5 stars for this campsite perched on a mountain featuring stunning views. Frank was very friendly and accommodating. The site is perfect for Bikepackers and features an outdoor shower/sink, power outlets to recharge devices, potable water…and WIFI!!!! Would definitely recommend this spot for Bikepackers on the Montshire Maze / VTXL Route. The Willoughby Lake Store down the mountain has plenty of food/drink options, but cell service is very limited down there.

Great stay! Frank was really kind, welcoming, and very helpful. We had an amazing mountain view right from our campsite. I definitely recommend this place! Super séjour! We had a wonderful stay at Frank's campground. The campground is clean, quiet, and very well maintained. Frank is an exceptional host—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. When our vehicle broke down unexpectedly, he was incredibly kind and understanding, which made a stressful situation much easier. We truly appreciated his hospitality and generosity. We highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay with an owner who genuinely cares about his guests. Thank you, Frank! We hope to come back again.

Beautiful property that is spacious but also has great amenities like sinks and a shower! The views are stunning and it’s a super quick drive to the lake! Frank was very helpful and welcoming as well.

Great view and location

Frank was great with communication. He gave us hiking recommendations which we enjoyed. The view was the highlight of this stay as well as the convenience of a shower. We were looking forward to using the grill but it wasn’t cleaned since the last campers who used it. Other things to note: Upon arrival we were surprised to discover that the field is directly in front of the house. This wasn’t in the description or in pictures so I think it would be something good to include. Also, our first night was a little rough since the dog in the house was barking throughout the night. Other campers may have dogs as well so a good idea to bring ear plugs!

Incredible Camp!

We just wrapped up an 8-night stay at Frank’s property and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We camped with friends in two 14-foot campers, and the site was perfect—neat, tidy, and everything functioned exactly as described. Even over the July 4th weekend, when other campers were on the property, there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The view is truly the star of the show here; a big, open expanse of the mountains that changed beautifully. We loved watching the sky, the clouds, and even spotting fireworks in the far distance at night—it was a truly magical location. Frank is a fantastic communicator, and a kind and thoughtful host, he even provided picnic food to campers for July 4th. We made use of the community area, which included yard games, a fire pit, and plenty of seating. The outdoor shower is hands-down the best around—it is large with plenty of places to hang towels and clothes and it had great hot water! It was clean and open to the sky. We visited in early July 2026 and were happy to find no mosquitoes, no ticks, and no horseflies. We did encounter a few tiny biting black flies in the late afternoon, but it was mostly a bug free area. The location is unbeatable with quick access to hiking, Lake Willoughby, and Kingdom Trails for mountain biking. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Hidden gem in the Northeast Kingdom! Well off the beaten path with incredible views. Higher elevation location provides for cooler temps during the summer nights. Very quiet setting. Frank was an extremely kind host. Highly recommended a visit!

We arrived late and in the pouring rain and Frank still came out to check on us and give us the run down. The house is nearby but you don’t even notice. The hookups are a great amenity (almost unheard of on hipcamp) and Franks communication was stellar. The view is great and is close to kingdom trails. Would definitely recommend!

Frank has such a beautiful property, even it being a rainy spring our view was still beautiful. We had a great time, frank had clear directions on how to get there and where to park as we arrived later at night. I can only imagine the view/ property in the summertime!

Awesome private property with views

Frank is a really nice guy and has a beautiful property. His land is tucked away deep in the woods down a dirt road. His house is on the property, but he’s got a really large lot of land with beautiful views of nearby mountains. I stayed on his property in winter, and he was super accommodating, he plowed for me, helped me pick out the best spot that would be shielded from the wind, and even provided me with an extension cord for power and some wood. I’ll definitely be back. He’s got amazing views and a very private feeling property. He even offered that I could stay in his finished lower level if I got too cold. Cool property and it’s really close to Mt Pisgah where I was doing some hikes.

Great private lot about 30 mins from KT. Great view of the mountains. Site had full amenities and full hookup for an RV. Both Rv and tent camping. Host is highly responsive. Highly reccomended.

Absolutely loved my short stay here! Frank is very friendly and accommodating. The land is beautiful and spacious and the HOT outdoor shower was awesome! He goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home, I highly recommend this location! Also, the stars at night were magical!!
