages and videos before we came to make sure we would be ok. I strongly recommend and would definitely come back.
Rick's place was absolutely stunning and a great experience. This mini cabin came with a beautiful view and a quiet space. Rick is awesome and responsive to our questions. We hung out on the deck both nights we stayed because it was so relaxing and lovely.
This cabin is a quick 25 minute walk into town or an easy bike ride. There are walking paths as well as bike paths. The space is neat and the cold plunge is an excellent addition. Worth every penny.
We will definitely be back.
