Located on 109 scenic acres, we offer beautiful campsites, as well as RV parking and canvas tents for rent. Our property borders Vermont's Long Trail, less than 1/2 mile from the gorgeous vista of Prospect Rock. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is nearby for bicycle or foot travel, and the Lamoille river is easily accessed for fishing, tubing, kayaking etc. We feature a full-size professionally built Disc Golf course, Elevation Chains, on property. Beautiful views of river and mountains and a secluded yet very accessible location make this an ideal property for camping.  Our campground features a fully functioning outdoor kitchen available to all campers.  Propane stove, running water and cutlery are provided to make food planning and prep easier.  It also features a large firepit and serves as a great center for community gatherings.  Outdoor shower (room temp only) and composting toilets also available.  Biodegradable soaps and hygiene products only please! The frogs will thank you.  Ask us about canoe and paddleboard rental! About us: At Hogback Homestead we strive to be positive stewards to our land.  We actively farm and forage, and appreciate it when our guests take interest as well.  We graze sheep, pigs and sometimes other ruminants, keep gardens and perennials, and manage our lands with the most ecological practices available to us.  We believe that a strong and thriving community is foundational to a healthy, happy life and welcome all to come visit! Ask about long term camping and internship programs as well. Arriving on site: Don't follow your GPS, as it may send you to an inaccurate location. Instead, put our address (contact us if you're unable to find it on this site) in, locate our road, and then look for the street number on our mailbox on the left as you drive uphill. Once onsite, follow the drive straight until you reach the camping area and follow signage to your site. If you have questions or need assistance we live in the cabin with the blue roof and can usually be found around there.

Great Place to Camp
Great place to camp and close to the Lamoille Valley Trail. Spent the night here while I was bikepacking across Vermont. I was at site three for the evening, a secluded spot, tucked away, and private. The outdoor kitchen was charming and the shower was an unexpected surprise. I would definitely recommend and plan on returning the next time I ride the Lamoille Valley Trail.

Lovely site! A great place to camp while cycling the LVRT. When you're all sweaty from climbing that final hill, that cold shower does really feel good! Sites are isolated from each other.

Woodland Wall Tent
Overall, I liked this stay. I really wanted to love it, however I felt it wasn’t the same as what is described in many of the reviews. The land was not maintained and lots of standing water leading to a very large, unbearable amount it mosquitos and biting flies. We had to leave a day early because of this. I was also under the impression this was a working homestead but there were no animals or gardens. I know the owner seemed to be very kind and I feel badly leaving anything negative here but I felt what we got and what was advertised were mismatched for us.

Beautiful land
Chris’s land was beautiful and our camping trip was great. It’s clear that the land is loved and cared for, with plentiful native plants, tons of birds, gorgeous big trees. The outdoor kitchen, compost toilet and outdoor shower were very nice to have while still having a spacious campsite that felt private. We loved walking around the trails out by our site and birdwatching. Chris was kind and attentive. Thank you!!

Amazing camping experience
We loved staying here!! The whole property was absolutely gorgeous, it ended up raining the three days we were here it was still so beautiful and enjoyable , especially with the communal kitchen!! Such a cute space with everything you need , protected us from the rain so we could enjoy our meals. We stayed at site 3 and it was very tucked away with a nice view of the mountains, perfect for our dogs to go off leash . Christopher was very quick to respond and very helpful ! Thank you so much , definitely will be coming back again soon!

Camped in a tent on this gorgeous property and it went great! We really appreciated the cooking space and other facilities while still in a rustic setting
