Nestled between the Gulf of America and the Intracoastal Waterway, Sargent Island was developed in the 1950s and remains a quiet coastal community. We consider Sargent an oasis away from the crowds and congestion of other beach destinations. We love escaping our busy lives to listen to the waves crashing along the shore, and we think you'll love it too. This privately owned 8,000 sq. ft. beachfront lot is located on a barrier island in Sargent, TX. It offers a neighborhood setting with a secluded, unobstructed view of the Gulf. The property features an approximately 30' x 30' gravel pad and a long driveway. While the property is beachfront, direct access to the dune area and beach may not always be available due to tides, rainfall, storms, or beach erosion. Public beach access is located about 1/4 mile down the road. Please note this is a subdivision, and there is a neighboring home on the right side of the property. This site is intended for RVs and wheeled campers only. It is best suited for small to midsize RVs. Ground tents are not permitted due to local wildlife, although elevated vehicle-mounted tents are welcome. The property is still being developed. We currently provide electricity (110V, 30-amp, and 50-amp service) and water, but there is NO sewer or septic system. Guests must bring their own toilet facilities and remove all waste upon departure. Public restrooms and trash disposal are available approximately 1.5 miles away. A picnic table, clothesline, and shade canopy are typically provided, but availability may vary due to storms and high winds. If you enjoy quiet surroundings, open space, and uncrowded beaches, Sargent is the perfect getaway. ISLAND LIFE NOTE: This is the Texas Gulf Coast, and mosquitoes can be abundant. Please bring insect repellent, as we cannot guarantee a bug-free experience. This property is subject to changing coastal conditions. High tides, storms, and wind may affect beach access, the canopy, or other amenities. Please ask questions before booking so we can provide current conditions. We do not offer refunds for rain, tides, storms, or other natural events beyond our control. The property was awesome. Enough space to angle our 21' RV so that we had a view of the ocean from all three rear windows.... The million dollar view for twenty dollars.... 😉👌. Mosquitos were not as bad as we were warned about... the wind helped a lot with that. We realized when we got there how nice it was that we decided to stay a 2nd night. I nice little gem on the coast, like finding a a cool seashell on the beach.

Site is very easy to find and lots of space . Very quiet street and the sunsets and sunrises are absolutely stunning. Miles of beach to walk and still not too far from restaurants,gas station/corner stores .

We had a great time camping here. It was right by the beach which was perfect. We did a lot of fishing so it was nice to have the ocean right there. You really can't beat the value. We would definitely come here again.

We had the best time fishing, swimming, and relaxing at Camp Nadur. We are already planning our next visit. Even on a very busy holiday weekend it was SO peaceful. Shockingly we had the beach to ourself most of the time. It’s a fantastic spot! Thanks Kirk and Emily for sharing your place.

Great getaway spot to enjoy the beach and watch the boats come in. I didn't have a good experience on my own equipment part and didn't get to stay the full stint that I wanted to. But the kind people Emily and her husband Kirk they refunded me for the days I didn't even stay. I highly recommend them!

This is a really nice private, quiet neighborhood and place to stay. We enjoyed 3 nights here. Our kids had lots of fun finding neat shells ,flying their kite, and going for walks! It’s a very friendly place to relax with the sounds of the ocean only a short distance away! Thank you!

I had 2 back-to-back reservations so fortunately I get to leave 2 reviews 😀. When I visited camp it was indeed an unusually high tide caused by a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico pushing a lot more water up than usual but Camp was still high and dry. A few days later a North Wind pushed in and sent the water back where it belongs allowing me to walk with boots on over to the gulf Shoreline to get some fishing in right in front of the camp. Bring any food with you that you will need because there's not much available in town except for a dollar general which is surprisingly well stocked with food and produce. If you like you can search YouTube for Dollar "General walkthrough Sargeant Texas" to see everything they have to offer locally. Fresh produce arrives Tuesdays and Saturdays so get there early if you need it because the whole town shows up. I also highly recommend joining the savings sargeant FB page before your trip which can provide excellent local information. Excellent place to camp and don't forget the mosquito spray :-)

Camp Nudar was perfect for me this past week. I took my Bed-over-cab truck bed camper down there pulling my Waverunner to do some fishing. The hosts were VERY easy to contact through the HipcampCamp app, very pleasant and professional and accommodating. Cant beat the price on this down there either for an Oceanfront campsight. 30 and 50 amp service is setup on the East side of the site so bring your longer extension cord for more flexibility on how deep into the site you can back in. I only had a 30' and parked exactly where I wanted to bt I have a fairly compact rig. Site is reasonably level on crushed stone that was very stable for me in my 14,000 lb dually with the camper loaded even after a massive rainstorm. I had small boards under my camper legs that did not dig in one bit after almost an entire week so it was perfect for my 1200 lbs per camper leg free standing on it. The driveway is a good length if you happen to have a spare vehicle that needs to parked in front of your camper...and then some. Perfect water pressure on the hose bib according to my pressure meter and breaker never tripped. Bring some rubber boots or reef boots and you can easily walk from the camp the 75' or so to the big granite blocks that line the Gulf shore. Bring a surf rod to get past the first few Breakers to the deeper water for fishing. Less than 5 minutes from Joey's boat launch ($5 to launch). Great site and a perfect place for a weeks getaway! Thanks for the memories!

Simple set up, no frills, no fuss. Park and relax. Open lot on one side, close house on stilts on other. 100+ft to beach and endless natural ocean views. Long straight road for 3mi jogging loop at high tide, or same on hard packed sand when low tide. Shade awning over round picnic table. Two sturdy 6x6 posts for dog tieout, laundry line, etc. Water source a bit precarious but good pressure. Lots of ocean trash across dunes, so do your bit and leave it better than when you came!

Our first Hipcamp experience was with hosts Kirk and Emily at their wonderful site in Sargent Beach. The directions were exact and easy to find. The site has water hookup and electricity and a level surface. You are overlooking the rolling waves of the Gulf of Mexico at the site and on the other side of the road into Camp Nadur is the Gulf Intercoastal Waterway with great fishing. We watched the dolphins and abundant bird population from a viewpoint almost out the front door! The nights without cloud cover, the Milky Way is clearly visible looking south. This might be a dark sky region. The area is very quiet with an amazing beach that seems to go on for miles just a walk or short drive further up the road that leads in. You can drive your vehicle on the beach sands. I was amazed at much beach and how few people were there. We went birding and shell collecting in the area. Just a short drive away is San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge with abundant wildlife including a healthy population of alligators! This is one of the best sites and areas we have ever camped at and we're already checking our schedule to figure out when we can return!

It was what I was expecting. What you see in the pictures is what you get. A no frills place to park your rig with water and electric. Hookups are on the opposite side from normal if you back in but we parked all the way to the edge of the pad so our chord and hose reached with no problem. My only complaint was the grass should have been mowed. It was a sharp grass that was about 8 in. high that pokes bare legs so it was quite uncomfortable to walk around in flip flops.

Nice place! Clean and great access to beach, town and canal. Hook ups on the left side (as you’re looking in) puts in on the wrong side for trailer. You WILL NEED extra power cord and water hose (50 feet). Other than that a great experience.
