Our pond is charming and the focal point of the camping adventure. We have a paddle boat and an electric john boat to toodle around in. Want to go fishing? The pond is stocked with bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and perch. There is also a small island we call “Angel Island” that you can fish from or just sit on the deck with your favorite beverage and enjoy the view. There is a riding/walking trail that is approximately 0.7 miles in distance and basically encompasses the perimeter of the back area. Walking is common, bikes are welcome and small 4 wheelers are also welcome. No side by sides please. You won’t be over crowded here as we currently only have 7 total camping sites. However, we do have enough property to accommodate large parties, reunions or any other type of get-togethers. Come see us and enjoy time away from the fast paced city! You might hear the sounds of the coyotes yipping in the night or perhaps one of the great horned owls calling out from a big oak tree. Open on weekends only. Learn more about this land: The Rock Pit is a 5 acre swimming hole located in Trinity County that has been there over 50 years. Long ago they had dug out an area on a hill for rock on the dirt roads, and hit and underground water table. There are no fish in the Rock Pit, as the pH is 4.5, so no fish will live in it. I recall swimming there as a small boy, and wanted to share my memories with others. Depth ranges all over, but the deep end is around 15 feet. I have 5 kayaks currently, but bring yours if you have them, along with your vests. There is fishing in Lake Livingston, my place is north of it. There is access to Lake Livingston via White Rock Creek. A public boat ramp in on Highway 94, just outside Trinity. Or you can go back towards Trinity, to highway 357 and go to a ramp closer to the big lake. Tall pine tress, a few Oaks, and maple trees surround the place. Bring your mosquito repellant, as you are in the country! The place is raw right now, but I am planning improvements such as a few A frame cabins, a showering area and so on. So many things to do! Quiet natural location away from the busy city. Located on a private access dirt road so a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There is a firepit but please burn inside the cinder blocks areas and keep it under control (not too big). Do not burn when it is windy. There should be wood available near the firepit. If more is needed, please help yourself to the branches on the land. Please make sure to completely put the fire out when done; there is a water tank near firepit to help you put out/soak the fire. There are 6 acres and you are welcome to camp anywhere you like, in the open areas or in the woody areas at the back. We have a RV barn area that can be used for shade, sitting, eating, relaxing, etc. You can use the tables and chairs. There is also a white water container on the table or the blue 55gal drum that you can use for washing. There are two 32 gallon rubber trash buckets that you can put trash in but make sure lid is closed when you're done to keep animals out. This site does have limited solar electric power in RV area. To use the microwave on the table, make sure to first power on the solar system by pressing the black button on the control box (see photo) on wall behind RV and then turn on the surge strip that microwave is plugged into. There is no running water so please plan accordingly. There is currently not a toilet available but I'm planning on building a composting toilet soon. For now, use the natural way and make sure to bury. For security, there is one camera on the property located near the front entrance and it is mainly for monitoring the front entrance area. There is also another camera near the north side of RV barn mainly for security of storage room and RV; for your privacy, on your book days, I will remotely turn the camera towards front entrance away from firepit and RV area. The RV barn currently already has a RV parked in it Our long-term plan is to also make the RV available, but we would need to install an in-ground septic system and electricity first.

Had a great time! It was our first glamp so if it helps anyone: wifi password is not in greeting msg and is in location listing, tent gets dark and outdoor shower doesn't have light so bring your lantern, and there is very limited surface to cook so bringing folding table helps.

Having a functioning bathroom despite being a primitive campsite is nice, and you're not too far away from the town if you need anything. Beautiful property. We were the only campers there since we were the only ones crazy enough to go camping in 90 degree weather. The lake with the canoes was a little small but still fun to row around in. The bathrooms at the entrance were nice. It was fairly clean in there but there was a spider. Also the lights in there did not work.

We had a great experience at Circle C Campground. Terry was incredibly kind and stayed in contact with us while we were delayed by heavy rain, offering help and detailed directions that made the campground easy to find. After hiking all day in the rain, this place was exactly what we needed — quiet, peaceful, and very well maintained. The outdoor shower and clean flush toilets were a huge bonus, and it was the perfect place to rest and recover. Highly recommend whether you’re doing part of the Lone Star Trail or just looking for a peaceful camping spot with easy access to great hiking loops nearby. We would definitely stay here again!
