This beautiful, historic property was one of the first to be settled in the early 1800s. The credited first settler in Charleston, Vermont; Abner Allyn and his family owned this farm for 100 years! Our family began restoring the farmhouse as well as beginning a small regenerative farming operation in 2022. Currently we have a small flock of broilers and layers, turkeys, ducks and guineas. Our birds are fed an organic feed local to Vermont and are pasture raised. Freya an Luna are the Great Pyrenees' about the farm. They protect the flocks from predators. They are working dogs and have access to the entire property. For this-and other reasons, we discourage bringing pets to the farm. A sweet brook meanders through the property which all sites have access to as well as stunning views of bald mountain. Lovely farm views throughout the seasons. Multiple trails for exploring can be found on and off farm. Trail heads to multiple mountains are within a few minutes of campsites. Lake Willoughby is a short 4 miles away, 7 miles to Island Pond, as well as endless hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and more.

Talk about a diamond in the rough. New Hampshire’s aptly named Little Diamond Pond, tucked away in the remote north country, boasts some of the best trout fishing in the state. While this is the heart and soul of Coleman State Park—drawing fishermen young and old from across the region—many more flock here for excellent hunting and ATVing. And with a handful of new ATV-accessible campsites, why wouldn’t they? From here, riders have access to more than 1,000 miles of off-road-vehicle trails in Coos County, plus additional trails reserved for non-motorized pursuits such as hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. Even if you weren’t aware that Coleman State Park lies just 15 miles from the Canadian border, you’d be silly to think you were anywhere else.

Please look up the Wiki about Barton Vermont . Fascinating history and information about the area . This property will be turned into a homestead for my now 13 year old daughter who has become too Americanized and on her phone all day 😉. She is going to learn how to grow her own food and become fully self sustainable . In the meantime I would like Hipcampers to enjoy the property and the views . Learn more about this land: Great mountain and lake views on secluded 48 acres ! The property is close to Crystal Lake , Lake Willoughby. You can see Canadian mountains from the top camping site . I Recommend parking in lower lot and hiking to the top to camp. The road is a off road/logging road to the top. Hipcamp and myself does not cover any damage to your vehicle . Read reviews before booking. It is a hike to the top that takes about 10-15 minute. Wear proper footwear . Must be a camper, outdoorsy or in decent shape to book this campsite . Again , please read reviews before booking . Thank you

As private as private gets but only 6 miles to Newport Vt. There is a creek and a one acre pond (20 feet deep). It is all mixed hard and softwoods. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. For more info call 863220 5881 Excellent drinking water is available from the hose at our house. Fires are allowed and we supply the firewood at no extra charge.

Come pitch a tent and stay for awhile. Learn more about this land: Enjoy over six acres of forest on a private dead end road. There are views of Burke Ski Resort and amazing sunsets. From the property you can bike to the Kingdom Trails of East Haven via Flower Brook Rd. You can also meander through the property and follow it to Flower Brook or take a short drive towards Victory for swimming holes, fishing, or Radar MTN. There is no potable water but I leave a 5 gallon jug of drinking water that can be refilled at the town playground.

As an avid mountain biker, nature lover and adventurist I decided to purchase this piece of property near the network of trails as East Burke continues to grow. I always loved camping and want to share that with others. It’ll take me some time to build in campsite amenities but would love to have others be part of that journey.
