The property is fully fenced. The entrance gate is 16' wide. The yard is all St. Augustine grass. Very clean and maintained. Pets are welcome.
This property is tailored for RVs, 5th Wheels, Travel Trailers, and Motorhomes that have black and grey tanks and can hold their waste water (shower, toilet, and washing) for dumping into the on-site water treatment unit. You must have your own shower, sinks, and toilet on your rig with holding tanks for black and grey water and the ability to dump into the dump location on the property. The property is not designed for tent campers.
The electrical and sewage hookups are on the left side of the property. Motorhomes (Class A, Pushers, and Class C RVs can pull directly into the space with hookups in the usual location. 5th wheels, travel trailers, and campers that are pulled by a vehicle will need to back into the space as there is no room in the front of the property to drive in, unhook your vehicle, and drive the vehicle off the slab. When you back in, the hookups will be on the the opposite side of your connections. Depending upon your travel trailer and where you place your travel trailer on the slab, you may need electrical or sewage extensions to reach the connections.
The vast majority of the renters who use the property used a 5th wheel, travel trailer or camper that is pulled by a vehicle.
The pictures of the property show a line of granite blocks between the property and the beach. The granite forms a seawall (called the revetment wall) that was installed by the Corp of Engineers and prevents beach erosion. Depending on the tides, sometimes the Gulf waters hit the wall and there is very little beach area in front of the property. Sometimes, there is a large beach area. If the water is against the seawall and you’re looking for beach area, there are several beach entrances along Canal Drive within driving and walking distance.

Nestled between the Gulf of America and the Intracoastal Waterway, Sargent Island was developed in the 1950s and remains a quiet coastal community. We consider Sargent an oasis away from the crowds and congestion of other beach destinations. We love escaping our busy lives to listen to the waves crashing along the shore, and we think you'll love it too.
This privately owned 8,000 sq. ft. beachfront lot is located on a barrier island in Sargent, TX. It offers a neighborhood setting with a secluded, unobstructed view of the Gulf. The property features an approximately 30' x 30' gravel pad and a long driveway.
While the property is beachfront, direct access to the dune area and beach may not always be available due to tides, rainfall, storms, or beach erosion. Public beach access is located about 1/4 mile down the road.
Please note this is a subdivision, and there is a neighboring home on the right side of the property.
This site is intended for RVs and wheeled campers only. It is best suited for small to midsize RVs. Ground tents are not permitted due to local wildlife, although elevated vehicle-mounted tents are welcome.
The property is still being developed. We currently provide electricity (110V, 30-amp, and 50-amp service) and water, but there is NO sewer or septic system. Guests must bring their own toilet facilities and remove all waste upon departure. Public restrooms and trash disposal are available approximately 1.5 miles away.
A picnic table, clothesline, and shade canopy are typically provided, but availability may vary due to storms and high winds.
If you enjoy quiet surroundings, open space, and uncrowded beaches, Sargent is the perfect getaway.

We stayed at No Moss Island site number 2 and it was great! Wide concrete slab, that required no levelling, with full hookups. Nice grassy area in between campsites and in the area behind the campsites and were pleasantly surprised that there were no stickers so you can walk barefoot and it didn't bother our dogs. The sites and the area in general are very well maintained, there was also a trash can for us to leave our trash in. The views were awesome of both the beach and the canal and was cool to see the tugboats passing back and forth occasionally. Host was very easy to deal with and responsive to questions. We will definitely stay here again!

I loved camping at No Moss Island. It had direct access to the beach and fishing, which I and my husband were very happy about. It was also a very private area, so we could sit outside and watch the waves roll in while visiting with our best friends, who stayed in the spot next to us. Would recommend it and are planning on going back in the future.

We arrived and it was just fabulous from the start. We'll actually we set up in the pouring rain, but 1 hour later and for the rest of our stay it was wonderful. We sat out every night and watched the pelicans return home, and the owners Lisa and Caryn came down and visited with us, and we're absolutely delightful, we felt like we made new friends. We will absolutely be back and if you are looking for a Texas beach escape you would be silly not to book this place.

Had a great time. Quiet and peaceful. Parked straight in. Brought everything i needed so no need to drive anywhere. Caught a nice red drum right on the beach. Dogs loved the fenced yard. Nice remote and my type of get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and tourist beaches. Not a person on the beach for a 1000 yards in either direction. Just a local walking the beach from time to time. Great sunrises and sunsets. Will be back. My perfect weekend getaway. Lost power with the passing storms for a few hours but my rig was boon dock capable.

We were looking for a spur of the moment weekend getaway by some water, and found the listing for the Oceanfront RV Pad, located in Sargent, Tx. Booking process was simple, made contact with the host, and she gave simple instructions on finding and accessing the property. We arrived and the host met with us briefly to give us the rundown on the site, as well as a flyer she'd created with information about the area... stores, places to eat, fishing supplies, etc. as well as the wifi information. The site was awesome! Nice concrete pad with plenty of room for our 29' class c motorhome and our Jeep parked in front of it. There is full hookups: water, electric (with both 30 and 50 amp plugs) and sewer. One thing to be aware of, the sewer drop is positioned at the rear of the site, so a long hose may be needed to reach it, but we were still able to make it work. There is also a picnic table at the back of the pad and a BBQ grill as well. The site is truly oceanfront, with a great view right across the road and the sounds of the surf was so nice. Beach access is as simple as exiting the property and just a few minutes at most and you're on the sand! The intracoastal waterway is located behind the property so we could see the barges going back and forth which was cool as well. All in all, it's a great place to stay for a beach trip and the host was super easy to work with. We'll definitely stay here again!

This place was truly special, check in was super easy and the desk worker was so kind. The staff were so friendly and accommodating you can tell that they all loved being there. There was live music every day that we attended and they provided three meals a day for their guest that were amazing. The volleyball courts, endless games and entertainment were awesome. It was so charming and not touristy at all. Everyone was like a happy little family. We will be back!

A beautiful spot for fishing and beach going. We loved being so close that we could cross the street and be on the beach. We didn’t have to haul a ton of stuff. My husband had his dual sport motorcycle and had a blast riding the beach road. Our boys had a wonderful time cast netting off the dock and the sunrises and sunsets were stunning. When people said the mosquitos were bad at night they weren’t joking around! Those suckers must have been around since the dinosaurs, so be sure to bring that bug spray! Overall it was a great spot with all the hook ups! Couldn’t have had a better time, THANKS No Moss for a great summer vacay
