Canalfront Covered RV Spot
The lot was clean and nicely mowed. We enjoyed the fence for our pup so she didn't have to be on a tether. We enjoyed checking out the neighborhood on our bikes. Was actually surprised at how few of the neighbors were there given the holiday week so it was nice and peaceful given the location (i.e. not "camping"). All RV utilities worked well and the pad was nice and level. Couldn't have asked for more in regards to the structure and pad site!
We have a 33ft bumper pull and it was a bit difficult to see the "driveway" markers at night with arriving after dark (in the fall) and it was a bit of a tight turn with a narrow road but we made it :).
We came to fish over the first part of Thanksgiving week so it was a real bummer that the fishing light didn't work, especially given it was in the fall and dark by 6pm. My fiance hadn't been able to do any fishing this year and desperately needed some time away (elderly parent is ill and works with inner city youth) so we were really counting on fishing at the site once the sun went down in the evening.
We messaged host the first night but she didn't get the notification until the day before we left. She did offer to have someone come and fix or replace the light but given it was our last night there, we passed. Everything else was absolutely wonderful though! We would recommend this site to others and may consider a summer stay in the future as the cover would provide great shade from the Texas sun in summer!

We had a great time at Kandas’s. The neighborhood was very clean and the neighbors across the channel were super helpful and kind. The dock was well kept and provided hours of fishing and rest. It was easy to get in and out of. We would highly recommend.

Overall we enjoyed our time here! The spot was perfect with full hookups, the only complaint was the mosquitos!! Bring heavy duty bug spray or be eaten alive!

Canalfront Covered RV Spot
We loved staying at this R.V. site. Hookups are In great condition, has patio lighting, property is fenced in, property is canal waterfront and has a fishing dock with great fishing. The owner even allowed us to use the high speed WiFi.. We caught 4 fish during our weekend trip right off of the back porch of our campsite as well as 3 Blue crab and 2 fish while surf fishing at the beach! Sargent is a laid back quiet fishing town. We were a 5 minute drive from the beach, where we spent a few hours each day surf fishing. No need to worry about over crowding on the beach, there is plenty of room and not overpopulated. There is a gas station up the road that has most of the essentials, some produce and basic cooking ingredients for convenience. Also there is a city park on the canal with picnic tables, a bike parking rack, and a small basketball court within a short walk or biking distance from the site. This is definitely a place to stay if you want to get away from it all, do some fishing or crabbing and slow down for a little while.

What a fun spot! Sargeant Texas is for people who want peace and quiet and to fish. This spot is maybe a mile to a local restaurant that had great fish and chips, super close to food trucks, and 6 min from the beach. The beach is nothing to exciting, it's pretty dirty. But this spot is right on the canal so we dropped a line for fun during the evenings and we loved the beautiful sunsets. It was the perfect stop on our way to Houston. We'd definitely stay here again. It was clean, the hookups were great, and the host responded quickly when we had a couple questions.

Canalfront Covered RV Spot
Great getaway spot for the family. This spot is right on the canal with a green light out for fishing. Plenty of seating at the picnic tables on site. There’s also a fire pit for these breezy spring nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Sargent.
**Big rigs use caution. We have a Tiffin Phaeton that is 43ft long and 13.5ft high and we did not fit under the enclosure. Also, please confirm address with host before arriving. We had to back our 43ft rig about a mile down the street in the pitch black because there are no turn arounds. The address on HipCamp is the 9-1-1 address and will take you to another street that is one way in and one way out. Thankfully the host was nice enough to answer our questions and provide the correct address so late at night.
