. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. Recent flooding made quite a mess but it's still pleasant here. Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals. Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out! We are a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA !​ Other details to note: Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. This RV spot offers the perfect blend of proximity to Austin's vibrant attractions, nature and the comfort of a cozy neighborhood setting. Situated on the side of my house, the site is 95' long. 38' of which is along my house. The width between the house and fence is 18 feet. This should fit any RV with 2 slides and awning being open. The entire lot is fenced in, granting guests(and pets) full use of the pool and yard. Enjoy privacy with no neighbors in the back and an 8' side fence where your RV will be parked. The lot is a city sized lot, less than 1/5 acre, but HipCamp won't let me put in less than 1 acre. Pictures show my white/red retro RV as well as other RV's and how they have fit with and without my RV. Backing in is best for trailers - motorhomes/vans can go forward or back in. You may find maneuvering backwards a bit challenging due to the angle from the street through the front gate and my house overhang. It can be done...it just may take a village! :o) There's plenty of room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV(fenced in too!), and both 50amp and 30amp electric hookups are located on the back side of my house near the water hookup. (NOTE: Hipcamp will not let me notate in the fields that I have a 50amp AND a 30amp, thus I have 2 sites listed. I have had 2 RV guests stay at same time, but will not book that unless I get the ok from all parties.) LIVE sewer hookup isn't available because my clean-out is in the front of the house. Dumping can be done on the way in/out or with a portable tank.. Nestled in a charming, gentrifying neighborhood, expect the pleasant hum of city sounds (not overly loud) and glimpses of starlit skies. During your stay, I'll be residing in the house with my sociable dog, Toby. We'll be respectful of your privacy but available for any assistance you may need. The massive 2015 floods destroyed the structure and since then we have been enjoying camping on it, as we have slowly rebuilt the structure. Once ancient native Indian lands, you can scour for arrowheads, fossils, lava rocks (just found this past weekend on the cliff top) and so much more! I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. There is an antique fireplace that is from the origins of the property over a century ago on the large outdoor patio and a huge fire pit on the cliff top.  Bundles of wood are available to purchase at $9 each.  Please DO NOT help yourself to our wood piles, we had to pay someone to cut and stack it all- it is not free. We are happy to stock each firepit area with bundles of wood, per your request. This RV spot offers the perfect blend of proximity to Austin's vibrant attractions, nature and the comfort of a cozy neighborhood setting. Situated on the side of my house, the site is 95' long. 38' of which is along my house. The width between the house and fence is 18 feet. This should fit any RV with 2 slides and awning being open. The entire lot is fenced in, granting guests(and pets) full use of the pool and yard. Enjoy privacy with no neighbors in the back and an 8' side fence where your RV will be parked. The lot is a city sized lot, less than 1/5 acre, but HipCamp won't let me put in less than 1 acre. Pictures show my white/red retro RV as well as other RV's and how they have fit with and without my RV. Backing in is best for trailers - motorhomes/vans can go forward or back in. You may find maneuvering backwards a bit challenging due to the angle from the street through the front gate and my house overhang. It can be done...it just may take a village! :o) There's plenty of room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV(fenced in too!), and both 50amp and 30amp electric hookups are located on the back side of my house near the water hookup. (NOTE: Hipcamp will not let me notate in the fields that I have a 50amp AND a 30amp, thus I have 2 sites listed. I have had 2 RV guests stay at same time, but will not book that unless I get the ok from all parties.) LIVE sewer hookup isn't available because my clean-out is in the front of the house. Dumping can be done on the way in/out or with a portable tank.. Nestled in a charming, gentrifying neighborhood, expect the pleasant hum of city sounds (not overly loud) and glimpses of starlit skies. During your stay, I'll be residing in the house with my sociable dog, Toby. We'll be respectful of your privacy but available for any assistance you may need. The massive 2015 floods destroyed the structure and since then we have been enjoying camping on it, as we have slowly rebuilt the structure. Once ancient native Indian lands, you can scour for arrowheads, fossils, lava rocks (just found this past weekend on the cliff top) and so much more! I have spent my entire 53 years enjoying this property, and am honored to share the tranquil and peaceful retreat of the outdoor space to those discerning campers of the world! Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. There is a huge privacy wall of bamboo that gives you a sense of absolute privacy, with a cliff on the opposing side to encase you and your loved ones in this majestic retreat.  There is also a pull up/ hook up area for travel trailers and smaller rv's with a 30 amp plug in and a 50 amp plug in. This is on a gorgeous area on the deepest swimming hole of the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas!  OH, and the entire Blanco River in Wimberley is private! There is no river accessible camping available to the public, anywhere in Wimberley!  Has two beautiful docks on the water: one is perfect for morning coffee, wine sipping, fishing, meditating, yoga, with an adjacent access ladder and steps to get in and out of the water, the other has a large bench, steps to the water for entering with water toys, etc, and a rope swing! This property includes a cliff to climb with ropes installed and amazing views of the Blanco river valley east and west from the top! Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. Campers may NOT use the water supply connected to the house- please respect.)  You will have absolute privacy on these 3 acres, with no neighbors, beyond those folks who live across the river on their large pieces of land! The rate is $220/night for up to 4 campers, unless specified otherwise due to a holiday, and each additional camper beyond, $30/pp. This property is not appropriate for children under 12 because of safety concerns with the cliff, the river and the road bisecting the property that leads to the river.  No children under 12 allowed. I am quite firm about this, and I apologize in advance. What makes it an amazing property, a destination for camping and exploring, also makes it a safety risk for younger children. My son and I had a great time camping here! John and Nugget were wonderful hosts - very friendly, welcoming and helpful. John helped guide us to a spot that had enough vertical clearance for our RTT and helped us get our “camp kitchen” setup. It’s a beautiful property - we didn’t get to explore as much as we would have liked because it rained but we will definitely be back!

I kinda really don’t even want to leave a review because I don’t want the secret getting out. But this camp site is just amazing if you know what you’re getting into! It’s rustic, bring your own table and water rustic. But for that “downside” you get so many upsides. The quiet, ooooh the quiet. The stars and the quiet make you forget you’re only 30 minutes from home. The hosts are amazing, friendly, and on top of everything on the facility. As an example, there was a shortage of tp in one of the bathrooms, no big deal, I keep tp in the truck for this reason. But next time I went in (next morning) it was stocked! It’s the little things in that really and truly make this place incredible.

John’s place is in a great location—15 min to San Marcos and 35 min to Wimberley. He’s a quirky San Marcos local; super nice guy and very accommodating. The neighbors have farm animals and we enjoyed watching/listening to them. There’s only 1 spot that will fit an RV or bus, which is right on the fence line next to the neighbors. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time here! Sites were large enough to accommodate 2 vehicles and a tent, plus 3 dogs. Bathrooms at the front were clean, plus a hose nearby for non potable water. We had fire wood delivered to our site a couple of times and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing piece of property. It’s on a lazy bend of the Guadalupe and the owner lent us a John boat to take my son out fishing. There are numerous mature pecan trees and it’s just beautiful. It would be perfect were it not for the occasional road noise from Highway 90, and we were camping pretty far away. Not the owners fault obviously. He was a tremendous host; this place is a 9.5/10 with the only flaw keeping it from perfection being the occasional road noise.

There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). . These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. Recent flooding made quite a mess but it's still pleasant here. Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals. Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out! We are a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA !​ Other details to note: Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. When to go

Central Texas can reach unbearably hot temperatures in the summer months, starting in June through September. Hipcampers can enjoy Lockhart State Park’s on-site pool during these months, but should know that they will share the space with day visitors. Spring and fall can be beautiful and more temperate times to visit. The small campground size keeps crowds controlled, but note that peak weekends and holidays can feel crowded—particularly at the RV sites.

  • The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and individual day use tickets must be purchased separately.
  • Clear Fork Creek is known as a place to catch sunfish, catfish and bass, and guests don’t need a fishing license to fish at Lockhart State Park.
