Rebecca’s yoga barn was such an amazing place to stay while we visited Austin! It easily slept 4 people and had the basics (like sheets, fridge, kettle, microwave). The land was beautiful and Rebecca was kind and accommodating. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time there :) Thanks Rebecca!

The energy on the homestead and in the fixed up and air conditioned barn is wonderful. We really enjoyed getting the experience of camping (cooking outside, having a campfire, hiking) while having an indoor retreat from the afternoon sun and for sleeping. The host Rebecca is very friendly and available for help if you need her. We did the yoga meditation and the forest bathing experiences and would highly recommend both. Rebecca is an excellent teacher and facilitator. Her forest is beautiful!

Yoga Barn at Simply Wyldwood
Our group had a truly wonderful time at Simply Wyldwood! Rebecca was a very communicative, accommodating and friendly host. The yoga barn is a comfortable and beautiful space, with a great deck as well. The fire pit is large and was very nice to cook on and gather around in the evenings while listening to the bird songs and telling stories. The gardens and woods are beautiful. We are a permaculture volunteer group, and we enjoyed learning about Rebecca's gardens in all their histories and evolutions over the years. The space is perfect for people who want a combination of comfort/amenities and being close to nature We will be back!

Rebecca's little piece of heaven on earth was exactly what we needed to finish off our stay in the Austin area.
The yoga barn has everything you need to enjoy the comforts of home and embrace the outdoors.
The natural light was amazing, the grounding sheets were a treat and the outdoor shower looking over the forest gardens made this stay a 10 out of 10.
Don't stay at a hotel, make this your next stop for yourself, your loved one or your family.

We had a lovely stay at the Yoga Barn! Rebecca was a wonderful host, and showed us around her land and Food Forest which was filled with beautiful wildflowers! We were in TX for the eclipse, and she offered us tips about things to do in the area, and graciously loaned us a cooler for eclipse day. Our kids enjoyed the outside area and ping pong table, and the path to the parking area which is a bit like a tunnel through the trees. Bed was comfortable and the whole place clean. Would happily stay with here again!

We loved Rebecca’s homestead and yoga barn - learned about the hens and roosters, and the vegetables and flowers she’s growing. She was so sweet to show us around the property and where we can access for hiking. I was very appreciative that she was mindful about giving us privacy. The Yoga Barn was so clean and comfortable, we brought blow up mattresses to sleep on. We lit up the fire pit and hung out around there; drinking apple cider and making s’mores. The hot shower was heavenly since it was cool and drizzly towards the end of the night. In the morning, we played a board game and did yoga and meditation, loved watching the hens walk by. The view out from the barn was beautiful and so much nature, especially in the early morning when everything is so quiet and still - you can see the silhouette of the trees and the haze from the morning air. The bonus was meeting her dog. We would absolutely return!

Yoga Barn at Simply Wyldwood
I felt the peacefulness of Wyldwood the moment I walked onto the grounds. Rebecca and David were very welcoming and prepared our group with a tour of the grounds and a meditative, relaxation exercise. Our overnight stay was delightful and we all enjoyed waking up with the sunrise and chickens pecking at the barn’s glass.
The wildscaping and nature nourishment activity was a great way for the group to work together, connect and interact with the land at Wyldwood.

Yoga Barn at Simply Wyldwood
We held a staff retreat here and had a very relaxing experience! The grounds are beautiful and fun to explore, and the Yoga Barn was a nice relief from the summer sun & heat. Rebecca was very accommodating and helped ensure we had a good stay.

I had a great time at the Yoga Barn. Rebecca was inviting and kind to me and my teenage daughter. We signed up for the 20 minute hike and we learned so much about the trees and new growth. Enjoyed our stay and we are already planning the next one.

When I arrived , Rebecca welcomed me and showed me around her beautiful garden, explaining all the different plants, it was truly amazing. The yoga barn was a beautiful space with a loft bed that was so cozy I didn’t want to get up!!! The property is surrounded by wildflowers, trees, birds and other wildlife . Her chickens followed me around on the hiking trails in the morning and kept me company. This retreat is extremely peaceful and a wonderful getaway. I will be back for sure !

This was a picture-perfect stay--a lovely oasis, peaceful and beautifully well-tended grounds, and a very comfortable night's sleep in the barn loft. Waking up was magical, with sunlight unfolding over the garden and field of wildflowers outside the barn windows. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to others! Rebecca was also a wonderful host, attentive and gracious but also allowing her guests privacy.

I booked Wyldwood for a women's retreat. We absolutely loved our stay. The space is so beautiful and well cared for. Rebecca's energy and personality only add to the beautiful vibe of this place. We felt very comfortable and everything was well-maintained - inside and out. If you're looking for a peaceful place to soak up nature and center yourself - I highly recommend Wyldwood.

Yoga Barn at Simply Wyldwood
We had the best time staying at Rebecca’s homestead and yoga barn! We were in town for a convention and Rebecca’s place gave us a peaceful space to feel calm and refreshed. The studio was clean and had everything we needed. We took a forest bathing session (including my 8yo) and it was a wonderful experience that helped us recenter and feel grounded. She was very patient in guiding us through this meditative and healing practice. She even sent us home with seeds for our garden! We highly recommend staying here and taking her classes!

Loved staying here. I booked a homestead tour as well and Rebecca was so knowledgeable and lovely - definitely recommend doing this if you're curious about permaculture. I hiked across the street at the nature preserve, did some yoga watching the sunrise come up, and enjoyed the outdoor shower (there's a full inside bathroom too). All around recommend this lovely lil stay

This was my second time at Rebecca’s place and it’s such a gem! So easy to get to from Austin and have a little nature escape! The energy of this special place is always felt! I love that that there is an indoor space for yoga, resting or a class!

This is my second time coming to Wyldwood! I brought a group of women here and Rebecca and the property are so special! Its such an easy place to get away from Austin for a night or two and I love that there is indoor and outdoor space! The way the landed has been tended to is so special! Excited to come back!

The yoga barn @ Rebecca's homestead was perfection for our 3 night stay in Bastrop. The space is immaculate, beautiful and fantastic vibes. In the space there are beautiful views of the sunrise, the moonrise, the growing food forest, fireflies, bunnies, fruit orchards and it is very peaceful. The deck provides a lovely atmosphere for self-brought meals, drinks, reading/writing and quiet contemplation. There are even lovely woodsy trails for a quiet nature walk. Rebecca was totally available and a wonderful host. We'll definitely be back.

We had the most beautiful time at Rebecca's property. It's so peaceful, the land is full of nature and love. I rented out the yoga barn for my birthday gathering, a group of female friends. The day was so meaningful and Rebecca was the perfect host. We did the add on of Forest Bathing/ Nature Nourishment to start our day and we're so glad we did! Rebecca's knowledge of the land was so informative and passionate, and as a guide she led us into mindfulness and appreciation of nature which I am still feeling days after leaving. We planted okra and black eyes peas to finish the experience with her. I hope she gives gardening and growing classes in the future because I'll be there! The whole homestead experience was inspiring and you can feel the love put into the land. It's a gem of a property and we can't wait to go back.

Very little interaction which could be good for some, and the lights on the trail could improve the walk to the car at night and in the morning. Camping to parking was too far from each other. The host was nice.

This was the perfect spot. A friend of mine flew into Austin from a long trip very late at night and his arrangements were canceled last minute. I found this spot the day before he flew in. Rebecca was so kind in telling me about renovations that were occurring at the time but it wasn’t enough for me to want to change locations. Her property is beautiful. Wildflowers thickly cover the yard in front of the barn. You take a short walk through the forest to get to the barn from the parking lot and it gets you into a calmer headspace immediately. The barn was spectacular, huge, clean, simple, not cluttered but she still gave us permission to use her yoga equipment that was there. There is AC in the barn but we didn’t need it! We just opened the windows and turned on the fan. It was perfect. We heard the call of what Rebecca told us was the Chuck Wills Widow, beautiful night singing bird. Her garden was beautiful to wander through in the morning and the outdoor shower truly made it feel like a vacation and not a quick place to stay for the night. I look forward to staying there again and participating in some of the on-site activities.

This place was the perfect place to relax. I loved the landscape, the wildflowers, the yoga barn (with wifi) and the hospitality from Rebecca and Pepper (her sweet pooch). It was easy to park and walk my tent in. It was close to the bathroom and shower. She has a lovely garden to poke around in and lots of trails to explore. And it was great to take a few minutes each morning to do some stretches in her beautiful yoga barn. I’ll stay here again for sure and bring my husband next time. I got the highest sleep and readiness scores on my Oura ring from my two nights here. Highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and book.

THIS PLACE DOES NOT HAVE A BED. Rebecca is really nice but I didn’t read the description very well and did not notice that this place doesn’t have a bed. I rent it to spend the night and I had to sleep on the floor. The most uncomfortable night, even thought the garden and surroundings was beautiful. At least I recommend the host to have a bed for people that stay the night.

Rebecca’s Homestead is a hidden gem. The camping area was secluded, but had easy access to the gorgeous yoga barn. Thoughtfully designed trails adorn the property. Hosts were friendly and gracious, but respected camper’s privacy. Highly recommend.

Her land is beautiful - we enjoyed the trails on the property. The barn itself is awesome and was perfect for myself and my friends. The outdoor shower was a hit. The garden and chickens were a hit. The fire pit was a hit.
The surrounding area has plenty to do - Bastrop State Park, McKinney Roughs. Close to a gas station and firewood stand if you prefer that over the ground wood.
